This contemplation is a Recognition, Gratitude, and Blessing, Coming home Meditation. Recognition of being supported and loved by the space (internal and external), the earth, and the breath. Gratitude toward receiving this unconditional love. Blessing the abode we dwell with the attention and care it deserves. Let's close our eyes.

Let's close our eyes.

Let's become aware of being in this room,

Supported by the ground.

Let's be aware of being in this room,

Supported by the ground.

Let's be aware of being in this room,

Supported by the ground.

Be fully aware of your own presence,

Wherever you are.

Let's be aware of your own presence,

Wherever you are.

Let's be aware of your own presence,

Wherever you are.

Become aware of the space around you.

This space is always around us.

But let's consciously be aware of it.

This is not a mental exercise.

To become aware of certain distance around us.

This is the instant recognition.

Oh yeah,

This space around me.

I am here in this space around me.

This is the instant recognition.

This is the instant recognition.

This is the instant recognition.

This is the instant recognition.

Let's become aware of the general sensations that we are experiencing right now.

Just a flow of sensations without focusing on your feet or your back or your head.

But just a simple recognition.

Oh yeah,

I can feel the sensations,

Whatever they may be.

And now let's become aware of the breath.

Nothing specific about the breath,

But just a general recognition.

Let's become aware of the breath.

As we became aware of the external space,

Around us,

Let's become aware of the internal space where thoughts might be arising,

Emotions might be arising,

Images or words might be appearing.

It is just a general recognition.

We notice thoughts,

We notice emotions,

But they arise within us.

And let's become aware of that space within us.

Let's become aware of the internal space.

Let's see clearly for ourselves that the space around us the space within us is supporting us.

Just as the breath is supporting us,

The ground is supporting us.

We don't have to do anything to get this support.

Or if I can be a little poetic,

We don't have to do anything to be loved,

To be cared for by the space,

By the breath,

Or by the ground.

Just as we are being loved,

In a very sublime way,

This love is not flashy,

There are no gifts involved,

But it is undeniably there,

Caring for us,

Supporting us,

Holding us.

Thank you.

And if we are in a house,

Or a building,

That support,

That love,

That holding,

Is being transmitted through that house.

Let's acknowledge this love,

This care that we are receiving.

From the space,

From the earth,

And from the structure around and beneath us.

As the structure protects us from the from above,

It creates a very sacred atmosphere around us,

Where all the love is enclosed for us,

Directly holding us.

So let's acknowledge.

Thank you.

Thank you.

It's a relationship.

Whereas the love is being showered on us in the form of care,

Support,

We in turn reciprocate this with gratitude of being supported,

A deep gratitude of the space around us,

The structure that we are dwelling in.

Some of us might be in our home.

It's a very sacred word.

Home.

No matter where we go,

We long for home.

Somewhere in our hearts we feel this love.

We might forget to acknowledge it sometimes.

But home is what we long for.

Every time we leave,

We want to come back home.

This gratitude can come in the form of tears,

In the form of words,

Or in the form of blessing.

Thanking for the support and the love.

Maintaining the relationship of care with care.

Maintaining the sacredness of this home like a temple.

Just like everyone longs to go to their physical home,

People who are religious want to go to a spiritual home which they call a temple.

That longing to go home creates a very special vibration in that place,

In that physical space,

In that earth,

Which is loving and is also being cared for by us who are dwelling in it.

Home is a place where we are fearless,

Without inhibitions,

Without being self-conscious.

It's our safe,

Safe place.

A place to celebrate,

Share the love and support that is being showered on us,

With our friends and family,

Fully,

Fearlessly,

In the form of good food,

Music,

Art,

Beauty,

Laughter,

No pretense,

No concerns,

No conditions.

That's what we are getting.

That's what we are sharing.

If we are sick,

We want to go home.

If we are happy,

We want to go home.

In both the ways,

We are comforted and we are supported.

One of the Buddhist teachers named Jack Confield has a beautiful four-liner that he keeps saying I'm gonna steal some of it May I be happy?

It's a prayer to the universe May I be happy?

May I be healthy?

May I be loved?

May I be supported?

May this house that we dwell in be healthy May this house be loved and cared for and attended to May this sanctity and sacredness of this house be maintained and preserved and protected May I be blessed?

May this house be blessed May I be loved?

May I be loved?

May I be loved?

May I be loved?

Thank you
