Welcome.
So I invite you now to find a comfortable way of laying down or sitting.
As you settle into your sitting or laying posture,
Really checking out,
Can I make some adjustment to be even very subtly,
Very slightly more comfortable,
And to make that adjustment,
To be as comfortable as possible.
And then,
If you like,
Allowing your eyes to close gently,
And if for you that doesn't feel okay,
You'd rather keep your eyes open,
And then to really trust your own guidance,
And let your eyes gaze softly.
And so I'll offer some guidance,
And to really trust your own guidance.
So if something I suggest does not feel okay for you in this moment,
No pressure to do what I say.
My instructions are simply an invitation.
So to listen also for your inner guidance.
With that in mind,
I invite you to take three full body breaths,
Breathing in deeply,
And breathing out slowly.
And allowing your breath to simply resume its own natural rhythm.
Allowing breathing to relax you.
Feeling the support of whatever you're sitting or laying on.
Really to feel the support for your physical body sitting or laying.
Letting yourself receive that support simply at the physical level.
Feeling an awareness of breathing.
And imagining you're in a safe place,
And you may call to mind some actual place in nature perhaps,
Or a particular home or room,
Or some other place where you feel truly safe.
And welcome.
You may imagine being in this place alone,
Or you may imagine being in the company of a trustworthy and truly safe person,
Or maybe animal.
Some being in whose company you feel home,
Where you feel truly safe.
So feeling breathing in your body,
Holding this image of a safe environment.
Feeling in awareness.
Holding this image.
Feeling your breathing body.
Meeting yourself with kindness and care.
And I invite you to consider that ease,
Peace,
And a sense of safety in the world are available to you right here.
So just continuing to practice in this way for a few more moments.
I invite you this morning to take a deep breath.
You
