So continue to sit in a relaxed posture.

Continue to breathe in and out and let go of any sense of strain from your body.

And allow a gentle smile on your face.

The smile that tells you that you are content,

That you are happy with the state of presence,

That you are welcoming of the presence.

And really allow this smile to become intimate with yourself.

Become the qualities of your smile.

Become a smiling self.

Just by accepting the smile,

Just by living as smile,

Not by effort.

So you,

The presence is smiling,

Is open to all the experiences.

You're not building walls of your thoughts,

Not building walls of your judgments.

You are remaining open,

Transparent,

Light-filled self.

A resting body,

Smiling face,

A calm breath.

A sense of ease and there is no anticipation as to what's next.

If you are in search for what's next,

Know that suddenly you are rejecting what is.

And it is in this what is,

The signature of reality abides unceasingly.

The reality abides in this presence.

And if you leave this presence to look for the next,

You are missing out.

Hence the emphasis is on being present and not doing any effort with the mind.

And mind is always seeking the next or analyzing the past.

See,

If it is clear that the signature of reality is in presence and often with our mind and concept,

We are dwelling in past or future.

And regardless of how many times you have heard this,

It is the experiential experience of this that is of higher value and not the concept.

So see how it feels like being completely present beyond thoughts,

Beyond memory,

Beyond concept,

Experientially,

How does it feel?

And when I say how does it feel,

It is not an invitation to explain as to how A and B feels.

It is being open to experiencing the presence without thoughts,

Words,

Shapes,

And colors.

To continue to smile and continue to remain as this presence.

And the beauty of this presence,

The miracle of this presence is that it already is.

How miraculous that it already is.

And all your concepts of affording,

Attaining,

Getting it,

Are all futile.

Because if you remain open to what is your presence,

You know that there is nothing to be done.

That you already are.

That the miracle has already taken place.

That you are included in this existence.

And all the experiences that you feel,

You are the source of it.

That is what it means to remain present to what is.

So really upgrade the valuation of your presence.

Upgrade this experience of your presence.

Become fully available to it.

Do not leave anything behind.

Come here fully.

No reservation,

No doubt,

No half-heartedness.

All of it,

All of you,

Everything in this presence.

And know that this presence is sustaining itself.

That you do not need to do any effort to sustain it.

It is not fragile.

It doesn't need anybody's protection.

Nobody needs to know.

You nurture it.

It is on its own.

And it also knows itself on its own.

And this presence is in background of all our experiences.

The definition of reality has three aspects to it.

That only that can be called the reality that is always present in all experiences,

In all that there is.

And that it knows itself.

It doesn't need anybody's aid to know itself.

So in your experience,

Find that reality beyond thoughts,

Beyond concept,

As experience.

And you will see that all your thoughts has to end at the doorstep.

Doorstep,

As soon as you enter the reality,

Your mind has to cease.

The thought can't make the picture of it.

And this letting go of your mind,

Letting go of your thought,

Is surrendering.

Letting go of your effort is surrendering.

It is a courageous act.

Surrendering is not a cowardly giving in act.

Surrendering is a respectful,

Intelligent act.

Surrendering is knowing the limit of your thought,

Of your mind.

And surrendering to the bigger presence that you are experiencing right now,

That you can't by definition be outside of.

So continue to smile,

Continue to abide in this surrendering.

Continue to accept all the sensations,

Pictures,

Storylines,

Thoughts.

But you will see that already there is distance between yourself and the object of experiences such as thoughts.

Stories,

Sounds,

Sensations.

That there is clear distinguishing between the foreground and the background.

And before you know,

The background of yourself,

The background of being becomes more and more your foreground.

And before you know,

The objects of your experiences surrender to this background and are happy to remain in the background as your foreground becomes brighter,

Transparent,

Open.

This is the description of your first 10-15 minutes of meditation.

This is what essentially happens in a good meditation.

That you slowly allow the objects to come in background and the background that is yourself,

Your awareness becomes bigger,

Brighter,

Encapsulating all your experiences.

The priority is given to this,

To this self,

To this sense of presence.

In this approach,

We are not condemning the thoughts.

In fact,

We use thoughts to come and go.

To the doorstep.

And then we develop the skill to recognize that thought can only come with you so far.

And you naturally let it go as you enter in-house,

As you enter the temple of yourself.

You continue to smile,

Continue to abide as the presence.

And as we explained before,

Non-duality,

Advaita,

Means there is no two.

So,

After coming to this state,

After recognizing yourself clearly as the presence of awareness,

There are more steps to take.

Journey so far is known as inward-facing journey.

Journey so far is recognizing your real self.

But then there is a journey to integrate what we call outside into your experience and recognize that there is no two.

And by far,

This journey,

This outwardly journey is the bigger part of your journey.

In this part,

Not just the internal objects such as mind,

Thoughts and emotions are integrated,

But your body needs to be integrated into this wisdom.

And then sound,

Sound,

Sight,

And all other senses and the whole world needs to be integrated.

And that part,

The outwardly part,

That part takes time.

There is subtle sense of separation that exists even after the glimpses of your real self.

Clear glimpse,

Clear knowledge of yourself starts eroding the separation between yourself and everything else.

But there are other procedures,

Meditations and contemplations that we could do to shorten this journey.

Shorten this journey to integrate all your life experiences as one non-dual truth.

So continue to smile.

And if you have come so far,

Know that a lot has been achieved already.

And this light of knowing yourself clearly will now continue to guide you to the next phase.

That the basics of this inward-facing pathway continues to be your only friend,

Your only companion on this outward-facing pathway.

So remain present,

Remain open,

Effortless,

And allow all the experiences of the world to pass through you as you remain the light of awareness.

And see how effortlessly you are moving forward.

The sounds are known,

Sounds coming to you as my words,

As music,

As sounds in your room.

They're all known instantaneously without any lag,

Any delay.

So while you still remain present,

While you still remain the light of awareness,

See how miraculously all the sounds are known,

Felt,

Understood.

Beyond your thoughts,

Your thoughts are not understanding your sounds.

It is your awareness,

Your intellect that is comprehending,

Knowing.

All that there is right now in your experience,

Your thought can't reach here.

So clearly know that knowing yourself,

Knowing your awareness is an experiential phenomenon.

The word phenomenon is opposite to the word nominal.

Nominal means that it doesn't have any objective quality.

Phenomenon means you can create a shape,

Color,

And pattern to that experience.

So knowing yourself is a nominal experience.

Knowing yourself clearly without shape,

Color,

Pattern is a nominal experience.

And you remain as this experience as you interact with the outwardly world in outward facing pathway.

You still keep the basic of knowing yourself intact in your heart's heart as you venture out in nature,

As you venture out in market.

And it is this guide of knowing yourself clearly that guides you.

And we can slowly pick apart sound,

Sensations,

The body,

Relationships,

Sights,

Objects,

Time,

And space.

But we can't do all of that in one sitting.

But since many of you have been attending this live for a long time now,

I felt it is important for you to know the milestones in your journey.

Not to become obsessed with them.

Not to become obsessed with what's next.

When am I going to get there?

But just as a rough guidelines of the journey so that you do not become too complacent,

So that you can remain alert,

Aware of your pathways.

And know that a very few seekers know this clearly.

It is hard to break the illusory net of subject-object duality.

And most progressive paths take their time and often do not even culminate in the phase one that we explore in first 10-15 minutes of this meditation.

So now that you know the outline of your journey,

From here onward,

Continue to remain aware that the journey from here onward is not going to be essentially different.

It is still you,

The awareness,

Shining the light of your own self onto everything that comes in your connection,

In your vicinity,

In your experience.

So become aware of all that there is right now in your experience.

Become aware of your body.

Become aware of all the sensations that you call body.

Become aware of the sensation you call fingers.

Become aware of the sensation you call heart.

Become aware of the sensation you call your skin.

The skin is the biggest organ of your body.

One homogeneous organ covering your entire surface called skin.

Become aware of that,

The sensation you call skin.

And as you explore your body,

As you know your body as sensation,

See how it is essentially different to know your body from the light of awareness.

That the sensations arising in your awareness is what you call body.

Otherwise,

There is no knowledge of body.

It is these sensations that tell you the presence of your body.

And see that these sensations are arising in your awareness.

And see that these sensations are known by your awareness.

The body is in awareness.

The body is known by awareness.

Continue to smile.

Continue to remain present.

As you ask this question,

What is the substance that this sensation I call body?

What is this sensation made of?

If you are creating a sculpture of this sensation,

What material would you use?

Would you use clay?

Would you use plastic?

Or steel?

Or would you use water to create the sculpture of the sensation you call body?

You with the sculpture,

What material would you use?

Would you use air to sculpt the sensation you call body?

Or would you use sound to sculpt this?

Would you use air?

Would you still be accurately able to sculpt this sensation you call body with air?

This sensation,

Would you sculpt it with some sort of energy,

Some sort of invisible immaterial substance-less substance?

What is this sensation you call body made of in your experience,

In your direct experience?

Not as concept,

Not as thought.

The only substance you could find in this sensation is made of nothing but sensing or knowing.

There is nothing but knowing or sensing exist in this sensation you call body.

And the knowing and sensing is just a word to explain awareness.

So the body you call body,

The sensation you call body is made of sensing only.

And sensing is synonymous to awareness.

The body,

The sensation you call body is known in awareness.

It arises in awareness and is made of awareness.

There is no other substance than awareness present in this experience we call body.

So if this is clear to you,

Know that your outward facing pathway has just begun,

That you have started to integrate your body in your non-dual understanding,

That your knowledge of yourself is not standing aloof from your body.

That your body is part of yourself is awareness.

Awareness has the ability to sculpt itself in multiplicity and diversity of senses.

Objects and experiences remain open to that possibility.

That the multiplicity and the diversity of all your experiences are made of awareness,

Are known in awareness and they arise and disintegrate in awareness.

So continue to smile.

Continue to smile and continue to experience your body as awareness.

Continue to experience the sensations,

The sensing,

The sensations in all its shapes,

Colors,

Patterns,

As outwardly display of your awareness,

Of the awareness.

And rest in this knowing.

Normalize this knowledge.

Allow it to become part of you.

Allow it to settle.

Allow this knowledge to become part of you on its own.

Allow it to do its magic.

Nothing is more magical than this clear understanding.

You can't value.

There is no valuation to this understanding.

So remain open and surrender and allow this understanding to do its magic.

Welcome and let it settle in your body.

In your intellect.

So that in time it becomes your first nature.

And for the rest of this meditation today,

We are just going to sit in the light of this understanding,

Of this knowledge.

In all of you,

Different layers and different levels have been unlocked as you remain open to this.

So be very respectful to this process and allow it to settle.

No effort needed whatsoever.

The work has been done.

So remember that your mind can't enter this temple.

So if mind is trying to comprehend and write an essay,

Smile at it.

And it will know.

It will know and it will disintegrate.

And as it disintegrates,

You abide as the temple effortlessly,

Unceasingly,

Ever present the light of awareness.

For those of you who may have something else to do,

You're welcome to write a note,

Say bye.

But those of you who can still sit in the light of this knowing,

You're welcome to sit with me for another eight minutes or so.
