A gentle meditation practice to connect with the Spirit within you. We settle into body and breath and then tap into connection with the Spirit within the space of the heart, before meditating with the mantra, 'Spirit, Move Me'. There is plenty of stillness and lots of silent space - the guidance given is to provide a loose framework only. This is your journey with Spirit. Your homecoming. Your transformation. Let it be guided by the movement of Spirit within you. With thanks to Chris Collins for the beautiful background music, 'Hope' (indie music box).

Welcome to your practice,

Your journey with spirit.

This will be a time for you to connect deep within,

To the spirit within you.

And from this place at your center,

Invite the shaping of your transformation,

The evolution of your life.

With the mantra,

Spirit move me.

There'll be plenty of silence and lots of time for stillness here.

I'll guide you gently in and provide a loose framework for the practice.

But this is your journey.

Your homecoming.

Your becoming.

We'll make space and allow spirit to flow.

So settle yourself in.

Take a breath.

Sink into your body.

Perhaps transformation will be slow and subtle.

Barely felt at the level of surface.

Or perhaps spirit will flow fast today,

Shifting you,

Prompting you,

Bringing change,

Bringing inspiration.

Know that whatever your experience,

As you sit in your intention to connect with the spirit within you,

You are recentering yourself deeply at your core.

Take a relaxed position,

Spine straight,

Softening your shoulders.

You can practice sitting cross-legged on the floor,

Or relaxed and upright in a chair,

Or even lying down if you crave that total surrender.

Take a moment to tune into your body and to follow its lead.

As you settle in,

Begin to feel and sense into your physical body in this moment.

Notice what's present,

Allowing space for any fatigue,

Or any tension,

Or maybe even pain.

Just allow a little softening in the shoulders,

In the chest,

The pelvis,

The jaw.

Making space for what is,

And allowing a gentle loosening to occur.

Soft,

Natural and sweet.

Let breath begin to slow and deepen,

Inviting it to come further down in the body,

Down into the belly.

Body softening,

Breath expanding the belly.

Begin to lengthen the exhale.

Take three slow,

Conscious breaths,

Inviting this extended exhale.

Breathing all the way out.

And now bring your awareness to the centre of the chest.

Feeling the encasing of the ribcage,

And listening for your beating heart within.

Can you feel any pulsing,

Or any warmth in this space?

Perhaps you can sense the spine at your back,

Where it supports the heart.

Come and rest here,

The inside of the spine,

Right behind the heart.

And into this space,

Softly offer the word,

Spirit.

Spirit.

Make this word a symbol of your desire to connect with the spirit within you.

You at your core.

Simply offer this word here,

As an acknowledgement of who you truly are.

Beyond all your ideas of yourself,

Your stories,

Your pain.

Rest here at the back of the heart.

Softening into stillness.

Quietly offering this one word,

Spirit.

Speaking to that place deep within you,

Where you and spirit are already one.

I'll leave you in this silent space for a while.

As you get distracted,

Let it all be okay.

Just come back here to your offering.

This one word,

Spirit.

Let it be a re-centering.

Calling you home.

And now I'll invite you to bring into your mind,

The mantra,

Spirit,

Move me.

Allowing the body to relax,

Let this phrase repeat softly in your mind.

Becoming your focal point,

Your anchor.

See if it wants to flow independently of the breath.

Or if perhaps it feels intuitive to match up with the inhale and exhale.

Perhaps,

Inhale spirit,

Exhale move me.

Or inhale spirit move me,

Exhale spirit move me.

Allow the flow of the mantra to come from inside you.

Falling naturally into its cadence,

Its patterns.

Allowing it to move and transform you.

Release the mind of expectations.

Just be attentive to the flow of experience.

Allowing the moment to be.

And we'll sink into silence again.

As you sit with the flow of spirit move me for the next few minutes.

Until I call you back to presence.

And now let the mantra fade from your mind.

Bringing awareness back to your breath and your body.

As we journey back towards the world.

Feel the connection with the surface beneath you.

The strength of your spine.

The fluidity of your body as it moves with the breath.

Begin to stretch and move the body out of the practice slowly and mindfully.

Paying attention to what's present for you and how you're feeling.

It can be nice to journal after this practice.

Reflecting on the experience.

Or on anything that arises as you sit with pen and paper.

How does spirit want to move you?

Thank you for taking the time to meet yourself in this way.

We honour you so deeply.

And I'm so grateful for this connection.

Spirit to spirit.

Offering you blessings for your day.

Thank you.

Your voice was very soothing and believable. The mantra spirit was such a warmth. The full mantra brought in a deep connection. I will add you and sit with you again. Near the end of the meditation my inner spirit moved me to be the light. Everyday … Namaste. πŸ™
