Welcome to Making Meditation Mainstream,

10-Minute Meditations.

My name is Carrie.

The meditation theme for today is alignment.

Alignment is a state where various components exist and work together in harmony.

When we are in a state of alignment,

Things just seem to flow better.

There's a sense of things working in your favor,

In a peaceful coexistence.

Consider a positive relationship in your life where you are simply aligned in your thinking and have the ability to finish each other's words or sentence.

Remember when working toward a goal or perceived outcome when the events seem perfectly timed to get to an ideal end result.

Cooperation and alignment come when your thoughts,

Words,

And actions come from honor,

Integrity,

Truth,

And love.

When the thoughts you have match the words you say and the actions you take,

You are in complete alignment and you can feel it.

You just know it.

When your internal world is aligned,

The external world around you is full of beauty and richness.

There's integration from the smallest to the largest part,

All for the greatest common good.

Now,

Get yourself settled as we begin the meditation sequence.

Taking a moment now to just settle and relax.

Close your eyes.

Together,

Let's take three breaths.

On each exhale,

Allow yourself to relax more and more.

Bring yourself into the present moment.

Allow the past to be the past and the future to be the future.

You are safe in this moment right now.

Place your attention on the top of your head and allow a deep sense of relaxation to cascade slowly down your face.

Feel your eyes become heavy.

Relax your jaw.

Open your mouth and allow your tongue to sit comfortably in your mouth.

Allow your shoulders to drop away from your ears.

Completely relaxing your arms.

Release your stomach and feel your legs and feet become completely relaxed.

Now place your focus and awareness upon your breath.

Watching the inhale and the exhale of the breath.

Witnessing the rise and the fall of the chest.

And should you have thoughts or distractions,

Just acknowledge them.

Allow them to drift slowly away and calmly return your attention back to the rise and the fall of your breath.

EXHALES DEEPLY Take a moment now to contemplate the theme for today.
