Hello my friend,
This is Melissa at the watershed farm.
To make it easier for you to revisit this meditation,
I've added all of the information about it in the description and I encourage you to read that.
Let's begin.
When I ring my chime,
I invite you to follow the sound into the silence.
And as you do,
Gently close your eyes and follow your breath into your body.
Gently notice how far you can follow your breath into your body.
Does it seem to dissolve and fade away in your throat?
Are you able to follow it all the way into your lungs?
Perhaps you're able to draw your breath all the way down and into your seat and root chakra.
Gently notice how far you can follow your breath into your body.
With your next inhale,
Fill your breath further down into your body.
Imagine your breath swirling down into your chest,
Filling and inflating your lungs,
Circling your heart space,
Settling into your belly before being gently exhaled through your mouth.
With your next inhale,
Follow your breath down into your seat where your root chakra sits.
Imagine your breath moving directly into this space,
Providing energy and movement to awaken this part of your body.
Once again,
Inhale deeply,
Following your breath down into your seat.
And on the exhale,
Imagine a root attaching you,
Sturdy and strong,
Through the floor and into the earth beneath you as it descends from your seat into the center of the earth.
Deeply inhale into your root chakra.
On the exhale,
Bring all of your awareness to this strong,
Stable connection that you have.
Deeply inhale into your root chakra.
And on the exhale,
Speak aloud,
I am safe.
Repeat this cycle on your own for a few more breaths.
If you feel you need more time here before calling forward your inner critic,
Or at any time during this meditation,
You can pause and take as much time as you need to feel safe in your body and in your space.
Inhale into your root chakra.
On the exhale,
Speak aloud,
I am safe.
I now want you to call forward your inner critic.
You can do this by bringing to mind some of the phrases you've heard your inner critic speak to you.
As you do,
Notice where in your body this energy lives.
You may feel a tightening or heaviness here.
Notice on the sensations you notice your inner critic brings to your body.
I now want you to imagine what this energy might look like if it were sitting across from you.
Imagine this energy leaving your body and taking form in front of you.
It may appear as human or it may be more abstract.
What shape does it take?
What color is it?
What does it sound like?
What features does it have?
Knowing and trusting you are safe in this moment and with a great sense of curiosity and wonder,
Ask your inner critic,
What do you believe?
What do you believe?
What do you believe?
What do you believe?
What do you believe?
What do you believe?
With a great sense of curiosity and wonder,
Ask your inner critic,
What do you care about?
What do you care about?
What do you care about?
What do you care about?
What do you care about?
With a great sense of curiosity and wonder,
Ask your inner critic,
What do you think of my inner mentor?
What do you think of my mentor?
What do you think of my mentor?
What do you think of my mentor?
What do you think of my mentor?
What do you think of my mentor?
With a great sense of curiosity and wonder,
Ask your inner critic,
What are you afraid of?
What do you think of my mentor?
What do you think of my mentor?
What do you think of my mentor?
What do you think of my mentor?
What do you think of my mentor?
With a great sense of curiosity and wonder,
Ask your inner critic,
What do you need?
What do you need?
What do you need?
What do you need?
What do you need?
Now,
Extend gratitude toward your inner critic for sharing these responses with you.
Tell them their time is up,
And watch as this energy dissipates into the air,
Floating up and dissolving until it is completely gone.
I now want you to call forward your inner mentor.
You can do this by bringing to mind some of the phrases that you've heard your inner mentor use to cheer you on.
If this is the first time you're meeting your inner mentor,
Bring to mind a phrase you would most want this energy to convey to you.
Your inner mentor may have a simple message for you,
Such as,
You are worthy,
Or they may wish to advise you on a current challenge.
As you hear your inner mentor come forward,
Notice where in your body this energy lives.
You may feel an expansion or lightness here.
Focus on the sensations you notice your inner mentor brings to your body.
I now want you to imagine what this energy might look like if it were sitting across from you.
It may appear as human,
Or it may be abstract.
What shape does it take?
What color is it?
What does it sound like?
What features does it have?
Again with a great sense of curiosity and wonder,
Ask your inner mentor,
What do you believe?
You becomeод You You With a great sense of curiosity and wonder ask your inner mentor.
What do you care about?
What do you care about?
You You You With a great sense of curiosity and wonder ask your inner mentor What do you think of my inner critic?

You You You You You Invite them to stay with you throughout your day as you once again focus on where in your body this energy of your inner mentor lives.
This energy resides in your cells,
In your body,
Deep within the very bones of you.
It is available to you at any time.
Bring your awareness now throughout your entire body.
Notice the sensations of your seat on the chair or floor beneath you,
The way your feet rest on the ground.
Notice the temperature of the air on your skin.
And when you are ready,
Slowly open your eyes.
Thank you for being.
