Hey friends,

It's time for your daily affirmation,

Inspiration,

And mindful journaling prompt.

Today we're reading from Inspiration 347.

I strive for balance in my life.

You know that in order to live a happy and fulfilling life,

You must prioritize self-care and take the time to nurture your mind,

Your body,

And your spirit.

You approach each day with a sense of purpose and intention,

Making sure to set aside time for things that matter most to you.

You know that balance is not about perfection,

But about finding a sense of harmony between all aspects of your life.

You make time for the people you love,

The activities that bring you joy,

And the work that is meaningful to you.

You listen to your body and your intuition,

Knowing when to push yourself and when to step back.

You are in tune with your needs and your desires,

And you know that taking care of yourself is the foundation of living a fulfilling life.

You hear a lot about work-life balance.

I own a co-working space.

I hear a lot that people come here so they can have a better work-life balance.

They don't want to stare at the same four walls every day,

And they feel like they have no balance,

And it's good to be around other humans.

There's other things,

Too.

Things that bring you joy.

We talked about relaxation being important a couple days ago,

But joy.

Things that make you giggle,

Laugh out loud,

Things that make you happy,

Joyful.

What are those things?

If those things stop bringing you joy,

Then you need to find something new to do.

I had to do that a few years ago.

Come to work with intention.

If your intention at work is to just get through the day,

Maybe you're not inspired at work.

Maybe you should find something else to do.

If you're just going through the motions,

That's no fun.

That's a bore.

Balance.

It includes your needs,

Your desires,

Taking care of your body.

If your body starts to feel stiff,

Maybe you need to do some stretching.

That's another way of listening to your needs,

Listening to your body's needs.

If you're bored and you don't want to go get up in the morning,

Something is amiss.

If you cry all the time,

Because I did that for the last six years of my abusive marriage,

Something's wrong.

Yeah,

I stayed.

We won't get into that right now,

But something's wrong.

You got to find the balance between taking care of yourself,

Living with intention,

And being joyful.

All those things.

As I am fond of saying,

Everything in moderation,

Including moderation.
