Close your eyes and enter this magical world inside you.
There are two aspects of how we experience life,
The form and the formless.
And let's dive into the formless.
Let go of the shapes and colors and form.
The over dependence on our visual cortex and look inward.
There is no room for memory or judgment,
Labeling or categorization in today's session.
We are trying to explore the truth,
We are trying to explore reality as it is,
Unconditioned,
Undependent of what we know,
What we think,
What we like,
What we dislike.
This is the first step in releasing our body from the tyranny of our mind,
Letting our sensations run loose.
With our eyes closed,
Notice that there are no shapes for our body.
For instance,
Raise your left arm whichever way you want to,
Without opening your eyes.
And notice new sensations flowing.
If the mind is fooling you by drawing a line from your shoulder to your wrist,
Notice that if you stayed true with your current experience,
There are merely sensations appearing,
Dancing,
Maybe morphing into slight discomfort or pain.
And gently lower your arm.
Notice that with eyes closed and your allegiance to only truth the way it is,
Without thinking or memory.
With eyes closed,
Your body doesn't have any shape.
Typically we are addicted to drawing lines,
Straight lines,
This is my leg,
This is my posture.
If we were completely honest,
There is no way to even know that we are sitting.
Sitting,
Standing,
Lying down,
No first-hand information at this point.
Relish this freedom of not knowing.
Notice your body is no longer a perfect shape,
Familiar human shape.
It's more amorphous.
Wherever your attention falls,
You find sensations,
Like a cloud.
And as your attention travels between two perceptions,
For instance,
Take your attention to your left thumb.
Move your left thumb.
And now take your attention to your right big toe.
For your attention to cover the sensations from your left thumb to your right big toe,
You travel through space.
Felt probably instantaneous,
But that is palpable space inside you.
Formless,
Completely formless.
In comparison with eyes open and the forms and the shapes and the colors outside,
The sensations are a lot more amorphous,
Cloud-like,
But still there is a shape to it,
Random,
Arbitrary shape to it.
But notice that in between the perceptions,
There is nothing,
No thing,
No shape.
You can try it.
Every time your attention falls somewhere and goes from that somewhere to somewhere else,
It travels through a medium which is probably ignored by the mind,
But it is very relevant.
It is moving through the formless you,
The space of you.
It can't be anywhere else because it's inside you.
It has to be you.
Just like in an atom,
There is tremendous amount of space in between the electrons.
Just like that,
There is tremendous amount of space inside us that is completely ignored.
In favor of the form,
The formless is jettisoned.
Thrown away.
This space is the most important discovery in our quest of finding long-term peace because we have made our existence dependent on everything else.
When nothing exists,
You exist.
In between two sensations,
There is nothing,
But you are there,
Obvious but hidden,
Ignored.
In between two thoughts,
There is nothing,
But you exist.
Between your in-breath and out-breath,
There is a pause,
Where you exist when nothing else exists.
And if you can exist,
Which you do exist,
Without anything,
That is our dip into our true self,
Naked,
Unconditioned,
Independent,
True self.
For that we have to release our experience from the tyranny of the mind.
The visualization,
The categorization,
The labeling needs to be paused to experience it in a raw manner.
No lines,
No curves.
Once we visualize,
The human mind is trained for comparison.
Once we compare the visual aspect of our bodies with someone else,
Shame is obvious.
The tyranny exists in terms of rushing,
Stressing,
Stretching,
Overfeeding,
Overindulging,
Violence towards the body in the quest of our minds to get something.
When we meticulously disentangle the fabric,
The silk fabric of our sensations from the thorn,
Thorny bush of our mind,
The visual aspect,
We are reintroduced to our body with a completely new sense of feeling,
Of sensing.
Space becomes obvious.
Becoming grounded is within access now.
It's like going to Times Square when there's no one there to see how spacious it is and then to go there on a busy night filled with people and instead of our habit of bumping into people,
We will find space between people.
That experience of Times Square being spacious lingers,
Recontextualizes the crowded space.
That's what we are doing here.
We are not making anything.
I did not add this experience to you.
We are discovering it together for ourselves,
Within ourselves,
Without any fancy practice.
All of us are qualified Once we stand as the space in which our body and our mind appears,
We gain our freedom back.
We find ourselves as a manager of this body,
Of this mind.
Instead of our mind bullying our body,
Harmony finds its way through us.
You'll find that everything is moving in your experience right now.
Your sensations are moving,
My words are moving,
Your thoughts are moving,
Your breath is moving.
You are not moving.
In you this movement happens.
You'll automatically find your sleep deepen when visualization addiction slows down.
You'll find empathy way easier because you are in tune with your instrument that feels.
That is your sensations.
Maybe you'll find ease in your breathing.
Maybe you'll find ease in your health.
Those are all the side effects.
What you are really finding is yourself.
As this space,
As this formless experience of yourself amidst the form.
You are seeing through the illusion of the matrix.
Every time you feel solid,
Dense,
Overwhelmed,
You'll find this space within you,
This space as you is well within your axis and by the sheer fact of seeing it tonight your eyes have changed just like seeing an empty time square changes how you see it in a crowded time.
The memory of this experience will linger.
As a matter of fact we have this experience every night.
We are not aware of it,
We are not conscious of it.
In between two thoughts you are there.
Let this be an experience in between two sentences of mine there's a pause where everything disappears but you exist and if you really zoomed in on your experience of the sound of my words you will find it as a modulation of the space it's like a movement of water within water seems to be different but it appears in it,
Plays in it and vanishes in it.
Notice how your thoughts are just appearing in this space because for anything to appear there should be room for it whether it's an image or whether it's an internal sound recognize that there is no trace when the thought disappears water within water same is true with the sound of my words it's a modulation of this space just like your internal sound your external sound is also being heard nothing is left behind except the damn memory of it sometimes which haunts us if we are not careful about its true nature even the sensations your left thumb might seem like the same left thumb from 20 minutes ago but just like the sun,
It's new every single day these sensations are new every time you experience them your mind might tell you it's the old one but your heart knows that it's a new experience notice that everything is evolving,
Appearing,
Disappearing you are not you have never you can identify a thought you can identify an image you can identify the sound of my voice but there is nothing that you can pinpoint and say this is me that's the bad news but the good news is you don't have to what you are cannot be known by someone else and you don't need to know what you are because you are already it if all your experience falls away your thoughts fall away I go silent your sensations slow down everything in your experience disappears but you don't this is not something that can be thought through thinking will never get this point you can only think about movement you can only think about form what you are is beyond form just like you can't think about love you can't think about beauty you can express it but you can't pinpoint that's love,
That's beauty just like that you can't pinpoint that's me and everything that appears is merely water in water when in doubt know that everything that moves can't be you everything that changes cannot be you everything that appears and disappears can definitely not be you
