So today,
Let's explore being okay with whatever's happening in this moment.
Let's begin by settling into a comfortable position,
Allowing yourself to feel grounded wherever you are.
Whether you're sitting or lying down,
Just gently let your eyes close or soften your gaze and start by noticing your breath,
Just observing without trying to change anything.
Noticing how your body feels with each inhale and each exhale.
So often our minds want to label moments as good or bad,
Comfortable or uncomfortable.
But today we're going to explore stepping away from those labels and instead we'll practice letting moments simply be.
So just bring your attention to whatever you're experiencing right now.
Maybe it's the traffic outside or the hum of a fan or maybe it's a sensation in your body,
A slight tension or some relaxation.
Whatever they are,
Just noticing the experiences without any judgment.
They don't need to be different.
They don't need fixing.
They are simply here,
Part of this moment.
And if thoughts arise,
Which they often will do,
Just see if you can gently acknowledge them and then let them drift by like clouds in the sky.
No need to follow them.
There's no need to resist them.
Every thought,
Every feeling,
Every sensation is exactly as it should be in this moment.
If you start to feel any discomfort or restlessness,
Acknowledge it kindly.
Maybe imagine offering it a small smile and say to yourself quietly,
This too belongs.
See if you can notice how your experience changes even just a little bit as you practice acceptance.
Can you feel any ease that comes when you stop resisting?
When you simply allow things to be as they are?
It's okay to feel exactly as you feel right now.
For just a moment,
Bring your attention back to your breath.
Noticing the inhale and the exhale.
Feeling a sense of openness.
Inviting whatever arises into this moment.
Noticing any sounds or sensations around you.
Allowing them to exist without pushing them away or pulling them closer.
Even in meditation,
It's not about being in a controlled environment where everything's quiet.
We can learn to be,
To meditate with whatever's going on around us by just observing.
By just being.
Always coming back to the breath if you find yourself distracted.
Accepting that distractions are a part of meditation or a part of life.
We can be okay with the fact that we got distracted.
And we can gently bring our attention back to the breath.
Now as we bring this practice to a close,
I invite you to consider the wisdom from Eckhart Tolle.
Whatever the present moment contains,
Accept it as if you had chosen it.
And see if you can notice how this shift in perspective softens your relationship with whatever's happening around you and within you.
Because when we stop fighting against reality,
When we stop resisting,
We can't find a profound sense of peace.
So now gently bring your awareness back to your body,
Back to the area around you.
You can wiggle your fingers and toes.
Maybe sway or stretch a little if it feels good.
And slowly begin to open your eyes.
And as you move through the rest of your day,
You can carry with you this gentle permission to let every moment be exactly as it is.
And remember that peace is always just one breath of acceptance away.
May you be happy.
May you be healthy.
And may you be at peace.
Thank you so much for joining me.
