Hi,
Megan.
So good to be here.
Yes,
I have been looking forward to this for quite some time.
Oh,
How nice.
Me too.
So you now get the pleasure of answering my first question that I ask everyone,
And that is,
What does enlightenment mean to you?
So I have been thinking about this.
And to me,
When I think about enlightenment,
I think about Buddha,
Somebody who knows without question that they are part of everything and have felt what it's like and understand and live from that place of being connected and one with everything.
So that,
To me,
Is what enlightenment is.
And I am not there yet,
But I do work at it.
Sure.
And I don't think anybody's necessarily there yet,
Or we wouldn't be here still,
Right?
It's a process,
But it's something to work towards.
Yeah.
Yes.
And one of the things that I really like about the work that you do is intertwining intuition with business.
Yes.
So I definitely want to talk about that today.
And I also want to talk about your experience with dreams in your life.
They've led you down your path,
As well as Akashic Records and Spirit Guides and other things that you work with.
Awesome.
So where should we start?
Oh my gosh,
I don't know.
How about telling the audience how you came to work in the healing space of intuitive business and the different processes that you help other women with today?
Okay.
So I have a business background,
MBA,
But I've always been on a parallel path.
And so about the time I got my MBA,
I also was working on my intuition.
And I worked hard and long and diligently to get my intuition flowing,
Because I must have had a bunch of vows from previous lives where I said I would not use those skills,
I would not play with magic and all that.
But I didn't have any conscious memory of that,
So I just forged it and ran into roadblocks,
Etc.
But anyway,
So over time,
I worked in consumer packaged goods.
So it was general foods,
And it became craft foods.
And then I became a consultant,
And I enjoyed that freedom tremendously.
So I worked in a bunch of different marketing agencies,
And it kind of was a fill-in.
When they had too much business,
Or they needed to hire somebody,
Somebody quit,
Or,
You know,
Somebody went on maternity leave,
They needed a body to get stuff done.
So that's what I did.
And that went really well until the towers came down.
When was that?
2001?
So then I thought,
Now I need another career.
So then I went into coaching,
And still having this parallel path of being involved in all things spiritual learning,
Taking classes,
And teaching classes,
And working at psychic fairs.
I've just had a parallel path.
So once I went coaching,
I'm like,
Oh.
So I did some dating coaching for quite some time,
And that was incredibly fun.
It was all based on my own experience to try to find love after 40.
And then I was thinking about how using the combination of the coaching and the intuition could really work in any arena.
And I missed using my business knowledge and business skill,
And I thought,
Oh,
I could definitely help women who are entrepreneurial,
Who are trying to get out there and figure things out.
And I don't know about you,
But I did pay quite a few coaches,
Because there's this idea that if you want to be really big,
You got to hire one of these high-end expensive coaches.
And what I learned about them was so many of them don't actually know anything more than I do,
But they're teaching people how to make money versus other things that have less priority.
People spend a lot of money to learn how to make money.
And so some of the biggest coaches are the ones that are teaching other coaches.
So anyway,
I thought,
Wouldn't it be nice if you could learn to trust yourself in the process?
Because how do you know?
Is it this coach?
Is it this coach?
Are they saying what's worked for them?
Will it work for me?
All this kind of it seems like it should work,
But a lot of times,
By the time somebody's gotten big,
The world has changed,
The algorithms have changed,
And that stuff doesn't work anymore.
So now what are you going to do?
And so all along,
What I've been doing is listening to my own intuition.
So I'll tell you one of my really big stories.
It's one of the more recent ones.
I had a friend who was a coach,
And she told me about this company that was hiring like 50 coaches.
And they had this great program,
And the pay was amazing.
It was like $100,
000.
To do not much,
Like run a program for an hour once a week,
Go to a couple meetings and do some social media and answer some questions.
What the heck?
I'll try that.
So I decided to go for it,
And I got interviewed,
And I got through the interview process,
Which I hadn't done in I can't tell you how many years.
And then I had to go through all their training,
And it wasn't coach training,
But it was how to use their platform and all this stuff.
Okay,
Okay.
And then right before it was time to get started and the rollout was beginning,
The guy who was in charge,
It was his company,
Sends out this email that says,
Hey,
Before we can let the money flow,
We need to hit this number of subscribers.
And I was like,
What?
So I thought,
This guy doesn't have the money to pay us.
That's what my takeaway was.
And I thought,
I don't know if this is going to be good for me.
So then I'm like,
Well,
What am I going to do about this?
Because he was not a forthright guy.
It's not like I could have called him up and gone,
Hey,
Do you have three and a half million dollars to pay all of us this year?
Or what's the story?
So I opened up the website,
And I looked at his picture,
And this is how I started using my intuition.
When I went to college,
I would look at people's yearbooks from high school.
And I would say,
Oh,
She was a cheerleader,
And he was this and this person.
And I don't know,
I could just see stuff in the pictures.
And it was just something fun I did.
I didn't know anything about anything at that point.
So I still use the skill.
So I'm looking at his picture,
And I say,
Hey,
I feel really uncomfortable.
I don't understand what's happening.
I'm not sure I trust what's going on.
Give me something.
Tell me something,
Because I talk about this as Conversations on the Inner Plane,
And that's a book that I'm,
I want to be writing this year,
About how you can talk to anything and anyone,
But we'll get to that.
So anyway,
So I'm asking him the question,
And obviously I'm going to hear through my intuition,
Because his photograph is not going to really speak to me.
And what I heard blew me away,
Which was not my problem.
Now,
If I was going to make something up as a response to what I was saying,
That never would have been it.
In a million trillion years,
Not my problem.
I was like,
What?
No,
I said,
Don't you care that I'm nervous,
That I'm worried,
I don't trust you,
That you're not being transparent,
That it goes,
Not my problem.
So I decided I have to listen to this,
Because I am really,
Really committed to not going against my gut.
And it has worked,
It has never let me down,
Never.
And so I left $100,
000 on the table.
I sent him an email,
And I said,
I'm out.
Thanks for the opportunity,
Emma.
So I wouldn't let myself check on it,
Or talk to my friend,
Or whatever,
Because I didn't want to hear,
Was I wrong?
Was I stupid?
Did I make a mistake?
I knew,
My gut said,
Do this.
So okay,
18 months later,
I was curious.
So I looked up the company name,
And the third result in the search was where people had left reviews.
And one person said,
Nice idea,
But no money.
And another person said,
Heart's in the right place,
But no funding,
Never got paid.
And I thought,
I did hit the nail on the head.
So this is important,
Because if you have a feeling about whatever it is you're doing in business,
Or in life,
You have to trust your gut.
Because your gut isn't based on fear.
That's your ego.
Your gut will not lead you astray.
And you know,
I was in this podcasting group,
And they were all excited about starting a TV channel.
And the guy had told me about,
He brought somebody,
He met somebody who was like a TV producer,
Or something.
And I just got all bunched up inside.
Like,
Oh,
The feeling was awful.
And I just thought,
Oh my gosh,
This is not good.
And then I thought,
It's none of your business,
Keep your mouth shut,
Because he's all happy,
And let it be.
So a long time went by,
And then somebody from that group said,
Oh,
He ended up leaving.
He backed away from the whole thing,
Because the movie guy was blowing smoke.
So this is what,
I mean,
This is why I want to work with business people.
This is why I want to help businesswomen.
Because you can collect all the information,
You can do all your due diligence,
But there's never perfect information.
So your intuition can really save your butt and your bank account.
It's really important to learn to trust those little inner signals.
And like you said,
It's difficult in the beginning to differentiate between,
Is this worrying?
Am I freaking myself out and presenting all the possible negative things that could happen?
Am I focusing on those?
Or is this a,
Quote unquote,
Gut feeling,
An inner knowing,
That's telling me to do something that I am hesitant to listen to?
Because you're mislabeling it as the worrying,
Or the fear,
Or the rejection.
So it's really,
It's a slippery slope learning to decipher those things.
It is.
And that's why when I work with people to build their intuition,
I always tell them,
Don't start with the hardest question.
Don't start with the most pressure.
You really have to start with the little things,
Where you build your confidence and all the little things.
So like one of my favorite things to talk about is,
Start with your GPS.
So before you get in the car to drive,
Or once you get in the car to drive,
Decide.
Think about where you're going and which route you want to take.
And then check your GPS.
It's you versus the GPS.
See how you do.
That is a great way to have immediate feedback about your intuition,
About which path to take,
Which way to go.
And it can help you build some confidence,
And it doesn't take any time.
I love practice ideas that you don't have to set time aside for.
You're going in the car anyway.
You're gonna use your GPS.
So just take a moment,
Focus,
Think about the path that you think you should take.
What does your intuition tell you?
And then check the GPS.
You of course go with the GPS,
Because there's some data there.
But that's also come into play for me,
Where one time,
I don't know,
I wanted to go left.
And I always go left.
But I saw the road in front of me,
And I thought,
And it was so good that I went right,
Because the road was closed.
And when I have a GPS,
Though,
You got it.
I was about to say that.
Yeah.
So there you go.
So practice makes a big difference,
But find easy ways to practice.
Guess what temperature it is outside before you look at the thermometer.
Yes.
Or what time it is.
Yes.
Yes.
And I know that we've talked about it before,
Because I was a guest on your podcast where we talked about dreams.
And you shared some of the dreams that you have on that show as well.
And for me,
Dreams are really one of those doorways to our intuition.
It's really the way that we receive information that we might be ignoring in the waking life.
To me,
It shines a light a lot of times on things that I'm ignoring,
Denying in waking life,
That I'm saying,
No,
No,
No,
No,
No,
It's not.
It's not bad.
It's not bad.
And then I have another dream,
And then I'll have another dream.
And I'm like,
Okay,
All right.
So I think that,
For me,
Is a very strong voice that comes through.
Yeah.
I do have a lot of dreams.
I have a hard time remembering a lot of things.
But every once in a while,
You get one of those dreams where you're like,
Whoa,
What does this mean?
What is this about?
Yeah.
You've got to pay attention to it.
You write it down.
You try to figure stuff out.
I love the puns.
My brain loves puns.
Oh,
Yes.
Yes.
I love the wordplay where you'll be waking up and you're thinking about it.
You're like,
Well,
That doesn't mean anything.
And then as soon as you go to explain it to someone and you hear the words come out of your mouth,
You go,
Oh,
My God.
Okay.
Of course.
One of my favorites about that is right when I met my husband,
Well,
A little bit after,
And we had been on so many dates,
And then we spent the night together.
And the first night I think we spent together,
In the morning,
I had dreamt about,
His name was Paul,
And I had dreamt about Paul Newman.
And I'm like,
I dream about celebrities.
I'm not enamored with celebrities.
And I'm like,
I don't really get this.
Why would I be dreaming about Paul Newman?
And he said,
Paul,
The new man.
Oh,
Yes.
Hilarious.
Yeah.
I mean,
You know,
He,
To him,
It was obvious because his name was Paul.
I just thought that was just so funny.
So your brain is very clever.
Yes.
It's so,
It's so funny how it does that.
And also how you don't get it till you tell someone else.
It almost like has to come into verbal reality.
It somehow,
Or maybe if you wrote it down,
But still there's something about sharing it,
Which is why I think dream sharing is so important too.
But I also want to talk about the work that you do with Past Lives and the Akashic Records.
I've had a few people on the show that work in that arena.
And I know that there's a lot of interesting interplay between that and finding your place in business,
Finding your career,
Finding your path and your purpose.
What has your experience been with helping other people through that?
I have done a tremendous amount of Past Life work.
I love doing Past Life readings.
It's so much fun.
And I started doing this years ago before the books were written,
You know,
About how to go into the Akashic Records and this and that.
And I didn't know what I was doing was going into the records.
So anyway,
But I just,
It just came so natural.
I took a class for a whole year though.
I went with the same six women and instructor.
So I learned at a very early stage,
The incredible power and amplification that comes from working in a group consistently.
So that really helped solidify my skills.
But what I've learned about the Past Life stuff is it's kind of surprising how you might have similarities and you often do similar things or be drawn to similar things.
So many people who have been nun or monks or priests,
Like they've been in that religious service for many,
Many lifetimes working from all different angles.
And,
You know,
I haven't had a lot of experience from the business realm in the Past Life stuff,
But it does sometimes come up.
And one of the places where it really comes up is for people who do healing.
Because a lot of people today are afraid still.
They call it the witch wound.
Yeah.
So people are nervous because they were burned or hung or astracized or whatever.
And everybody wasn't a witch.
They worked with herbs or they knew other healing methods or they had the second sight,
They called it or whatever.
They were just using their God-given talents,
But the church didn't really like that.
Funny how that is.
Things like,
You know,
They talk about Salem,
How a lot of those women were widows and there were other people who wanted their land.
So the best thing you could do was accuse them of being a witch and then get their land.
So there's a lot involved,
All that kind of stuff.
But nonetheless,
It's in your memory,
Your soul memory.
And so sometimes that can get in the way.
And that's why I said I had a lot of vows and things where I promised,
Like,
I do not do tarot.
I cannot use a tarot.
The tarot doesn't like me at all.
And that's leapt over from a life when I used the tarot and I probably did some things that were maybe not as honest as could have been or whatever.
So those kind of things do seep through for sure.
And I am so fascinated though.
I love the stories.
Like this one woman,
She was giving me no feedback at all.
It's nice to get a little feedback from somebody when you're sitting there for an hour or whatever,
Telling them this stuff about themselves and they just have deadpan.
You're like,
Am I sucking wind?
What's happening?
So I told this woman that I saw her as a tiger trainer in the palaces in India.
So maybe she worked for Amar Harraja or whatever.
And she and her father at that time,
They trained the tigers.
And I'm thinking,
What the heck am I saying?
But anyway,
You just have to trust yourself.
So you just say what you get.
All right.
So at the end,
I finally said to her,
Well,
Do you have any feedback or did you relate to anything I said?
Oh my gosh.
My favorite animal of all times is tiger.
And when anybody ever says to me,
What animal would you be?
I always pick tiger.
I love,
And I was like,
She should play poker.
I had no idea that I was hitting the mark for her because she gave me deadpan,
No feedback at all.
But it is,
It's just such a fascinating adventure too.
Yeah.
It's always nice to get that validation,
But sometimes you don't,
Sometimes they don't let on or sometimes they won't realize it till after.
Or I've been in a lot of live situations where it's a one-way communication.
So people are receiving stuff in chat and they may or may not be really hitting it and might say that or not.
And then later they might send you a message or not.
So that's really where you have to,
Like you said,
Just completely trust in what's coming through and what you're saying and not judge it because it's not,
It's not supposed to mean something to you.
It's supposed to mean something to the receiver and you're just the messenger.
And you know where I learned that from?
This is really a funny story from one of Shirley MacLaine's books.
Her first book was out on the limb.
That wasn't her first book,
But that was her first spiritual book.
And the second one was Dancing in the Light.
And that was about learning about all her past lives.
And that's where I learned that you just have to say it because somebody was afraid to tell her something about elephants.
And it ended up being a very important past life to her where she had a relationship with elephants.
And the other person was thinking,
What am I saying?
You know,
And she loved hearing it and it all meant something.
So that's always a good story.
So yeah,
You have to,
You just have to say it.
Yes,
That requires anyone who's doing that work to set aside all of their preconceived notions about themselves to be that conduit,
Which in the spiritual space takes a lot of work to do.
Unless you're not afraid of judgment and all that kind of thing.
Like you said,
A lot of those,
A lot of people that are in this space are wounded healers.
They're carrying something probably from many lifetimes where they have to do this,
But they also have to heal that previous thing that they're carrying,
Which I mean,
Even myself has had to go through that.
I think a lot of us that step into this space obviously have been through something.
And that's what gives us the catalyst to help others too.
Sure.
No one's perfect.
We've all been through stuff.
I've been through stuff.
Absolutely.
I mean,
No one's perfect and perfectly healed or anything like that.
So tell me about the book that you want to be working on.
Inner Conversations.
All right.
So,
Conversations on the Inner Plane.
You can talk to anything or anyone,
Alive or dead,
Or historical,
Mythical,
Fictional,
Or inert because everything has a consciousness.
So I wasn't always aware of that,
But I've talked to plants.
I've talked to my honeysuckle bush in my backyard.
And I talked to the fire.
One time I had a friend and he built a big fire and she goes,
Let's try talking to the fire.
I'm like,
Really?
Well,
You can have a conversation with everything or anything and it doesn't have to be real.
I loved this series that was on Netflix called The Last Kingdom and the main star was Uhtred and it was about England at the time of the great marauding Viking,
Pouring out of Vikings who were taking over everything.
So it was like 850 A.
D.
And maybe in the next 50 years.
And so,
I don't know,
I was just infatuated.
Let's just say it's just one of those things.
So the series was spiritual though.
It had spiritual aspects to it.
And he had a big sword and he was so fearless and all this stuff.
And so I thought,
I really want to talk to him because I was just going through this big thing and I just felt like he could help me.
So I did a medication and I called on him and I'm like,
Hey.
And he came.
Because your brain is amazing.
You know what?
Either that or my guides have a really good sense of humor.
And so they're like,
Let's humor her.
This is fun.
I don't know.
He came and he took his sword and I needed to separate from some things.
And he cut all the way around me with his sword vertically.
He cut all the way around to free me from probably all those cords and strings and things that attach us to things we don't want to be attached to anymore or shouldn't have been attached to in the first place or whatever where you lose your power.
So it was kind of a healing thing because he cut all the way around me.
And I have to say,
I felt so much better.
I know it was something I needed.
So that's what I mean.
I mean,
That's just ridiculous.
I'm calling out to a character,
But it had meaning to me at the time.
It was fun.
He was really cute.
That's what I did.
And it ended up being really good.
And then he had a friend in the show and I wanted her to talk to me also.
And it was amazing because she put out her hand and it had apple seeds on it.
And then she went like this and everything became alive and the seeds flew out and they grew into little saplings and then they grew into big trees and it grew into a big orchard.
It was the most amazing.
Nothing like a good vision.
There's just nothing.
I love a good vision.
And so that was another very healing thing.
And I did them at the same time.
It was kind of like he freed me up from whatever the ties that were binding me.
And then she showed me that there was a whole world that I could feel and experience and expand into.
And from a bunch apple seeds came an entire orchard and all the possibilities that really exist.
So that's what I mean by inner conversations because you could talk to anyone.
You could talk to Einstein and ask him about E equals mc squared.
And so some of it could be like mediumship in a way.
There's some mediumship maybe to it.
Or channeling.
You have to be open enough to have that information come through.
But it's really fun and you can gain access to so much information.
And some people talk about it like you could make up a board.
Like if you have your own business and you're sick of being alone.
This is a business idea and not mine.
But you could just decide who you want on your boards.
They could be alive or dead or fictional.
And you can assemble a whole board of people.
You can build a relationship and get used to talking to them.
And just think of it as energy.
And get amazing information.
It just takes a little practice and a little repetition to bring that out.
To me that's all the magic.
I love the synchronicities.
I love the vision.
And I love the information that can come through.
You're like when that guy said to me,
Not my problem.
I never would have dreamed that.
There's no question that I did not make that up.
If I was going to make it up,
I would have said,
Oh honey what are you worrying about?
It could have been anything else but not my problem.
So for me this is just incredible fun.
And I love helping people get there.
To learn to trust themselves.
To learn to gain access to their own inner wisdom.
And then to reach out and get wisdom from the other sources.
Because everything,
Everything has wisdom.
It's amazing.
I love those stories.
I love the story of the orchard.
I love the idea of assembling your own council essentially.
With the big players.
To give you guidance.
Because it's really just tapping into the field,
Right?
And you can make them whatever you want them to be.
But it really is just giving you an avenue to get that universal wisdom.
And saying,
I want to hear it now.
I'm open to hearing it.
Show me.
And yeah.
I had a very powerful dream that involved the phrase show me.
That I actually put into one of my books.
Because it was like that.
I was asking to be shown.
And definitely once you ask,
You shall receive.
So interesting stuff.
Well I hope you do write that book.
And I look forward to reading it when you do.
Thank you.
All right.
Well thank you so much for being here today.
And sharing your story.
And what you do out in the world.
I really appreciate it.
Yeah.
Please do.
It was good.
Thank you.
Thank you so much.
It's been a blast.
Yes.
Thank you for coming,
Ronnie.
