Welcome to Root Chakra Grounding Meditation.
Purpose of today's meditation is to create safety within.
From this state,
You can move more purposefully and intentionally in your day.
Throughout the day,
You can also remind yourself to come back to this state by having a simple anchor that you can choose right now.
This anchor will serve as a reminder of the state you will be creating throughout this meditation.
Your anchor can be an affirmation.
It can be some sentence that you feel resonates with you.
It can be I am open to creating safety within.
Your anchor can also be a piece of jewelry that you wear your entire day.
And every time you look at this jewelry,
It will serve as a reminder to come back to the present state.
The only state where anything happens,
Really.
Whatever you choose,
Let's set that aside for a moment and let's first create this peaceful state within.
A state that is innately close to you,
Familiar to you,
That is your most natural state.
Even though it might not be your most common state,
It is still something that you deep down know and recognize.
So if you haven't already,
Find a comfortable sitting position with your eyes closed or if that is not accessible,
Keeping a soft gaze at something neutral like the floor or the wall.
Notice your posture and see if there is space to elongate your spine,
Open the chest a little bit and relax the shoulders away from your ears.
Let's take a couple of deep breaths.
First exhale completely and on the next inhale,
Start by filling up your belly all the way to your chest,
Holding the breath at the very top for just a moment and then exhaling,
Sighing out,
Letting go,
Relaxing into the posture.
Another deep breath in,
Hold and then exhale,
Letting go,
Prolonging the out-breath as well,
Releasing,
Beautiful.
And one more deep breath now on your own and after your exhale,
Simply let your breath now flow naturally without changing anything anymore.
And now bring your awareness to your posture.
Notice your spine.
Notice the space it's forming,
The position it's in,
The curves it's making.
And now lower your focus on the very base of your spine,
The space of your muladhara,
Your root chakra.
This is where it all begins.
This is the area of your root,
Of the ground that you stand on.
So notice the area of your body that is around the base of your spine.
Notice any sensations in this area,
Anything that comes up as you observe it.
Notice the gentle pressure of the surface beneath you.
And with every breath,
Allow just a little bit of more softness into this area,
Noticing the tension in your hips,
Slowly melting with every breath,
Knowing that you can let go just a little bit and whatever stays,
That you can slowly release with the next breath.
And the next one.
Now allow the color red to spread around this area where your root is.
Notice the vibrancy of the red that you see now.
Notice the shade,
The strength of the color.
Notice the flow and all the shapes you see.
Don't impose,
Assume what it should look like.
Allow your muladhara to be as it is.
You are simply an observer,
You are noticing the energy at your root without judgment,
Without assigning any meaning.
Now slowly start to visualize the rooting process starting from the base of your spine and slowly making its way into the earth.
Visualize those roots growing from your muladhara gently into the earth.
With every breath,
Feel your roots getting stronger,
Deeper,
Bigger.
Feel this connection with the earth.
Feel the support of the ground beneath you.
Feel your roots as they create this complex web beneath you,
All for the purpose of connecting you deeper and stronger with the earth.
With every exhale,
You are rooting yourself more deeply.
And with every inhale,
You are drawing in the energy from the earth.
The energy that the earth is giving you freely,
Wanting to support you,
Wanting to be there for you.
Feel its power.
Now slowly in your own time,
Come again back to the base of your spine.
Come back to your muladhara chakra.
And notice again the sensations in this area.
Notice the vibration of every cell of the body in this area.
And notice the color.
Notice once again the vibrancy of the red you see,
The shade,
The strength.
Notice the flow and the shape.
And observe it with a curiosity and without attaching any meaning.
Slowly come back to your breath.
Once again,
Breathe deeply into your body.
Breathe in all the way to your muladhara.
And breathe out,
Going again from the base of your spine all the way to the top.
Notice how you feel.
Notice the sensations.
Notice this new state you're in.
In the next couple of breaths,
Blink your eyes open,
Slowly and gently coming back to the room you're in,
Observing the room and anything else you see,
While also noticing the different attitude you might carry at this moment.
And again,
Remind yourself of the anchor that you chose,
And of the possibility to come back to this deeply rooted state whenever you decide and create the space.
I wish you have a beautiful rest of your day and feel free to come back to this meditation anytime you want to be reminded of this deeply natural state of rootedness,
Of groundedness.
Namaste.
