Hi everyone,

My name is Michelle and I'm an Emotional Integration Guide and also a Flower Essence Practitioner and thank you for being here.

Today we're going to move through a practice known as EFT,

Emotional Freedom Techniques,

Or tapping,

To help process and release some of the emotions that can surface after an intense event like an election.

This might be something that's impacting you personally,

Stirring up feelings of shock,

Grief,

Anger,

Or fear,

Or even things like frustration and confusion.

All of this is valid and all of this is welcome in this practice.

EFT is here to help you navigate those feelings in a way that honors where you're at.

EFT works by tapping on specific meridian points on the body while acknowledging and expressing emotions as they arise.

By doing this,

We're able to reduce the intensity of these emotions,

Helping to move energy and find more space for grounding,

Calm,

And maybe even some clarity as we move forward.

Whether you're feeling overwhelmed,

Angry,

Or just heavy,

EFT is designed to support you as you find your way back to a state of emotional balance.

Now if you're new to EFT,

I'll be guiding you through each tapping point.

We'll start at the side of the hand and move to the eyebrow,

Side of the eye,

Under the nose,

Under the chin,

Your collarbone,

Under your arm,

And finally back to the top of the head.

And I'll be saying phrases out loud as we go and I encourage you to repeat these phrases after me or adapt them to whatever feels most fitting for you.

So let's begin with a deep breath.

Breathe in and out.

And take a moment to tune in with your level of intensity around the election,

The results.

On a scale of zero to ten,

Zero being you are completely fine,

And ten being you are completely not fine.

Rate yourself on your level of intensity.

Great job.

So let's begin gently tapping on the side of the hand,

Setting an intention to let this be a supportive and compassionate practice for you.

Give yourself room to feel and to release.

Take a deep breath and repeat after me either aloud or in your mind.

We'll start with the negative or the truth of how you're feeling in order to acknowledge it and let it go.

So gently tapping on the side of the hand,

Even though I'm feeling so much and maybe even feeling disconnected or overwhelmed.

I'm open to accepting myself and all these emotions.

Even though I feel the shock,

This fear,

This grief,

I acknowledge what I'm going through and honor it.

And one more time.

I acknowledge what I'm going through and honor it.

And one more time.

Even though I'm struggling with anger or disappointment,

I choose to be gentle with myself through this process.

Now moving to the eyebrow,

The shock in my system.

This deep unsettling feeling.

It feels like so much to hold right now.

Moving to the side of the eye,

All these emotions swirling around.

I'm really not sure what to do with them.

The grief,

The fear,

The frustration.

And moving to under the eye.

I feel the weight of this in my body.

This heaviness,

This confusion.

I feel the weight of this in my body.

It feels really hard to carry it all.

Moving to under the nose.

I'm open to allowing myself to feel what's here,

Even though I may want to push it away.

I honor the reality of these feelings.

Under your chin,

This grief,

The sadness,

This frustration.

It's really OK to feel these things.

I'm allowing myself to process and to move through them.

Moving to the collarbone.

I'm giving myself permission to let these feelings be what they are and to not rush the process.

I'm letting myself breathe through them.

Moving to under the arm.

This fear,

This confusion.

This fear,

This anger.

It feels so vague sometimes.

But I know it won't last forever.

Top of the head.

I'm choosing to feel and release,

Allowing these emotions to shift.

I'm allowing myself to be heard,

To be honored.

Keep tapping and take a deep breath in and out through the mouth.

Let it clear.

Tapping back on the eyebrow.

It's OK if this is messy.

It's OK if these feelings don't make sense right now.

I'm letting myself feel them all.

Step by step.

Tap by tap.

Side of the eye.

It's safe to let go.

Some of this tension.

It's safe to release some of this burden.

I don't have to carry it all.

Under the eye.

Even if it feels hard to let go.

I'm gently opening up bit by bit.

I'm creating a little more space for peace.

Under the nose.

I'm acknowledging my strength to move through this experience.

To take it one breath at a time.

Tapping on the chin.

This grief.

This anger.

I'm choosing to move through it with grace.

As much as I can.

And I'm choosing to be patient with myself.

Moving to the collarbone.

I'm safe here in this moment.

And I can release some of this weight.

I am allowed to feel lighter.

Under the arm.

I'm open to releasing with each tap.

These layers of tension.

And fear.

I'm open to making room for something new.

Top of the head.

I'm starting to find a little peace within myself.

I'm open to reclaiming my power.

My clarity.

My grounding.

It's okay to let go of what I no longer need.

Tapping on the eyebrow.

I'm honoring my emotions.

Knowing they are valid and real.

And I trust myself to process all of them.

Moving to the side of the eye.

I'm resilient.

I'm strong.

And I'm capable.

Open to feeling.

Open to healing.

Open to healing.

Open to releasing.

Open to restoring.

Tapping under the eye.

I'm open to releasing the heaviness bit by bit.

The shock.

The fear.

The anger.

I'm choosing peace in this moment and beyond.

Under the nose.

Breathing in calm.

Releasing the rest.

Making space for clarity.

Making space for peace.

Letting my heart feel safe again.

Tapping on the chin.

I'm grateful for this moment of release.

I'm grateful for honoring myself and my body.

I'm grateful for this moment of healing.

I'm grateful for my needs.

I'm grateful for coming back to my center.

Tapping on the collarbone.

More grounded.

More safe.

Feeling more whole.

Letting go of what no longer serves me.

Tapping under the arm.

Coming back to myself.

Coming back to my resilience.

Coming back to my peace.

Choosing love.

Choosing love.

Choosing calm.

Tapping on the top of the head.

Thank you for this moment.

Thank you for this breath.

Thank you for this practice.

Thank you for this moment.

Thank you for the courage to feel.

Thank you for the power to release.

I am here.

In peace.

In my own strength.

And you can gently stop tapping.

And take a moment to notice how you feel now.

Take a deep breath in.

And recall the number you gave yourself on your intensity scale.

And what is that number now?

Noticing noticing if your number has decreased and by how much.

You may have felt a shift or maybe some calm settling in.

Remember this practice is always here to help you come back to yourself.

It's natural to feel big emotions especially after events that shake us or throw us into the unknown.

But just as natural to release them one step at a time.

Thank you for showing up for yourself today.

This process is here whenever you need it.

Take care.

Give yourself some time to integrate this as you go through your day.

I'm wishing you a peaceful rest of your day.

And I will see you soon.

Thank you! Timely, appropriate, soothing, confidence inspiring, calming. All things I need right now. During the meditation I moved from heartbroken and hopeless, to being able to consider releasing and adapting and growing. At this moment I can think about the event without feeling the sharp pain and anger. I will do this meditation daily for a while so I can find happiness again. Thank you for helping me. I am very grateful. 🙏
