Welcome to the 5 element healing sounds meditation.

In this meditation,

We'll be connecting with the sounds and colors of the 5 elements from traditional Chinese medicine,

Wood,

Fire,

Earth,

Metal and water,

In order to clear and nourish our internal organs and find a state of balance.

Come to a comfortable position lying on your back.

It may be helpful to place the soles of your feet on the ground with your knees bent.

Place your hands gently on your belly,

Feeling the rise and fall of your breath in and out.

Take a moment to settle in here,

Make any adjustments that you need to be as comfortable as possible,

And come slowly to rest.

With your next exhalation,

Release completely into the earth,

Trusting the earth to support you fully.

With each exhale,

Invite the body to release even deeper,

To settle,

To let go.

Bring your awareness now to the back body,

Connecting with the earth,

And to the area of the kidneys at the base of the ribcage.

Breathe a smile into your kidneys,

And exhale as though slowly blowing out a candle,

A smile into the space of your kidneys,

And breathing out with the sound.

As you continue to breathe in this way,

Imagine breathing in a deep blue light that washes over and through the kidneys.

Breathing out,

Shift your awareness into the lower abdomen,

Into the space of the bladder and the reproductive organs.

Breathing a smile into these organs,

And continuing to exhale as though slowly blowing out a candle,

Imagine breathing a rich purple light into the bladder and reproductive organs,

Exhaling,

Breathing in a smile,

A rich purple light,

And exhaling with.

Bring your awareness now into the organ of the heart,

Breathing a smile into the heart,

And exhaling with the sound H-A,

Breathing in gratitude,

And exhaling.

As you continue to breathe in this way,

Imagine breathing in a bright red light that washes over and through the heart.

Breathing out,

A bright red color into the heart,

Exhaling.

Allow your attention to shift now to the small intestine within your abdomen,

Continuing to breathe in a bright red color,

Exhaling with H-A,

Breathing a smile and joy into the small intestine,

Exhaling H-A.

Shift your awareness now into your large intestine,

Breathing a smile into the large intestine,

And exhaling with the sound S-S,

Like the sound of a snake.

Imagine breathing in a clear white light that washes over and through the large intestine,

Exhaling with S-S,

Breathing in a smile and a clear white light,

Exhaling with S-S.

Let your awareness travel now to the lungs,

As you continue to breathe in a white light and exhale with S-S,

Breathing a smile into the lungs,

Exhaling S-S.

Bring your awareness now to the stomach and the spleen at the base of your lower left ribcage,

Breathe a smile into the stomach and spleen,

And exhale with the sound V,

As in I am valuable as I am.

Imagine breathing a golden yellow light into the stomach and spleen,

Breathing a smile and this golden yellow light,

Breathing out liver and gallbladder at the base of your lower right ribcage,

Breathe a smile into the liver and gallbladder,

Exhaling with S-H.

Imagine breathing a clear green light into the liver and gallbladder,

Exhaling clear green light into these organs,

Breathing out S-H.

Allowing your breath to return to normal,

Notice your body lying on the floor,

Feel the connection with the earth beneath you,

Notice the contact points of the back body and the earth,

Bringing awareness now to the fingertips and the toes,

Wiggle the fingers and toes,

Allowing the movements to become a little bit bigger,

And then gently shake out the hands and the feet.

Stretch the arms alongside the body and give yourself a wonderful wake up stretch.

When you're ready,

Gently open your eyes.

Your meditation is now complete.
