Enjoy the experience of walking by increasing your awareness and appreciation. This guided practice encourages you to embrace all your senses to be fully present at the moment as you move through the Universe. This meditation can be especially helpful during moments of extreme stress or high emotions by allowing your emotions to shift through the movement of the body. Music by Christopher Lloyd Clarke

Hello friend,

I'm looking forward to our walk today,

Wherever it may take us,

Especially the things we will experience in the environment around us.

We will be completely present and in the moment.

Start walking at whatever pace feels good to you.

Let your hands and arms move gently,

Your shoulders relaxed as you find your rhythm.

Pay attention to your breath.

Observe each breath and enjoy the relaxing sensation as you breathe deeply.

Welcome the clean fresh air,

Filling you with appreciation for living.

Let go of anything that is stressing you or occupying your mind.

This time is for you.

Just a few minutes to walk and leave those things behind.

This time is for you to just be here.

Take a deep breath.

Breathe in appreciation.

Find out tension and stress.

Allow any thoughts to move through your mind.

Return your focus to your breath and let's embrace our senses as we move.

Look around you.

See the beauty of the world around you.

The colors.

The textures.

Check out all the details as you move past.

If you are outside,

Look up,

Up at the beautiful blue sky and maybe a few white puffy clouds.

See the richness of the surroundings.

Can you see the energy of the universe around you?

What do you notice?

While you are listening to this meditation,

You are also listening to the background sounds around you.

The birds.

Perhaps a companion animal.

Cars.

Other people.

Your footsteps.

Use your sense of hearing and listen.

Do you smell flowers or trees or freshly cut grass?

Or maybe water,

Rain,

A lake,

The ocean?

Or perhaps the smells of a city?

Is there a breeze bringing other smells to you?

Now feel how your body is savoring this movement.

It is thanking you for taking this walk.

Feel your legs moving.

Your feet touching the ground with each step.

What are you walking on?

Your arms swing in rhythm with your steps.

Is the wind caressing your skin or blowing through your hair?

If it is daylight,

Feel the warmth of the sun on your skin.

Your lungs are feeding oxygen to your muscles.

Your blood is flowing.

And your heart is filled with peace and calm.

You are present,

Smiling as you embrace each of your senses,

Moving through the universe.

Take another deep breath.

Feeling gratitude for being here.

Right here.

Right now.

I look forward to walking with you again.

Let me know where you went in the comments and how you enjoyed our mindful walk together today.

I walked through a large expanse of green grass with tall trees surrounding the edges and wild flowers. When it was time to look up I got in between the trees admiring the sun peeking through the leaves ....beautiful 🍃 🎶 🙏

So peaceful for my morning walk. Helped to keep my mind present and not lost in the day's list of work, errands, and chores.
