Hello and welcome to today's meditation.
I thought I would do a meditation all about sending some love to ourselves,
Showing us that we are worthy to give ourselves grace.
So just find yourself in a comfortable position.
A few suggestions would be in Shavasana,
Perhaps with a folded blanket or a pillow underneath your neck.
Your neck slightly tucked in towards your chin and your legs out long towards the end of your mat or a bolster,
A folded up blanket or pillow underneath your knees for some support.
So another position that would be great would be seated cross legged and again a folded blanket or pillow underneath your sit bones.
Just helps elevate your hips a little bit,
Takes some tension off,
Helps you have a nice long neck and spine.
So just connecting to your breath.
Don't change anything,
Just observe,
Becoming aware of both the inhale and also the exhale.
Lengthening your spine and tending your crown towards the ceiling or the top of your mat perhaps.
Take a deep inhale and slowly exhale.
And again inhaling and exhaling.
I invite you to close your eyes.
Just settling in.
Maybe a roll of your shoulders,
Softening those shoulders away from your ears.
Just taking any movements here to get really comfortable so that you can just stay in stillness and focus on your meditation and your breath.
So you can fully absorb every word I say and you can connect your breath with all the words.
So today's meditation is some affirmations.
So you can actually do this meditation whichever way you prefer.
You can repeat them out loud to yourself.
You can repeat them in your mind or you can just focus on the words as you inhale and you exhale.
Just focus on the words and the feelings that come up.
I am grateful for today.
I am grateful for my life.
I am enough and I always have been.
I will be kind to myself.
I will be kind to others.
I will give myself grace.
I will allow myself to hope.
I will allow myself to be compassionate to myself.
I will honor my body.
I will love what I see in the mirror.
I choose to live in the present.
I choose to let go of the past.
I choose to forgive myself.
I choose today to forgive others.
I am worthy of a wonderful life.
I am worthy of joy.
I am worthy of love.
I am worthy of peace.
I will let go of self-judgment.
I will let go of judging others.
I will give gratitude for today.
I will give gratitude for yesterday's lessons.
I will give gratitude for tomorrow.
Self-love.
Self-respect.
Self-worth.
There is a reason they all start with self.
You cannot find them in anyone else.
Again noticing your breath,
Your inhale and your exhale.
Feel the echoes.
How your body feels different from just minutes ago.
Giving gratitude to yourself for taking this time out.
Slowly roll on to your right side using your arm as a pillow.
Taking a few breaths.
And if you're seated,
Put your hands on your heart center.
Feeling your heart beat.
Giving gratitude for your life.
May you take this peace and love that you have made and this beautiful energy and shine it forward to everyone you see today.
