Welcome to this grounding meditation.

Before we get started,

I want to take a moment to honor that you are showing up for yourself,

That you are taking time to pour into yourself and ground in before diving into your day.

Wherever you're at,

Whatever is around you,

Whomever is around you,

I want to honor you showing up for you.

Now as we begin,

I want you to get comfortable in your chair.

Place your feet flat on the floor and really allow your feet to come in contact with the floor and allow this to ground you.

Close your eyes and begin to imagine all the negative ions in your body flowing through you and into the ground.

Let's take a few deep breaths.

Breathing in and breathing out.

Breathing in through your nose and breathing out through pursed lips.

Breathing in one more time.

Hold at the top and breathe out.

With your feet still flat on the floor,

I invite you to slowly begin a full body scan.

Begin with your toes.

Notice how they feel right now.

Tighten them up and release.

Notice your ankles.

Perhaps roll them around a bit.

Notice how they feel.

Notice any tension.

Move up to your calf muscles.

Then your knees.

Then your thighs.

Tightening each muscle.

Noticing how it feels.

Noticing any tension.

Notice your pelvic area,

Your root chakra.

Move into your lower back.

Perhaps even placing your hands on each area as you're moving upwards.

Feeling into what that body part is communicating to you.

Move to your upper back.

Then your belly.

Breathing deep as you go.

Breathing into any tension that you find.

Notice your chest,

Your hands,

Maybe tightening them up and then releasing.

Your arms.

Your shoulders.

Perhaps even rolling your shoulders out.

Notice your jaw.

We often carry so much tension in our jaw.

Again perhaps placing your hands on any tight areas.

Just feeling into what that body part is communicating to you.

Releasing any tension.

Notice your eyes.

And then the very tip top of your head.

I want you to imagine a beam of light shooting up to the sky from your head.

And then imagine a thread at the bottom of your feet going deep down into the ground.

Your roots.

You are deeply grounded and you are also connected into the abundance of the universe above you.

Breathing in.

And breathing out.

Imagine any tension remaining flowing through you and into the ground below.

Breathing in.

Breathing out.

Hunching up your shoulders.

One more time tightening all the muscles in your body.

And then release.

Thank you for investing this time in yourself today.

Wrap up by taking a few more deep breaths.

Opening your eyes as you feel ready.

And stepping into your day from a place of groundedness and deep abundance.

I did this meditation right after my daily morning yoga. As soon as you said to imagine roots going down into the earth, I felt this huge emotional release. Tears started streaming down my cheeks all the way until the meditation ended. I felt so grateful in that moment for Mother Earth and how She supports and sustains us. That was such a beautiful meditation. Thank you. 🙏🏼
