Welcome.
This is brought to you by MindfulnessMattersNow.
Com.
My name is David,
And what I'm going to do is offer you seven CDs,
Or a series of seven,
One for every day of the week,
Of mindfulness exercises and processes.
The intention here is to provide a space in which you can invest your time to learn how to use these tools to create greater opportunities for peace and joy,
And release things like stress and fear on a consistent basis.
These tools are geared to be used on a daily basis.
You can call them DMPs,
Daily mindfulness practices.
And so,
For the next few moments,
I'm going to explain the whole series,
And then I will get into series one.
The seven series will begin with breath work.
The second series is monkey mind management.
The third series is body scan or stress diffuser.
The fourth series is urban meditation.
The fifth series is imaging.
The sixth series is mantra.
And the last series is a guided meditation.
As you come into this opportunity for stillness,
I want you to know that that's what it's all about.
All of these processes are geared to lead you to stillness,
But also they're geared to give you tools to find mindfulness.
Let me explain the difference.
Stillness is that point within where you are really,
Really quiet in terms of the mind,
In terms of the stirring of the thoughts,
And you find yourself in a place of peace and actually bliss.
Mindfulness combines and uses stillness in its modality,
Especially in kinetic mindfulness,
But it's also a way to find stillness within the busyness of your day.
There are two things that we get involved with.
There's doing and being.
Doing is the daily getting up and progressing towards a goal and taking care of bills and loved ones,
And that's the doing part of life.
The being part of life is what we are learning how to enhance and actually expand.
And that's when you move into stillness,
And that's when you use mindful practices to find,
To recharge,
To regroup,
To find that spot from which all energy comes from.
All ideas,
Answers,
Solutions,
And desired results come from.
And we find that in stillness.
And so mindfulness,
Stillness,
Meditation,
They're all fantastic.
But in this moment,
I'm offering to you kinetic mindfulness.
So you take that mindful definition of being aware of where you are in the moment.
You're aware of the sounds,
The smells,
Your feelings,
Everything,
But you're aware of that in the moment.
You're not using your energy to think about the past and any guilt or blame,
And you're not thinking about the future,
About any doubt or fear.
You're just breathing into the moment right here.
And so in that mindful state,
It becomes more clear that you are in that beingness.
And then you can move into the doing this with more power,
More vigor,
More of a foundation to accomplish what it is that you want to accomplish.
So I honor you for being here.
And let's move into series one.
