This has been an unusual guided journey meditation that brings an invitation to explore around you, within you, past and present, all with a safe observation, and to explore deeper areas of the environment, perhaps family systems, or something hidden within you that would like to come forward for you. A breaking open, an uncovering, and a choice of discovery and release.

And thank you for joining us today,

I invite you to just come on in and make yourself comfortable,

Whatever that looks like for you.

Find a space that's a little bit out of the way,

That you will not have outdoor or outside awarenesses,

But rather just a time and space and place where you can settle in just for the next 10-15 minutes where we just do some quiet opening and exploration.

As you sit here,

I invite you to bring your awareness to your breath,

If comfortable,

In through the nose and out through the nose or mouth,

And just to begin to track being with your breath,

Not looking to change anything,

But just to be with it,

Being really present with you here in this moment.

So now I invite you to imagine in your mind's eye that you are sitting at a table,

And this is your creation,

So allow it to be in a really nice,

Beautiful space.

It feels good.

Expand your sight in your mind's eye that this table that you're at is very comfortable.

The seat where you are is very comfortable.

And just notice how you're being supported.

Perhaps your back is leaning on something,

Your sitz bones are being supported.

You may even notice your calves or your quads touching the seat or the bench or the cushion,

And just bringing the awareness,

The curiosity of you in this space.

Allow,

Actually,

On an inhalation that a smile comes to your face and you're actually just,

It feels nice,

Things feel good,

And allow the exhalation whenever it needs to come.

And expanding your awareness of this space in your mind's eye,

You're at a table,

You're comfortably seated,

And you can now look around you,

And you just notice the whole environment,

The room,

The space,

Wherever it is,

Is lovely.

The lighting is perfect,

The air feels good,

And again,

You feel safe,

You feel like,

Ah,

It's a nice space.

And that table can be reminiscent of safety and feeling good,

Whether it is perhaps the table in your kitchen growing up,

Or the table at holidays,

Or the table where friends gather,

Or the table that holds a place for people to come and share food,

To share conversation,

And to be.

So,

All to bring forward in the understanding we're in a very comfortable space.

And as you continue with your breath,

I invite you to really pull back into yourself at this table.

And I want you to open yourself to your world,

Whatever that means to you,

And how it's been feeling in the past week.

You know,

Where does that take you?

Is that within your house?

Is it within your work?

Is that within your family?

Is that within your neighborhood?

Is that within your country?

Is that within your world?

Just,

Just notice,

How does it feel?

And bringing you forward again,

Knowing that you are in this safe place,

In your own space,

At your own table,

But expanding enough to allow the true feelings of the past week.

And don't worry,

You don't have to share them with anyone else,

But allow the truth to come forward to you.

How does it feel?

Where do you feel it in your body?

Just be aware.

Does it shift places?

Does it get overpowering?

And as we go through this little exercise,

If there's any time where the feeling and the bringing in is a little overwhelming,

I invite you to cross your arms over your chest,

Right over that heart.

And that will help you regulate,

That will help you release,

That will help you observe,

Rather than being exactly in it.

And for those who are able,

Who are here today,

Or whenever you join for listening,

And you get curious,

Let's continue.

Again,

Remembering to breathe,

Inhalation,

And through the nose,

Exhalation,

All through the nose or mouth.

And so now I invite you to expand this vision from just a week to the past month.

How does it feel?

Perhaps you can bring in or bring forward sounds,

Words,

Just allowing them to float and be in the environment around you.

As if you were dropping in with your table at your safe space into a larger environment that no one else will necessarily see or know you,

But you can observe from where you are.

And this dropping in,

Into this larger space where you are unseen,

But you are there.

It may be into a family system,

And breathe in and out with that.

It may be within a work unit.

It may be within a community.

It may be within a situation or environment you're not familiar with,

But you're picking up from.

Allow yourself the breath,

The tracking within,

And the releasing with the out.

Notice,

Give permission to feel,

And know that you are safe.

Now come back to this table,

Right here with you.

And I invite you to have something appear in front of you.

And it actually looks like it's about a little bit larger than the size of a softball,

Softball,

Which might be about 14 centimeters across.

Imagine that it's something somewhat round,

Maybe a little bit off shape,

And you can figuratively open your fingers and thumbs,

And your hands can be gently resting on it.

It's filled with imperfections.

It's a little bit bumpy.

It's almost like a rough-hewn,

Mud-packed,

Paper mache creation.

And it's right here on the table in front of you,

With your hands on it.

And within this,

Imagine that it holds a seed,

Or it holds something that,

Within you,

You have been struggling with.

So,

If there's nothing in particular,

I just invite you to realize there's something in there for you.

It is a pain,

Which causes a wound,

But it is also a gift.

And if you are curious,

I invite you to settle in with this awareness,

Breathing in,

And exhaling anything within you into,

Figuratively,

This object in front of you.

And I ask you to do this about three or four times,

And I invite you also to say,

If there is something inside of me that I need to see or explore,

Allow it to be blown into this piece in front of me.

All right.

Take another breath in and out.

And now,

If you'd like,

You can take your hands,

And you can break it open in whatever way,

Whatever form.

And when you break it open,

It may be crumbly,

It might be a little bit disintegrated,

But it comes open under your own power.

It might be a bit messy,

But just observe,

And don't hold judgment.

And inside,

Like in the center,

There is something.

I invite you to reach in with a finger and a thumb,

And to draw it,

Pull it out of that center,

And hold it up in front of you,

And take a look.

What is it that I am to see?

And with this thing that has come forward,

I invite you now to go in your mind's eye back to where your kitchen table landed,

Or where your table landed,

Whether it was in your home,

In your work,

In your environment,

In a community,

In a space you didn't even know.

And be there,

Feel that once again,

Knowing you are safe,

And bringing your awareness into what you withdrew from the middle of that broken open piece.

And as you sit here,

I invite you to hold the awareness of the bigger feeling,

And then almost hop in front of this smaller individual piece for you personally.

Are there threads connecting each?

Is there something that you feel within this personal part within you that's a little perhaps vulnerable,

Perhaps in the hidden?

What is it that you need to see,

Or is wanting to be shared with you?

For there is a part of you that has known how to do this,

And has chosen to show up for this today,

And to have opened this right here.

What is it you see?

What is it you feel?

How can you shift what you feel?

Is this something that you no longer need to carry?

Is this an emotion that doesn't need to be yours,

Or doesn't need to take up your space?

Is there anything else you need to know from what came from within?

Now I ask you at this moment to allow a smile to come across your face,

With a figurative or real nod right there to that,

Which has been presented from the center,

And say,

Hey,

Thank you.

And allow even a chuckle,

Because when we bring in a little bit of laughter,

A little bit of looking at something serious with a funny view,

Almost a smile of humor,

It allows a shift.

So if we need to bring a little levity to the seriousness,

It's just,

Okay,

Thanks.

And now the invitation is to ask yourself,

Am I done with this?

Am I ready to release it?

Has most of me grown up a little bit more or moved on or integrated where I don't need it?

So once again,

Give a thank you.

And at this point,

You have,

You have,

From this,

Whatever it was,

You have options.

One,

You can figuratively move your fingers around it as if you're grinding it into minutiae and letting it go to dust,

And transmuting it and releasing it.

Just it is gone.

It has served its purpose.

You have learned it has gone.

You can choose to bring it to a fire and just imaginatively just drop it into the flame,

Have it release.

Or if it's holding something that is so important,

You can choose to place it in a pocket.

And now I invite you to take a big inhalation in,

Exhalation out.

Allow yourself to that heart chakra,

The shoulders,

To spread out and back,

Allowing an opening in your heart,

In your very being,

Almost a welcoming in,

A newness.

And so now this is done.

So now I invite you to bring your awareness back to this table.

You may feel your arms,

Your forearms resting along the edge.

You may feel your elbows supported.

Bring your awareness to anything that is touching and what you feel.

And now I invite you from this place,

From this sense of a personal completion,

To bring this table,

You,

This space,

And drop it into a larger part from the past week,

From the past month.

Where do you land?

And now lift your head up and take a look and notice if it's in your house,

In your home.

Do you notice anything different in the family structure?

Did your transformation or shift allow your lens to open up and see in a different way?

Perhaps what is behind the masks?

If you were at work,

Is there a shift in your sight and what you see?

And when I speak this way now,

It is not from the eyes,

But the third eye,

The understanding of what is real,

What is real.

What is the truth behind?

We're not looking to change.

We're not looking to modify anybody else,

But to take that awareness,

Breathe in and out,

Look around again,

Capture any more information,

Bringing it home and back right to you at your own table,

In this own place,

Giving a nod of thank you for the information,

And allowing yourself to settle in with the understanding that you can work on yourself and not someone else.

But as you come home and you open your own figurative things within,

You release,

You welcome,

You shift,

And those changes within you will emanate outward.

So I invite you to bring your awareness back right to your own table,

Right into your being,

With the inhalation in of the air and the exhalation of anything releasing.

And as you sit here with the understanding that everything is in change,

And as we look to anchor and go within,

We can strengthen ourselves for that change.

Inviting you to track your breath with the inhalation in of the newness,

And the exhalation is the permission of releasing anything that you do not need to carry,

Anything that no longer serves you.

So I invite you to give another cycle of breath,

Coming right back into your body,

Coming right back to where you are at this very moment,

Allowing a smile to come across your face,

Giving a nod of gratitude to yourself and to this work,

And as we ready ourselves to step back into our day,

I want to give you a thank you for coming and exploring my journey.

Thank you.
