Hello,

Welcome,

Thank you for joining me for this winter solstice reflection.

Find a comfortable seat or lie down if you wish.

Can you center your attention by observing the movement of your breath?

Inhale through your nose,

Feeling the cool air moving in,

Filling the lungs.

See if you can stay grounded and connected as you exhale,

And feel the breath moving up and back out through the nose.

Watch the ebb and flow of the breath as it just flows in and out of your body,

Slow deep breaths in and out of the nose.

Now see if you can make each inhale a little deeper and a little longer.

Can you pause between the breaths,

Noticing any emotions that come up in the stillness and the space between.

This breath is keeping us alive.

Both the inhalation and the exhalation are needed to sustain our life.

With each inhale,

Our body receives the oxygen needed,

And the clearing release of the exhale is necessary to create space for the next breath to enter.

The winter solstice cycle calls for reflection,

Rest,

And renewal.

It's also an opportunity to let go of what is no longer serving us.

Continue to observe and feel the breath.

Feel its fullness.

Feel the emptiness.

And notice the emotions in the space in the in-between.

Consider the health of your body and ask yourself this question,

What habits can I let go of that will help my body to be healthier?

See if you can sense the answer within your own body.

What habits can I let go of that will help my body be healthier?

Bring a hand to your heart and begin to connect with this space.

The heart is where you host your capacity to love and relate to others.

Allow yourself to think about the relationships that you have in your life.

Relationships with others.

The relationship you have with yourself.

Do you have relationships that are attracting stress and negativity in your life?

Ask yourself,

What relationships can I let go of in order to make space for more loving relationships?

What boundaries can I set to feel more emotionally spacious in my heart?

Many of us are familiar with self-criticism,

Negativity,

And some belief system that limits us.

Once you're open to changing your beliefs,

You have more potential to create happiness in your life.

Ask yourself,

What habits or beliefs can I let go of in order to experience more clarity and joy in my life?

Bringing your attention and focus back to the ebb and the flow of your breath.

Finding stillness in the reflection.

Slow,

Gentle,

Deep breaths in and out of the nose.

Feeling the fullness of the inhale and the emptiness of the exhale.

And notice the emotions in the space in between.

Notice if something inside of you has shifted,

Or if you are still holding on.

Without the presence of judgment,

Just simply noticing what you notice.

Gently blink your eyes open if they were closed.

Observe what you see around you.

May you give yourself permission to rest and recover this season.

And may this winter solstice bring you an abundance of blessings.

Thank you for taking the time,

Showing up,

And meditating with me today.
