Something new begins,
Something old ends.
Watching a young child take their first steps into a big school yard.
Putting a sold sign on a home.
Packing your bags for your next chapter.
Waves washing in.
Waves washing out.
New blooms opening.
Leaves falling fresh from a tree.
Cycles.
Change.
Nature.
The ebbs and flows.
This is a time to honour new beginnings.
I'm your guide Michelle for this practice of deep rest and closeness with your heart.
Bring comfort into your space now.
Your head and body resting.
Relaxing your jaw.
Shoulders.
Back.
And legs.
Your feet slightly apart.
Arms resting by your side if that feels comfortable for you.
Cosy.
Held.
Supported.
Slowly finding stillness.
There is no rush.
Take your time.
Softening into your body.
The weight underneath completely supporting you.
Notice any sensations in your body,
Your tummy,
Your hands or your feet.
Relax each part a little more.
Feel the air on your face.
Come back to these anchors any time that you become aware you have left the space.
Listening intently to the noises far away.
What can you hear outside of the room?
Moving to the noises closer to you.
The air is coming from the outside.
Moving to the noises closer to you.
What can you hear inside the room?
The sound of your gentle breath.
Breathing in all the way from your feet to your chest.
Inhale 1,

The practice of Yoga Nidra now begins.
For this Nidra of new beginnings we said as Sanghalpa,
A truth vow that begins with I.
This becomes the heart of the practice.
In your stillness listen to what comes up for you now.
The seed is already there,
Ready to grow to the surface.
It could be something like,
I am making space for new things.
I am open.
I am creating change.
Your Sanghalpa is unique to you.
You cannot get it wrong.
Once it has been made known,
Speak it out aloud three times with truth.
Let's begin to water the seeds of our garden,
Bringing awareness to our body.
Imagine creating a dot to dot with your body,
Energy flowing to each point.
Starting with the space of your heart centre.
Connect to your brow centre,
Right temple,
Right cheek,
Right shoulder,
Right side of the chest,
Right upper thigh,
Right ankle.
Feel the whole right side.
Moving over to your left ankle,
Left upper thigh,
Left side of your chest,
Left shoulder,
Left cheek,
Left temple,
The midbrain,
The space between your ears,
Then back into your heart.
Repeat the flow of the lines travelling to all of the points in your body.
Feel a light moving to each of those dots,
Bringing life,
Bringing love,
Bringing peace.
From your heart space,
Connect to your brow centre,
Right temple,
Right cheek,
Right shoulder,
Right side of the chest,
Right upper thigh,
Right ankle.
Moving over to your left ankle,

We will play with pairs of opposites now,
Touching emotions we have experienced to bring familiarity to them with no judgment only curiosity.
Notice any felt sense in the body,
It may be a tingling,
Pulsing,
Vibrations or simply awareness.
Know that all feelings are welcome here.
Can you reflect on a time of something new,
A new job,
A new home,
A new baby,
A new love,
A new start,
All that comes when something feels new.
It can be a mixture of emotions,
Perhaps fear,
Perhaps overwhelm,
Perhaps excitement.
Notice with love which emotion would like to speak with you here and where would it like to take a seat.
Honor it and breathe it out.
And with something new is something old,
Something that has reached the end of its time,
A life well lived,
A job complete.
I thank you for serving its purpose,
Old but cherished,
Old but wise.
What experience stands out for you?
What feeling arises when something becomes old?
Honor it and breathe it out.
Clarity to be clear,
To see clearly.
Think of a time when you felt this to be true.
You could see as clear as a sparkling diamond,
As clear as a pure river running downstream,
The crystal clear water running over your skin,
All is revealed.
Feel this in your body.
Honor it and breathe it out.
Murky confusion,
Unable to see through the thicket,
Uncertainty,
Yet a place to sit and consider.
Peek around the corners,
Imagine and create,
Ideas flowing but not set in stone.
Think of a time when you felt this to be true.
Feel this in your body.
Honor it and breathe it out.
As above is below,
All the things that may be above you,
Sky,
Clouds,
Stars,
Dreams.
Feel this in your body.
Honor it and breathe it out.
All the things that may be below you,
Valleys,
Earth,
Soil,
Solid ground.
Feel this in your body.
Honor it and breathe it out.
Know that you are whole and complete always.
In preparing for new beginnings,
Know that you have the power within you to create.
You are creation.
A number of different things will be named.
Try to imagine them as we go along.
Bring awareness to your third eye or brow center.
Manifest the image.

The seed is awakening.
Allow it to move towards the sun.
The seed is awakening.
Allow it to move towards the sun.
The seed is awakening.
Allow it to move towards the sun.
The seed is awakening.
Allow it to move you you you you Now is the time to repeat your sankalpa that you made at the start of this practice Repeat it three times with awareness and presence Trust that there is a place for all things old and all things new Trust that where there can be clarity there can be murky waters and we go between both of them Trust that the stars above can guide you and that the ground below keeps you sturdy on your feet Call in your ancestors to guide you on your new chapter The practice of yoga nidra is now complete Slowly bring your awareness back to your breath and your space,
Your chest and belly gently moving Move your fingers and toes When you feel ready,
Stretch your arms out to the side,
Then to the sky clasping your hands Allow whatever movement feels natural Allow sounds to move into your space,
Back into your body,
Rolling over to your left side,
Heart space resting towards the Mother Earth When you are ready,
Sit up and slowly open your eyes Let the world slowly drift back in Thank you,
Thank you,
Thank you

Love this nidra. Soothing, gentle voice and soft music in the background. I like the reminders about lifeβs natural endings and new beginnings.

I had a deep rest to this Nidra in my screen porch. Beautiful voice and loved the theme of new beginnings. I wish there were longer at the end with the ancestors supporting the new chapter. That was lovely. Thank you!

Very beautiful in so many ways. Still not quite the one for me. It invokes to much thinking whereas I don't like to think during yoga nidra, but to feel. That's why I also prefer longer and more detailed rotations through the body. But that's very personal. ππ»πͺ·ππ»
