Hello everyone and welcome to the meditation channel.
Today's meditation is designed to help you exercise,
To keep you committed and to understand what resistance you have to this commitment.
When you're ready close your eyes and get yourself in a comfortable position.
You can lie down or sit up and all you have to do is listen to my voice.
We all know that exercising is good for us.
We all know that it helps us not just physically but mentally and emotionally.
However,
Exercising isn't always fun.
It's hard and it requires commitment.
Oftentimes people think that their resistance to exercise has to do with the exercise itself.
But if you dig a little deeper it really has to do with the commitment.
The fact that you have to do it over and over and over again.
Not only that but you have to make time for it and you have to adjust your lifestyle for it.
This inevitably creates resistance because change has to happen.
It means you have to step out of your comfort zone.
You have to step out of the known into the unknown and it creates insecurities,
Fears,
Doubts and many other factors.
Everyone's resistance will be different.
So today we're going to explore your resistance.
Why you cannot commit to exercising.
Let's start by analyzing why you want to exercise.
The thing that you do actually want to change in your life.
So what is that?
Do you want to feel strong?
Do you want to lose weight?
Do you want to build confidence or become mentally strong?
What is it that you desire through this commitment?
What would it feel like to be committed to this?
Seeing the results,
Getting what you want,
Getting what you want.
What is the positive changes that you are expecting,
That you desire and what does that feel like?
Seeing yourself already there,
Already being strong,
Being the weight that you desire.
How does that feel?
How does that change your opinion about yourself?
How you carry yourself in this world?
It feels good,
Right?
It feels empowering.
It feels desirable.
Now that we know what we want,
We have to explore what we don't want.
We have to explore what we don't want.
You see,
There are two sides to a coin.
If you want to experience joy,
You must also know what suffering is like.
And the same applies to this.
Whenever we desire a change,
We desire anything in our lives,
We must prepare for the obstacles,
The challenges that come with that.
So what are the aspects of working out that you do not like,
Aside from the physical challenge itself of the exercises?
Is it the commitment?
The commitment to the consistency?
Is it that you have to get up earlier?
That you have to make time for it?
That you have to prioritize it?
Or maybe it's something more emotional,
That deep down you might not believe you can do this.
That you're going to fail.
You're never going to get strong.
That no matter what you do,
Nothing's going to change.
You really have to be honest with yourself here,
And really see the shadows that live in your mind when it comes to this.
When you face those shadows,
You can then activate your light.
So take a moment now to make a list of all the shadows that live in your mind when it comes to committing to exercising.
Ask yourself,
What is the true resistance that I have towards this desire?
And why?
Why do I believe these shadows?
Why do I believe that I cannot achieve it,
Commit to it,
Whatever it may be?
I would suggest at the end of this meditation for you to write those things down,
So that you can see them.
And now that you are aware of them,
You are prepared.
You know what it is that you need to overcome.
So let's spend a moment seeing yourself overcoming these challenges,
Whatever they may be.
Maybe waking up in the morning because you have to get up early.
And of course,
Those thoughts arise.
And of course,
Those thoughts arise.
You're tired,
You can't be bothered,
Whatever it may be.
And now take a moment to see yourself overcoming that challenge.
Telling your mind,
I hear you,
But this is a non-negotiable.
I committed to this today,
I'm a person of my word,
And I will take action.
And then see yourself getting up,
No matter how tired,
Getting through the day,
Getting through the workout,
And noticing how you feel afterwards.
How proud you are,
Not just of the fact that you worked out,
But the fact that you won over your mind,
Over your fears,
Over your weaknesses.
The key to working out,
Yes,
It is also the physical,
But anyone who works out consistently will tell you,
It's overcoming the mind.
You achieve that,
And you will achieve your goals.
It's about doing it.
It's about doing it,
Even though you don't feel like it.
It's about doing it,
Even if you don't feel your best or you're tired.
In the end,
It's the commitment to yourself,
To your word,
To showing up.
That is the most challenging battle when it comes to working out.
That is the most challenging battle when it comes to working out.
And so I want you now to create a mantra for yourself.
Something that you can tell yourself every time that voice shows up to tell you,
It's too late,
It's too early,
I don't feel like it,
What's the point?
Whatever it may be that you tell yourself to stop you from going.
From doing.
You really have to think of something that is short,
Easy,
Memorable,
And that it means something to you.
So take a moment to reflect upon that.
Did you find it?
If not,
I suggest that you spend more time throughout your day seeking a mantra,
A motivation mantra just for you.
We are going to finish this meditation now with some affirmations to motivate you.
I am ready to change.
I am more powerful than my mind and that will reflect on how much more powerful my body will get.
I am strong in my mind and body.
If others have done it,
So can I.
I will stop making excuses and I will start focusing on how.
I am capable to do anything as long as I commit to it.
When I commit to myself,
I learn to respect myself,
To value myself,
And to appreciate myself.
I am worthy and I will.
Today,
Everything will change because I choose to commit to myself.
In order for my body to change,
My mind needs to change.
I must become the new version of me and I like the new version of me.
I am strong,
I am healthy,
And it all begins with my mind.
And so it is.
Thank you for your dedication today to digging deep and figuring out what is in the way.
When we set goals,
It's important that we don't only focus on what we want,
Building up motivation,
But most importantly,
It's important that we focus on the obstacles and challenges that we will face.
Prepare ourselves best as we can,
So that when we do face those challenges,
We are ready and we are strong.
It's time to come back now,
So slowly,
Slowly,
Returning back.
Maybe wiggle your toes and your fingers,
Take your time to come back.
And when it feels right,
Take a deep breath in and a deep breath out.
Open your eyes.
