Good morning.

Thank you for being here today.

The next few minutes are designed for you to prepare your mind for the day ahead.

Find your way to a comfortable seated position,

Spine long,

Shoulders rolled back,

Chest open.

Embody the feeling that you're about to do something really important.

Breathe in through your nose.

Breathe out through your mouth.

Close the eyes if you haven't already.

Soften the eyelids.

Breathe in through the nose.

Breathe out through the mouth.

Continue breathing at your own rhythm and with each inhale imagine you're welcoming in fresh energy.

With each exhale let go of anything that might still be lingering from yesterday and if the mind gets distracted just bring it back to your inhale.

Bring one hand to your heart and then place the other on top.

Notice the steady rhythm beneath your hand.

You are alive.

Next repeat these words in your mind.

Thank you for this breath.

Thank you for this body.

Thank you for another day where I get to choose how I show up.

Allow the feeling of thankfulness to fill your entire body.

From the crown of your head let it flow down to your chest,

Your shoulders,

Your belly,

Your hips.

Feel it in your fingertips and allow it to make its way down to the bottoms of your feet.

Take another breath in through the nose.

Long exhale out through the mouth.

Closing this morning practice by making a wish that these few minutes of peace and groundedness you took for yourself will trickle into every person you interact with today so that they too can experience this same feeling even if it's just for one minute of their day.

When you're ready gently open the eyes carrying this anchored feeling with you.

Let it set the tone for the way you meet the day.
