Hi beautiful energy school humans.
I'm sending out this recording for one of the tools that will be the foundation of our practices,
Which is the grounding cord.
So just as a refresher,
We use the grounding cord to get grounded by connecting your being to the energy of the earth.
This can help you release any energy that is not yours down that grounding cord and into the earth.
You can release stuck energy,
Allowing more flow in your body and your energy centers.
And it helps us feel rooted,
Stable,
Secure,
And really connected to ourselves and Mother Earth.
Connecting to that always here source of nourishment for us.
So let's go ahead,
Let's close our eyes,
Getting comfortable.
As you learn these tools,
I recommend sitting up in a chair with your feet on the ground.
If you can be in nature with bare feet,
Even better,
But you can do it on a plane.
It's energy,
So really anywhere is possible.
And as you learn,
As you really make these your own,
You can lay down,
You can sit cross-legged,
But it can really help with the awareness and the observation of feeling the energy when you're seated and your soles of your feet are touching the ground.
But as always,
In everything I share,
Listen to your knowing,
Listen to what feels right for you.
So take a few breaths.
Make these recordings pretty short,
That way they're easy to come back to.
And you can always really lengthen the practice,
Maybe setting a timer on your phone.
And what may be short on this recording,
You can make,
You know,
30 minutes,
45 minutes,
Even longer and really drop in.
And as we begin,
Just noticing what you're experiencing,
What your mind is like right now,
What your body is feeling.
Maybe noticing how your energy is.
Really being with whatever is alive in you.
Letting it all be here,
Letting it all belong.
And as you take some deep breaths,
Softening your belly and letting your belly expand with your in-breath,
Letting that breath move up your ribcage and your heart space and up and down your shoulders.
Taking a few cycles of breath.
Breathing in,
Maybe you pause and hold at the top.
Breathing out,
Maybe pausing and holding at the bottom.
Any breathing practice that helps you be more present and aware.
And then bringing your attention to the base of your spine,
Right at your hips.
And taking a few breaths into the space.
You might feel into the chair you're sitting on.
You might notice with your breath and with your awareness that you feel more of a heaviness in your body.
And then I want you to create a grounding cord and let it attach right at the base of your spine,
Right at your hips and ground deeper and deeper into the earth.
And you can ground with a tree trunk.
It's my go-to.
I love the tree trunk.
Maybe picking your favorite tree.
I mentioned in our first class that mine is a willow tree.
I just love them.
But you can also do this with literally anything.
So you can ground with a sunflower,
You can ground with a tube of energy,
You can ground with a waterfall or fire or an anchor.
So you can get as creative as you want.
But the key is to notice if your mind is perhaps overcomplicating it.
So full permission to honor whatever comes through,
But come to that energy of ease,
Come to the energy of simplicity and a lack of effort.
And you might see this grounding cord with your mind's eye,
Tuning into your sixth chakra.
Or you might simply feel the sensations of this connect to your body or set the intention.
At first in a grounding practice,
We might feel absolutely nothing.
And there's some limiting beliefs we might have to work through of like,
This isn't real,
This isn't doing anything.
And so just noticing those layers and coming back to your breath and your beautiful,
Powerful intention.
And then letting this connect right at the base of your spine,
Grounding all the way into the earth.
Sometimes I noticed,
When we first begin this process,
We give ourselves really dinky grounding cords.
So if it's a tree trunk,
It might be like a little twig.
So just notice and really let it be bigger than your body.
Take up space with your grounding.
And then noticing what you experience,
You might feel energy moving.
Sometimes as we ground,
We do feel discomfort or pain or you know,
Maybe unpleasant sensations because we are releasing and we are becoming aware of what we are releasing.
So if you can stay with it,
If you can breathe into it,
You will move that will transform.
And in all of these practices I offer,
Feel free to move your body,
You don't have to be a still somber robot,
You can if that's an alignment for you.
But if you're needing to move,
If you want to shake,
You know,
Anything like that,
Tune into that knowing and honor it always.
And then bringing your attention down to the soles of your feet and let the soles of your feet grow roots as well,
Letting those feet chakras connect deeply into the earth.
You might feel a pulsating,
You might feel a flow,
Warmth,
Cold,
Any different sensations,
Anything that you become aware of,
Notice,
Celebrate.
If your mind tries to take you on a journey away from this moment,
That's okay.
Noticing that as well and then keep coming back to your breath,
Keep coming back to the sensations in your body.
Now that you're rooted deeply into the earth,
Taking a moment to release any energy that is not yours,
Any emotions that are not yours,
And keep coming back to your breath,
Softening your belly,
Letting that inhale expand your breath,
Coming up your ribcage,
In your heart space,
Down your shoulders.
And you can stay here as long as you'd like,
Or if you're ready you can slowly make your way back,
Maybe wiggling in your toes,
Maybe rolling your shoulders,
And then as you're ready opening your eyes.
Thank you all and I will see you soon.
