This meditation draws from the principles of chi nei tsang, or abdominal massage in Traditional Chinese Medicine. Through gentle breathing and visualization, you’ll clear and harmonize emotions held within the internal organs. Allow the breath and your imagination to guide you into a deep state of relaxation and inner balance. Image by Delyth Williams from Pixabay. Music composed by Narek Mirzaei (Music of Wisdom).

Welcome to Emotional Harmony for the Organs Meditation.

This practice is an element of qi nei sang,

Or abdominal massage,

In traditional Chinese medicine.

Focusing on breathing and visualization,

We will begin to clear and harmonize emotions related to specific internal organs.

Find a comfortable position,

Either seated or lying down,

And perhaps rest a hand on your belly,

Physically connecting with the navel,

Which is surrounded by points that are energetically connected to the internal organs.

Bring your awareness to the parts of your body that are supported by the ground,

The chair,

Or the bed where you now find yourself.

Take a nice,

Deep breath in through the nose and sigh out the mouth,

Allowing yourself to be held by the earth as you relax and release.

Feel the expansion and contraction of the body underneath your hand,

And let your belly soften,

Your hand soften.

Soften the skin of your forehead.

Soften your jaw.

Let your shoulders melt down.

Let the sternum release.

Allow the pelvis to relax,

And the ankles to go slack.

With your next inhalation,

Bring to mind a deep blue light washing over your body,

Clear on the inhale,

And cloudy on the exhale as you release old air,

Stagnant energy.

As this deep blue light washes over and through you,

Breathe a smile into your kidneys.

On your next inhalation,

Breathe in the qualities of calmness and gentleness,

And as you exhale,

Let go of any fear that you may be carrying.

Inhale calmness,

Gentleness.

Exhale and release fear.

With your next inhalation,

Bring to mind a healing red light washing over your body,

Clear on the inhale,

And cloudy on the exhale as you release old air,

Stagnant energy.

As this red color washes over and through you,

Breathe a smile into your heart and into your small intestine.

On your next inhalation,

Breathe in appreciation,

Joy,

And laughter.

And as you exhale,

Let go of any anxiety or impatience.

Inhale appreciation,

Joy,

Laughter.

Exhale and release anxiety,

Impatience.

With your next inhalation,

Bring to mind a rich purple light washing over the body,

Clear on the inhale,

And cloudy on the exhale as you release old air,

Stagnant energy.

As this rich purple color washes over and through you,

Breathe a smile into your bladder and reproductive organs.

A smile into your bladder and reproductive organs.

On your next inhalation,

Breathe in creativity and personal power.

And as you exhale,

Let go of self-doubt.

Inhale creativity,

Personal power.

Exhale and release self-doubt.

With your next inhalation,

Bring to mind a pure white light washing over your body,

Clear on the inhale,

And cloudy on the exhale as you release old air,

Stagnant energy.

As this clear white light washes over and through you,

Breathe a smile into your lungs and large intestine.

A smile into your lungs and large intestine.

On your next inhalation,

Breathe in the qualities of confidence and courage.

And as you exhale,

Let go of any grief or sadness.

Inhale confidence,

Courage.

Exhale and let go of grief,

Sadness.

With your next inhalation,

Bring to mind a golden yellow light washing over your body,

Clear on the inhale,

And cloudy on the exhale as you release old air,

Stagnant energy.

As this golden yellow light washes over and through you,

Breathe a smile into your stomach and spleen.

A smile into your stomach and spleen.

On your next inhalation,

Breathe in the qualities of openness and fairness.

And as you exhale,

Let go of any worry that you carry.

Inhale openness,

Fairness.

Exhale out worry.

With your next inhalation,

Bring to mind a crisp green light washing over your body,

Clear on the inhale,

And cloudy on the exhale as you release old air,

Stagnant energy.

As this clear green light washes over and through you,

Breathe a smile into your liver and gallbladder.

A smile into your liver and gallbladder.

On your next inhalation,

Breathe in the qualities of tenderness and kindness.

And as you exhale,

Let go of anger and frustration.

Inhale tenderness,

Kindness.

Exhale and release anger,

Frustration.

Allow your breathing now to return to normal.

Begin to bring your awareness back to the body as a whole,

And notice the contact points with the ground,

Bed,

Or surface you're sitting on.

Start to wiggle your fingers and toes,

And gently shake out your hands and feet.

Slowly open your eyes and begin to gently take in the room around you.

Give yourself a nice,

Feel-good stretch.

Your meditation is now complete.

Sometimes you just need to reconnect with your body in a new way and this meditation really helped me to do that. It offers a new layer of perspective on how emotions get stored in the body and specific organs associated with different emotions. Very insightful and relaxing!

I listened to this at work while I was feeling anxious and it was so helpful to have it playing in the background 💗
