Welcome to Sacred Goddess Rising and this meditation of loving kindness.
So let's go ahead and just welcome ourselves into our space and allow our bodies to become comfortable,
Adjusting in any way you need to.
And I invite you to participate in a seated position and as you begin to connect with your breath just allowing the spine to lift and the shoulders to soften,
The jaw to soften,
The forehead to soften.
Allowing us to just be here and the eyes can close down or you can have them at a soft focus a few feet away from you or if you like even on a candle.
And begin to connect with your breath.
As today we practice this beautiful pillar of mindfulness that is loving kindness.
In this practice we generate a wish of well-being for ourselves and for others.
We're going to pay awareness now to the exhale so inhaling and on the exhale lengthening and slowing down as you breathe out.
This can be done through the nose or the mouth,
Whatever feels good and right for you in this moment.
And feeling yourself seated here,
Seated in the present moment.
Let's begin by offering wishes of well-being to ourselves as we repeat in our mind,
May I be well,
May I be safe and free from suffering,
May I be happy,
May I be well,
May I be safe and free from suffering,
May I be happy.
And as we say these phrases we're inviting our hearts to open to accept them,
May I be well,
May I be safe and free from suffering,
May I be happy.
And now bring to mind someone close to you that you care about deeply,
Perhaps it's your beloved,
A family member or a dear friend and imagine that person sitting in front of you right now.
Think of what you wish for them.
And now let's send our wishes to them.
May you be well,
May you be safe and free from suffering,
May you be happy,
May you be well,
May you be safe and free from suffering,
May you be happy.
And imagine them receiving your wishes of well-being.
And now let's bring to mind someone who's perhaps struggling at this time,
Maybe someone who you know has experienced a loss,
Struggling with illness or perhaps struggling in their work life or in relationships.
And let's imagine that person sitting in front of you as we wish for them.
May you be well,
May you be safe and free from suffering,
May you be happy,
May you be well,
May you be safe and free from suffering,
May you be happy.
Now let's bring to mind someone who you see in your everyday life but you don't have much interaction with,
You may have never spoken.
And imagine that person sitting in front of you.
May you be well,
May you be safe and free from suffering,
May you be happy,
May you be well,
May you be safe and free from suffering,
May you be happy.
And now let's bring to mind someone with whom you've had some perhaps difficulties with and offer them the words,
May you be well,
May you be safe and free from suffering,
May you be happy.
Breathing this from your heart,
May you be well,
May you be safe and free from suffering,
May you be happy.
Now let's extend our wishes to everyone near us right now,
May they be well,
May they be safe and free from suffering,
May they be happy.
And in our minds eye let's bring in our friends and our family,
May they be well,
May they be safe and free from suffering,
May they be happy.
Everyone you know,
Everyone who is a part of your life,
May they be well,
May they be safe and free from suffering,
May they be happy.
And let's extend our wishes beyond the place where we are,
Beyond the people that we know,
To extend over the entire earth to all people,
All animals,
All life.
May all beings be well,
May they be safe and free from suffering,
May they be happy.
Feeling this sense of well wishing extending out from you in all directions,
Noticing how you feel in this moment,
The sensations in your body,
The quality of your mind.
And again wish for yourself,
May I be well,
May I be safe and free from suffering,
May I be happy.
If you like place a hand on your heart as you say these words to yourself,
May I be well,
May I be safe and free from suffering,
May I be happy.
Breathing in fully,
And breathing out fully.
Breathing in fully,
And breathing out fully.
Allow yourself to be present.
Allow yourself to be aware of the earth once more beneath you.
I wish you a beautiful day.
Namaste.
