Coming into the gentle flow of our own breath, our own energy, and however we are feeling today. Tapping into the feeling of floating along a calm and gentle river. A moment to surrender and return to calm and ease. (music credit: chris collins)

Hello my friend.

For today's mindfulness practice,

We will be getting into an accepting flow.

If you're in a space you're able to do so,

I invite you to come onto the floor and lie down.

Placing your hands in whatever position feels most comfortable for you,

Perhaps they're at your side,

Or maybe you draw your left hand to your heart and your right hand to your belly.

And when you're ready,

Gently closing your eyes.

Softening through your face,

The space between your brows.

Releasing any tension you may be holding in your jaw.

Relaxing your shoulders and allowing them to melt into the earth below you.

Belly is soft.

Releasing any gripping or holding through your hip points.

Gently releasing through your legs all the way down to the soles of your feet and the tips of your toes.

I invite you to envision that you are floating on a calm river.

As you gaze up ahead,

You notice soft clouds coming and going.

You notice the soft,

Beautiful underbelly of the canopy of the trees above you.

As you float and flow on.

I invite you to think of these clouds and these passing trees as you would your own thoughts.

You see them,

You notice them,

And you gently let them go.

Your minds are busy,

They want to work,

They're designed to do this.

So rather than fighting the thoughts,

Envision your place here on this river.

Floating above and through.

Gently observing,

Gently noticing without attachment.

Using your breath as a soft anchor when you need.

And bringing in trust.

Recognizing and acknowledging that you are right where you need to be.

And whatever the outcome,

Whatever is on the other side,

Whatever is at the end of this flow.

It might just be far better than you ever imagined.

So what if,

Just for this moment,

You release and you let go.

And you trust both yourself and the process.

And then gently returning to your body,

Noticing the earth below you.

Gently wiggling your fingers and your toes,

Bringing some soft movement back in,

In whatever way serves you right now.

And whenever you're ready,

Opening your eyes and returning to this space right here.
