So you're invited to go ahead and come into a comfortable position to sit in.
Just letting it feel both relaxed in way and also upright.
So kind of finding that middle ground between the two,
A place that feels sustainable.
And then if you're able to,
Just letting the eyes close.
And if you're not closing the eyes,
Then just letting the gaze soften slightly.
Relaxing the sockets of the eyes.
And just taking this first few moments to really just take stock of what is present for you here on our seventh day of cleansing together.
Making any small micro adjustments to the physical body that allow you to be even more comfortable.
They create greater ease for the breath to move,
For the body to sink into a deeper stillness.
And then as we arrive at a place of stillness,
Just feel what it is like to really drop into that sense of stillness.
And let yourself really feel a sense of rootedness,
A deep connection between the physical body and the earth.
Feeling whatever parts of the body are in contact with the surface and really letting them fully rest into that surface.
Feeling yourself totally and completely held in this moment.
And notice if there's anywhere else that you can relax a little bit more deeply into this stillness,
Maybe loosening the jaw,
Softening the shoulders.
Arriving deeper and deeper into this place of stillness.
And from this place of grounded stillness,
I now invite you to bring one,
Maybe both hands,
To the heart.
And you might move the hand around slightly until you find a place where you can best feel and perceive your heartbeat.
And as you start to come into relationship with this rhythmic force within yourself,
You might just notice what amount of pressure feels appropriate to really best feel and receive this rhythm.
So you can play around with a little bit of rhythm.
A little more,
A little less.
And then just coming to the place that feels intuitively like the way that you wish to receive this signal.
Taking time to really connect with this steady rhythm that is always within.
We can easily go about days or months or years without really connecting into this rhythm,
And yet it's so easy and accessible to feel it,
To remember it.
And as we feel this steady beat,
We feel this force that governs our prana,
The circulation of our life force energy.
And we remember it is always with us,
Always pulsing through us.
And we all know and have experienced those times when,
Because of fear,
Anxiety,
Other emotions,
We feel changes in our heartbeat.
And as we sit here this morning,
Just rooted into this remembrance of this rhythmic force,
We remember what we've always known,
That this heartbeat is actually one of our most primal,
Original forms of data.
There's no devices,
Wearables,
Anything else that we need to be able to come into a knowing of the quality and state of our nervous system.
Nothing that can more powerfully remind us of our aliveness.
Feeling this beat is both a subtle and yet very powerful force that resides within.
And as we continue to feel into this rhythm,
Receive the nourishment that it provides,
Just feeling this steady beat,
And we remember that each of our lives is a series of heartbeats that occur between our first heartbeat and our last heartbeat.
Knowing that our heartbeat is our first animating movement,
And that someday we will experience the last movement.
And until then,
Our heartbeat invites us to live fully,
To remember the desires that each of us carry within our hearts,
And to hopefully,
Day by day,
Orient more towards the direction of those desires,
And to structure our lives in ways that allow us to nourish and feed those desires,
To make them possible.
Just continuing to sit here in relationship with the heart and its rhythm,
Just feeling this constant reminder of each of our aliveness.
The heartbeat,
Like our breath,
Is a really powerful tool,
And yet there's something unique about the heartbeat,
Because whereas breath is air that's coming in and out and can at times feel a bit external to us,
Our heartbeat is uniquely our own.
With each heartbeat,
We can remember we are connected to the five elements that form the basis of everything in this universe and on this planet.
And we can feel our heartbeat as a connective force that connects us with all living beings,
Those that also share a heartbeat,
As well as plants that have prana pulsing through them in their unique rhythms,
Their ways,
And microbes and soil and other things that are very much alive that have prana coursing through them,
That have the force of life supporting them.
Just continue to sit,
Feeling this pulse of life and intelligence moving through you.
And as we continue to sit here,
Feeling our heartbeat,
Let it be a reminder of a larger cosmological intelligence that exists beyond our human bodies.
Whether we attach a name to it or simply just feel it as a force of nature,
The universe,
Just feeling ourself in deep relationship with it,
Coexisting and co-creating this life experience.
With each heartbeat,
We have a beautiful invitation to move more into the center of our heart to align with our heart and our intuition.
To move out of the mind.
So let this heartbeat just be a reminder that anytime the mind is spinning out a bit,
Feeling overwhelmed,
Overloaded with data,
We have this simple tool always with us just to bring us back.
And within this heart space,
We have the ability to find and cultivate courage,
To face the uncertainties of the future,
The fear of the unknown,
And the deep acceptance of the realities of change and impermanence that govern everything in the universe,
Whether it's alive or not alive,
It all will change.
Our heart gives us the courage to face all of these realities,
To move through them,
To trust.
And now taking just a few moments for your own reflection as you sit here in relationship with the space of your heart and just asking your heart,
What do you wish me to know?
Heart,
What do you wish me to know?
And just allow yourself to receive whatever is offered,
Whether it's clear messages,
Words,
Images,
Colors,
Other sensations,
Just receiving this heartfelt offering.
And if you like,
You might wish to keep the hands on the heart,
Or you might like to join the palms together in the center.
The chest.
Continuing to feel that heartbeat,
You can bring the thumbs right onto the sternum to the heart center,
Continuing to feel that pulsation.
Feeling gratitude to the heart for all the wisdom that it provides,
All the strength.
Taking a moment to connect with any of your personal intentions for how you might wish to stay in relationship with the heart and its messages,
Or any other intentions or prayers that you carry with you for today.
And as you feel complete,
Lower the hands,
Open the eyes,
And come back into your space.
