The practice of meditation could be described as a loving embrace of the mystery of the arising moment. With every breath we step into the unknown. Sometimes in life, we feel this way too. As if the path we are travelling is opening in ways we cannot imagine. In this practice join international mindfulness teacher, Neil Seligman, The Conscious Professional for a strengthening practice which will unite your unknowns with the courage of your conscious intentions.

Welcome to practice.

My name is Neil Seligman,

Founder of The Conscious Professional.

Thank you for joining me today for this guided mindfulness meditation focusing on stepping into the unknown.

Begin by finding a comfortable posture and by bringing your awareness to the breath.

Take a few moments to let yourself arrive and allow the breath to draw you gently into internal awareness.

Allow the gaze to soften,

The eyes to close.

Dropping in on the breath,

Discovering the breath in the body.

Following the inhale all the way in and the exhale all the way out.

And so as we join with the breath,

We invite the warmth of awareness into this breathing body.

And as we do so,

We notice the mystery of the present moment.

Each breath a new adventure for the body,

A breath never breathed before.

Each breath a collaboration with life,

A process that is emergent,

That is emerging.

As the breath drops in,

Awareness drops into being the witness of awareness dissolving through the body.

Finding the body appearing in this moment.

And so we feel the points of contact between the body and the ground,

Points of contact,

Body parts upon body parts.

We sense the air moving around us.

We sense the temperature of the body.

And we feel the micro movements of the body.

And the body itself,

Just like the breath emerges from the mystery.

To be met in present moment awareness.

And held,

Held by the narrative we remember of our lives.

We remember to open first to the heart and to the body.

Body,

Heart,

Mind.

Practicing with a clear intention to be in and with the body.

To be connected by and through the heart.

And then to open to the wisdom of the mind and its emergent creative state.

Of thoughts and images.

Words.

Dreams.

The furniture of the mind appears.

And so as we contemplate the idea of stepping into the unknown.

Our practice already teaches us.

That we are living on the precipice of the unknown in every moment.

This is the most natural state.

Poised on the fulcrum of time.

Gifted with action.

Intention.

And open to exploring our experience and this world.

And so as we breathe just allowing the sounds to take you deeper.

Into your own practice on the sounds.

As you welcome yourself into the unknown.

Meeting yourself anew as if for the first time.

Connected to all worlds,

All times,

All spaces.

All realities.

In the presence of your own heart.

Finding yourself in the right place at the right time.

Connecting with the serendipity of your own journey.

Connecting with the strand of life that beckons you forward.

You find all of the courage that you need to step into the unknown.

Which is simply this moment.

Over and over again.

Unfolding.

Revealing.

Stepping forward one foot after the other.

Making space for yourself in the unknown by not limiting your future with your predictions,

Your thoughts.

Your judgements,

Your preconceptions.

Allowing the spark of creativity to meet you in the moment.

Knowing that it comes packed with all information to guide you forward.

Remembering that you have everything that you need.

Locating the vision of the next step.

Calling it forward.

Landing it in your consciousness,

Landing it in awareness.

Seeing it,

Hearing it,

Feeling it,

Opening to it,

Embracing it,

Welcoming it.

Knowing that you will step forward at the perfect moment for you.

And that there is nothing more to do.

Nowhere to go.

Nothing to do.

Just this.

Just this.

Breathing your practice through the body.

Grounding the practice through the hands,

The feet,

The seat.

Holding your insights in the heart,

The mind,

The body.

Opening a space of integration for this practice.

And holding a clear vision of your next right step directly into the unknown.

Take a few moments to sit with yourself to complete your practice.

As much stillness and silence as you need.

And in your very own time,

Coming back to the breath,

Coming back to the body.

And only when you're ready,

Allowing the eyes to reopen.

Thank you for joining me in practice today.
