Hi,

This is Dr.

Michelle with an opportunity for us to meditate together today with the intention to support us in becoming very relaxed.

So whether you want to use this meditation to help mitigate stress or anxiety or prepare yourself for a nap or a night of sleep,

The intention is just to let go and get very relaxed together.

The first task that I would invite anyone listening to do is to become still and to find a very comfortable place to sit,

To lay down,

To just become still.

And as with most meditations,

We want to begin with the breath.

And so I invite us just to take a deep breath together and just become conscious of the breath,

Allowing our awareness to be focused on the breath,

Breathing in and breathing out.

If the body needs to take a deep breath again,

Feel free.

If the body needs to breathe loudly,

Making noise,

Feel free to just take a real deep breath like that even sigh,

Letting that breath out,

Letting it go.

All of this signals our entire physical,

Emotional,

Mental and spiritual system of our intention to be still,

To become relaxed.

And we shall continue to breathe consciously and breathe deeply throughout this time using our breath to relax even more deeply.

And so we intend together to affirm that with every breath,

With every breath,

I become more relaxed,

More still.

With every breath,

I let go.

With every breath,

I go deeper into relaxation.

And since we're focusing upon the breath,

Let's use the breath to help us relax.

And so let's begin down at imagining our toes at the bottom of our body,

Our toes and wiggling them a little bit.

But also imagine breathing through the toes,

Just the breath that we are breathing now moving through our toes and moving up into our feet.

With every breath,

Relaxing more,

Feeling our toes and feet relaxing along with our breath,

Letting go of stress or tension,

Letting go of any anxiety,

Just breathing,

Being still,

Feeling the breath moving up now through our feet and into our ankles.

And just feel with me that the feet now feel very heavy as they relax.

They just feel still and quiet,

Tension falls away,

And the breath that we're breathing now moves up into our calves.

And our calves just relax and let go of any stress or tension with every breath we breathe,

Moving up into the knees,

Feeling the knees completely relaxing,

Moving up into our thighs,

Feeling our thighs letting go,

Giving thanks for our legs that carry us throughout our days.

But now with our breath,

Letting go of stress,

Letting go and feeling relaxed,

Feeling the energy just moving now up through the trunk of our body,

Down through every organ,

Moving through every part of our belly and through our lungs and through our spine and all the bones and organs and tissue with every breath up through the major trunk of our body,

Just letting go,

Becoming more relaxed,

Becoming more still.

Our heart beats slower as we become still.

And we imagine the breath just relaxing,

Just being still now,

Allowing us to feel so quiet,

So peaceful and feeling the breath now moving up into our shoulders,

That place where we tend to carry the weight of the world and just feel the weight of the world fall away with a relaxing breath that feeds the ease and grace within the shoulder area.

And feeling this wonderful breath moving down through both of our arms,

Through the muscles,

Through the bones,

Through the veins that are there,

Running down through the arms and the elbows,

We breathe a breath of relaxation there and into the forearms,

Breathing now into our hands,

Our fingers,

So much that we rely upon with our hands.

We're so grateful to be able to touch and to reach out,

But we allow them to relax and become still.

And we feel now,

As we move back into an image of our neck,

We feel a greater sense of relaxation as we breathe this relaxing energy into the neck area,

Feel any stress or tension or anxiety just falling away and then breathing up into our face,

Our ears,

Our head,

Our brain literally relaxing,

The top of our head relaxing completely.

And with this breath now,

It's like we're encased in a wonderful,

Serene bubble of stillness.

And any further tension or stress just lifts off us like steam from a hot pot,

Just lifts away any remaining residual stress or tension.

And we just feel ourselves so relaxed and still.

Poised now to step into meditation,

To easily and gracefully fall into sleep.

We are relaxed.

It is good.

And so it is.
