This meditation is from our Mindfully Happy Morning series and in this meditation we are flowing in the same direction as life.

We're choosing to respond rather than to react.

We are recognising thought for what it is,

Just thought.

We're opening up ready and refreshed to face a new day full of new possibility.

Welcome to this,

The new day,

The dawning of a new way of being.

Drawing in some fresh,

Deep breaths,

Allowing these deep new breaths right down into the abdomen and feeling that rise and fall that happens in the abdomen when we lower the breathing in this way.

Opening right up as we take in the fresh air of this new day and releasing as we release the breath.

Opening and releasing.

Opening up to new ideas,

New possibilities and letting go of anything that is holding us back.

Breathing,

Opening and releasing.

Focusing as much attention as we can in the breath that we're in,

In the moment that we're in.

Being aware of this moment.

Opening up to this moment.

Thoughts may arise,

But they're just thoughts.

Thoughts are not facts,

Just thoughts.

It is our relationship with our thoughts,

The way that we relate to them that creates our experience of life.

So I invite you to allow any thoughts that arise just to come and go.

So just let go of thoughts without judgement as we let go of the breath.

Breathing,

Opening,

Releasing,

Letting go.

Breathing,

Opening,

Releasing.

Breathing,

Opening,

Releasing.

Placing the fullness of our attention in the sensations of the rise and the fall.

The opening and releasing.

Open and release.

Open and relax.

Open and release.

Allowing yourself to just follow the gentle rise and fall of the breath that happens all by itself.

Breath is the life-giving force that occurs all by itself.

Rising and falling away again.

Life is not a battle to be got through.

We can flow in the same direction as life if we simply allow.

Breathing and allowing.

Breathing,

Opening,

Releasing.

Breathing,

Opening,

Releasing.

We may not be able to control the universe but we can control how we respond to the things that happen to us in life.

With a single breath I recognise my ability to respond to the things that happen.

To respond and not react.

To choose my actions in life and to flow with life rather than battle against the tide.

Flowing with the breath as we open and breathe.

As we expand and release.

Flowing with the breath.

Refreshed and ready to face a new day full of new possibility.

Taking this time to draw in a few fresh breaths before in your own time opening the eyes.
