Welcome to day two of your better sleep hack.
I think it's important to embrace the power of sleep.
What it does.
How it helps you.
When out of balance.
How far away a good night's sleep can seem.
Some people would say that improving sleep is difficult.
Even impossible.
That we are who we are.
And that's that.
That we're stuck with our issues.
And problems linked to sleep.
And you'll see those people around you every day.
And it would be so easy to be one of them.
Except that when you look back over your life.
Where there was a calmness.
A feeling of being in control.
The ability to let go.
Each and every day.
Each and every night.
Remembering before when you would sleep beautifully.
You might begin to realize.
That change isn't difficult at all.
Change is inevitable.
You might remember things you once believed were true.
That make you sleep so much better.
Right now.
Some things that were once difficult or a problem.
Are now done without thought.
Remember driving a car for the first time.
Remember riding a bike.
And now beginning a life where the possibilities are.
Sleeping better.
Where patterns are broken.
With a change in mind.
Is a change for good.
With a calmness of mind.
A calmness of body.
A deep,
Deeper sleep with change.
And just remember.
It may not be until the second or third day or night.
You realize that things are changing.
Something so small.
You might not even notice.
So as you find yourself continuing to change.
As we do.
You might begin to realize.
How much more your mind and body can relax around the idea.
The idea of a wonderful.
Calm.
Relaxed night's sleep.
A time to recharge.
A time to recover.
A time of peace for the unconscious mind.
To know the direction your mind goes at night.
A place of ease.
Your type of ease.
You want this change to happen.
Where you want to go.
As you take a deep,
Deep breath in.
Holding for a moment in time.
Holding for a moment in space.
And release the breath.
Learning new ways to break patterns of sleep.
Just building slowly better sleep patterns.
The thoughts of the mind slowing down each and every night.
The thoughts of the mind.
Just seem to melt away.
With each and every breath.
As you take in a deep,
Deep breath.
Holding for a moment.
A moment in your time.
A moment in your space.
Releasing the mind.
Releasing the breath.
And again.
Over the following days and nights.
With you.
Sleeping again.
Just breaking those patterns of sleep and balance.
And that's all this is.
An imbalance.
So let's get rebalancing.
Let's get recharging.
Our goal,
Over all in your time.
In your space.
Is the calming of your mind.
The calming of your body.
While recharging the mind and body.
So again.
Taking a deep,
Deep breath.
Counting from one to ten.
One breathing in.
Two breathing out.
Relaxing body.
Relaxing mind.
Three breathing in.
Four breathing out.
Calming the mind.
Calming the body.
And now.
Just again continue to breathe to the count of ten.
Just keep breathing in with each and every breath.
Holding for a moment.
And releasing in your time.
Releasing in your space.
Taking a deep,
Deep breath in.
Holding for a moment.
And releasing with the calmness of mind,
The calmness of body.
Taking a deep,
Deep breath out.
Taking a deep,
Deep breath in.
Relaxing more and more.
Relaxing deeper and deeper.
Breathe in three.
Notice the body.
Notice the breath.
Breathe out four.
Relaxing at your pace.
Relaxing in your time.
Now breathe in and out all the way to ten.
Relaxing deeper and deeper.
And of course,
It's not just how you sleep that makes this so powerful.
It's paying attention kindly to yourself.
Knowing how much better sleep can make you feel.
That feeling of calmness of mind and body at night.
That if you were to imagine passing to those through that melting away.
The benefit you'd gain.
The difference in how you sleep.
You might notice as you focus that attention on the calmness of mind and body.
Just spending all the time in the world.
Allowing yourself the benefit of a better night's sleep.
In this feeling.
Letting your mind refill with everything that would mean you're ready for what life brings.
And you might find that as you get used to listening to this.
To giving yourself the time to guide your awareness towards creating this powerful and positive feeling within you.
Allowing the mind to melt away any worries right now.
Any anxieties or fears.
Letting every part of you grow stronger from the moments of sleep.
Noticing how things begin to change for the better in your life.
And it's different for everybody how this happens.
Just as you're getting stronger,
Your mind is getting calmer.
Or maybe you're getting calmer and your mind stronger.
We all need to take the time as you take in a deep,
Deep breath.
Holding for a moment and just releasing your time.
Releasing your space.
Allowing yourself the time to sleep.
To give ourselves what we need during the times of sleep.
Learning to maintain what's most important.
So for a moment,
Take one more deep,
Deep breath in.
And ask yourself,
Just for you,
What's most important to you as you exhale and release the breath.
And it can be so easy to do as you're sleeping.
Letting your mind pay attention to anything that lets you know you're able to let go of moments of time,
Day or night,
That seem to come back for reasons or not.
More and more letting go of the day and night as you sink deeper and deeper into yourself.
To a place again where you can rest.
And again,
Use what you find in this place to replenish yourself.
To rejuvenate while you sleep more and more over the next few hours.
So as we take one more deep breath in,
Holding for a moment,
Releasing the breath.
And again remembering that it's moments in time,
Moments in sleep,
Where the mind and body relax at your pace.
Breathe in knowing that each and every day and each and every night will improve your ability to sleep.
In your time,
In your space,
In your sleep.
See you again here tomorrow for a better sleep meditation.
