Sometimes it is hard to imagine how to get from where you are to where you want to be. Today, take a journey and meet your Future Self who has already accomplished the health goals that you are facing. That Future Self has a gift for you, has words of encouragement for you. If it's comfortable,

Close your eyes.

If you'd rather keep your eyes open and just find something to keep a soft focus on,

That is perfectly fine.

And so let's just start by taking a long deep breath.

And as you exhale,

Sighing it out,

Letting go of the day,

Letting go of all the things that have transpired.

Taking another deep breath in.

As you exhale,

Letting go of everything that's to come after this moment.

Just allowing yourself to settle into the now,

Into this moment.

Feeling the weight of your body and the support beneath you.

Feeling the support beneath you rising up effortlessly to hold your body.

Feeling a golden rose colored light now just showering down upon you and all around you.

Just imagining the soft,

Warm,

Healing light soothing and comforting everything it touches.

Just allowing the body to slow down,

Allowing the breath to deepen.

There's no forcing.

Just letting it happen in its own natural time.

As you turn your attention inward,

Thinking about what is health?

What does it mean for me to restore myself?

To peel back those old ideas,

Those old behaviors,

Those old beliefs?

Letting old concepts fall to the side.

To restore and reveal the real you.

To revive the real you.

You could imagine a lamp that is very,

Very dim that has many,

Many,

Many light shades upon it.

Every time you take one of those shades off,

It just gets a little brighter.

The light not as dim.

You could imagine that these old beliefs,

These old ideas,

Are those lampshades just dimming the light,

Obscuring the essence of your being.

I want you to imagine now that you're walking down a path in nature,

A beautiful path.

Just that perfect time of year,

That perfect temperature for you.

Surrounded by nature in its fullest glory.

Hearing the sounds.

Maybe you hear animals or water rushing.

Maybe you hear the wind through the trees.

As you walk down this path,

You can just feel your body relaxing,

Just slowing down.

The busyness of the day,

Of the week,

Of the month,

Of the year,

Of the lifetime.

Just letting go.

Up ahead on this path,

You'll see a figure,

A vibrant,

Bright figure.

Your future self.

That part of you that found their way through all the challenges.

That part of you that aligned to health,

To actions,

To feelings,

To beliefs,

To behaviors.

That restored health.

As you walk towards this figure,

That figure walks towards you.

They have words.

They have encouragement.

They have the answers to all the challenges that your today self lies in front of.

Those challenges,

Those uphill mountains of how am I going to do that?

How do we get from here to there?

Your future self holds the answers.

Your future self calmly smiles,

Eyes sparkling,

Body strong,

Heart so peaceful.

Self-esteem restored.

Feeling so confident now.

This future self.

Having achieved what they've achieved.

Having accomplished what they've accomplished.

And they have a gift.

They hand you something and I want you to imagine now putting out your hands and receiving that gift,

A token,

A symbol of what's to come,

Of the health that's right here within you waiting to be restored,

Revealed,

Revived.

Your future self whispers into your ear.

Just one thing.

One thing that you can do in this next week to bring yourself a little closer,

A little more aligned with this future self.

These habits,

These beliefs,

These feelings.

This new way of being.

This new life.

Listen.

Listen to what your future self has to say.

Notice any sensations in your body as you take in this wisdom,

Take in these words,

Take in this truth.

Notice if your heart is opening and swelling.

Notice if there is just a sense of relief that you have a companion along the journey.

There is a light at the end of the tunnel beyond what you could have ever imagined.

There's a way forward.

There's a way through.

And aligning with your future self right here,

Right now,

Today is your first step to becoming who you've already become in the future now.

So taking another long deep breath in now.

And as you exhale,

Sending gratitude to that future self that you've aligned with,

Allowing yourself to feel a little bit of excitement for what's to come,

A little bit of excitement of being one step closer to that new life right here,

Right now,

Today.

And when you're ready,

You can gently open your eyes and come back into the room.

This is wonderful! I especially love the idea of the lamp with may shades, taking them off and how it represents unsupportive beliefs. The whole meditation was just beautiful though, thank you, thank you, thank you!
