Being neutral has the power and courage to keep emotions aside and see our life and situations objectively. Acknowledging and detaching ourselves from our situations is a peaceful place to be. It enhances the alignment of chakras and brings in synchronization between mind, body, and spirit. It helps in improving clarity, focus, and courage to face difficult situations. | No music, just neutral This track contains ambient sounds in the background

Hi everyone,

I welcome you all to the day 7 of 21 days meditation as today we are going to talk about a concept of neutrality.

It's a beautiful mindfulness session,

Very short sessions which can be utilized and used by us in our day to day life at work,

At home.

We won't be cooking,

You might be in a difficult situation at work,

You might be looking at the screen and there are times we are overwhelmed with the situations and the amount of data we are driven with and this kind of a technique,

This kind of a concept can really help us in today's time.

So let's get started with it,

Okay.

Neutrality is based on a body position called as being neutral.

Right now I am sitting with you and as you can see that I am in a neutral position right now.

Neutral position means that where your spine is as straight as possible,

Your shoulders are intact,

Your head is straight.

What is not neutral is,

None of these positions are neutral.

It's funny for me to draw like this,

Of course I have a background of theatrics so I am going to do the theoretical here.

So the neutral position is,

On a special level we have got our chakras,

Okay and we are not talking about chakras right now but just for the information,

Our chakras are aligned in one position and when we are able to sit straight with our spine straight as much as possible,

It helps us to create a neutral position.

A neutral position helps us to keep our overwhelming emotions aside from a situation and helps us to make some definite and clear decisions when it is needed.

So let's practice a little bit of it right now.

In this particular mindfulness session,

I will leave the choice up to you whether you would like to keep your eyes closed or open and it can be practiced with both.

Gently breathe in and breathe out.

As you breathe in and breathe out,

Please choose to either close your eyes or keep it open.

Breathe in and breathe out a few more times.

Relax your hands,

Relax your shoulders and go on to feel your head.

Feel your ears.

Feel your nose,

Your neck.

Feel your shoulders.

Anytime you feel any of your body parts feeling a little more stressed or tensed,

Just let go.

Breathe in and breathe out in that particular body part a few times and you will feel better.

Feel your hands,

Feel your chest,

Feel your stomach,

Feel your spine,

Your lower back,

Your legs,

Feel the position you're sitting in right now.

Feel your knees,

Your calves,

Feel your feet.

Keep breathing in and keep breathing out.

Feel the surroundings around you.

Try to visualize what is the color of the wall around you.

As much as you can remember,

No pressure.

What is kept in front of you?

Which room is this?

Feel each other and the surrounding.

Feel any smell or fragrance you can feel.

And in one word if you need to describe this room,

What would it be?

And why?

Breathe in and breathe out.

Breathe in and breathe out a few more times and gently come back and open your eyes in case you had closed them.

I want you to see any situation,

Any regular day to day situation which sometimes stress to you or brings in some kind of tension or anxiety.

Look at that situation.

It could be something very small which might happen on a day to day basis.

Look at that situation and sit in a neutral position.

Hands straight,

Head straight,

Shoulders intact.

And just look at that situation,

Keeping your emotions,

Your feelings related to that situation aside just for the moment.

And for next few seconds look at that situation as a third person and ask yourself what do you need to do?

And come back.

Go ahead and do what you need to do.

Anytime you feel you're at work and sometimes a lot of things come together at once,

Physically take a step back and for 30 seconds,

1 minute,

2 minutes,

Whatever works for you,

Practice neutrality.

Look at your screen,

Look at your work and for next few seconds breathe in and breathe out.

Keep the overwhelming emotions aside for a while and ask what do I need to do to take care of this situation?

What do I really need to do?

And if you're doing already what you need to do,

Go on with it.

I wish you a day filled with neutrality,

Filled with awareness and filled with complete consciousness.

This moment,

This very moment is the reality and I wish you the day filled with that.

Take care of yourself and I will be seeing you tomorrow with another unique session.
