Transcript

Lamrim prayers.

Prayers are intentions to shape your mind.

Refuge.

Seeking safe direction.

I go for refuge in the Guru.

I go for refuge in the Buddha.

I go for refuge in the Dharma.

I go for refuge in the Sangha.

I go for refuge in the Guru.

I go for refuge in the Buddha.

I go for refuge in the Dharma.

I go for refuge in the Sangha.

I go for refuge in the Guru.

I go for refuge in the Buddha.

I go for refuge in the Dharma.

I go for refuge in the Sangha.

Generating Bodhichitta,

The spirit of enlightenment.

Spirit of Enlightenment,

I go for refuge until I am enlightened to the Buddha,

The Dharma,

And the Supreme Assembly.

And from the collection of merit that I create by practicing generosity and so forth,

May I attain enlightenment for the benefit of all living beings.

Repeat three times,

The four immeasurables,

Boundless emotions.

May all sentient beings have happiness and the causes of happiness.

May all sentient beings be free from suffering and the causes of suffering.

May all sentient beings never be separated from the joy that is enlightenment.

May all sentient beings abide in equanimity,

Free from attachment and aversion,

Holding some close and others distant.

Recite three times,

The seven-limb prayer.

Respectfully I prostrate with my body,

Speech,

And mind.

I present clouds of offerings,

Actual and imagined.

I confess all my negativities accumulated since beginningless time and rejoice in the virtues of all ordinary and enlightened beings.

Please Buddha,

Remain as our guide and turn the wheel of Dharma until samsara ends.

I dedicate all these virtues to the great enlightenment.

Recite once.

Mandala Offering Here is the great earth,

Filled with the smell of incense,

Covered with a blanket of flowers,

The great mountain,

The four continents,

Wearing a jewel of the sun and moon.

In my mind I make them a paradise of a Buddha and offer it all to you.

By this deed may every living being experience the pure world.

Recite once.

By the goodness of what I have just done,

May all living beings complete the accumulations of merit and wisdom,

And thus gain the two ultimate bodies that merit and wisdom make.

Recite once.
