Welcome to day 10 of A Course in Miracles.
The thought today and what we're setting up for is really knowing when we are engaging in the thoughts in a way that is not productive to us.
So a past exercise was these thoughts don't mean anything and today's exercise is my thoughts do not mean anything.
So we're beginning to switch the focus to instead of these,
Something that's out there,
Really begin to see that this is in fact something that comes from me and my thoughts can also be coming from the greater collective consciousness.
So just sitting with that,
I'm knowing that we're paving the way to begin to see the way that we are identified with the movie that is our life,
With the movie that are our circumstances,
With the movie that is our feelings and our feeling states are really powerful because they can begin to show us what is there underneath and I know that there are many thoughts that come up that in fact mean nothing,
Mean nothing.
So begin to just scan your mind for whatever thoughts come up,
Don't judge them and just begin to say my thoughts about being hungry means nothing.
My thought about feeling sick means nothing.
My thought about being late means nothing.
Whatever thoughts come up for you,
Just begin to say that and know that the intellect doesn't have to understand this and in fact the intellect might be saying this is stupid why am I doing this and that's perfect.
That is part of the process to begin to see the thoughts and recognize that there's a deeper truth is to begin to grow into the empowered self that we are.
See when I am so wrapped up in all of the things that pop into my head I know that life seems hard,
Life seems difficult and I don't need to buy into any of that story because in fact when you know you can you will in every meaning of that phrase and when you know you can't you won't.
So what thoughts could you be telling yourself?
Could you be subscribing to?
Could you be accepting as the truth?
Know that through these exercises we are undoing that.
We are undoing the total identification with the thoughts.
It's not to say that we throw out the intellect but the intellect when inspired and possibility can take us to greater heights of being and then we are so useful to ourself to the world to everyone around us but when I'm sitting identifying with all the thoughts I cannot do that.
Right where you are you are perfect.
Right where you are there's a presence for love there's a presence for joy.
Right where you are there is authentic power.
Right where you are you are calm,
Peaceful.
You can be in the eye of the storm calm and allowing everything else to go by and just see it.
