Welcome to the chakra meditation.
The goal of this meditation is to help you become deeply relaxed while individually concentrating on each chakra.
We will be starting at the root and work all the way up to the crown.
During this meditation,
Which will last roughly 18 minutes,
There will be a moment of silence after each chakra to allow you time to absorb everything that's happening during the meditation.
The silence is actually where all the good stuff happens in your brain.
So I hope you enjoy it.
As always,
We start out each meditation with three long slow deep breaths in through your nose,
Out through your nose and hold the exhale for the count of three.
This tricks your brain into feeling that you're safe.
So even if you are in a situation where you're feeling anxiety or stress,
You can always do that breathing technique.
Nobody will know you're doing it and you can help calm your brain.
So let's begin.
Make yourself as comfortable as you possibly can.
Float your eyes closed if that feels safe and notice how your body feels right in this given moment.
Don't try to change anything.
Simply notice how your body and mind feel.
Now let's begin with our breath.
So breathe in through your nose,
Out through your nose and hold for the count of three.
In through your nose,
Out through your nose and hold for the count of three.
In through your nose,
Out through your nose and hold for the count of three.
Now just let your breathing return to its normal pace.
It may slow down or speed up and that's okay.
Just let it do what it needs to do.
Your body is just regulating itself.
Start to feel your body begin to relax.
Let your shoulders move away from your ears.
Your jaw unclenches and your tongue falls from the roof of your mouth.
Notice your breathing.
Don't change anything.
But how does it feel having the breath come in and then the breath go out?
Allowing your whole body to begin to relax and your mind begins to focus on the calming colors of the chakra.
Create a picture in your mind of the color red.
Imagine all different shades of red.
Maybe you picture the amazing red rocks of Arizona or Colorado.
Maybe it's a rose,
An apple,
A brick,
Or the sunset.
Whatever shade of red you pick,
Enjoy that color right now.
Slowly allow red to turn into orange.
Let your mind's eye be filled with infinite shades of orange.
Maybe it's a bright lily,
A pumpkin,
An orange you just picked off of a tree,
A carrot.
Fill your entire visual field of your mind's eye with the color orange.
And now enjoy orange.
Let your mind's eyes be filled with infinite shades of orange.
Let your mind's eyes be filled with infinite shades of orange.
Allow orange to slowly fade into yellow.
Use your imagination to see all the different shades of yellow.
Lemons,
Fall leaves,
The center of a daisy.
Imagine endless tones and shades of yellow.
Imagine yourself being completely surrounded with the calming color of yellow.
Immerse yourself in yellow.
Imagine yourself in yellow.
Allow yellow.
Allow yellow to begin to fade into green.
Let your imagination see endless shades of green.
Maybe it's green plants,
Leaves,
Grass.
Imagine being completely surrounded by green.
All the different shades from light to dark.
Now enjoy green.
Let your mind's eyes be filled with infinite shades of yellow.
Allow green to fade into blue.
Surround yourself with the beautiful color of blue.
Unending shades of blue.
Do you visualize the water?
The sky?
Maybe it's flowers,
Blueberries.
Allow yourself to be drawn into the calming beautiful color of blue.
And enjoy blue.
Now allow blue.
Now allow blue to suddenly become violet.
Focus on the multiple different tones of purple and violet.
Maybe it's a flower,
An eggplant.
Maybe it's an actual violet.
Maybe it's the most amazing sunrise you've ever seen.
Whatever it is your mind's eye is seeing,
Enjoy the shade of violet.
I'll do as any flower that he has before you.
You never see what you're getting.
Allow violet to suddenly turn into white.
The brightest white you've ever seen.
Maybe it's a snowflake.
Crisp cotton.
A fluffy cloud.
Whatever it is,
Immerse yourself in the color white and enjoy.
For the next minute,
Picture whatever calming color you wish.
Is there one that's your favorite?
Is there a color that suits your mood right now?
Imagine whatever color you'd like from the chakras we've just done and allow your mind to be relaxed,
Focused and calm.
Enjoy the feeling of relaxation you get from this color.
I'll keep track of the time.
Keeping your eyes closed,
Bring your attention back to the space of your room.
You can start to bring awareness to your body by maybe wiggling your fingers and toes,
Rolling your neck around.
You start to become more alert with each breath you take.
If you're comfortable,
Bring your hands to heart center.
Pay attention to your thoughts.
If you wouldn't say it to your best friend,
Don't say it to yourself.
Your words.
We can talk ourselves in or out of a bad day.
Please choose love over fear.
Everything really comes down to just those two emotions in your heart.
Oh my gosh,
It is such a powerful,
Powerful muscle,
But it can be broken with one single word and healed with a smile.
Smile at as many people you can every day.
Make eye contact with strangers.
We have all felt invisible at times.
Be the reason someone goes home today knowing that they were seen and that somebody smiled at them for no reason.
You will get just as much benefit out of it as the person receiving the smile.
When you're comfortable,
Feel free to open your eyes.
And thank you so much.
I hope you enjoyed this meditation and go peacefully out in the world and make a difference.
Thank you.
