So sit comfortably,
Easily,
Naturally but try to ensure that your body is relaxed and somewhat parallel.
By that what I mean is your feet if you're sitting on chair and your feet are resting on floor,
See if they are evenly placed,
See if your two legs are parallel to each other,
Two arms are parallel to each other,
Your hands are folded in your lap,
Your head is roughly parallel to the ground and see if you can allow a gentle smile on your face,
Just a gentle smile on your face and see if you can become more attuned with the smile and see if you can feel the micro sensations of this smile.
The sensations that this smile brings on your cheeks,
On your lips,
How it softens your forehead and see how it softens your eyes and you may have even noticed that even your breathing has started to become more relaxed,
Calm.
So continue with this messaging to your body that you are here for some rest,
You're not here to do meditation as such,
So there is no concentration,
Focusing needed whatsoever.
If anything,
You're here today to be effortlessly,
So any effort is going to be almost like a hindrance to this relaxing.
So allow yourself to be completely lazy,
There is nothing to do,
Nothing to achieve,
Nothing to strive for,
So let go of any expectation you may have and also let go of any anticipation as to what's next or what may be next.
So let go of that,
Let go of any effort,
Just sit here naturally,
Normally,
Easily and as you sit here,
Let go of that role or responsibility,
The layer of duty.
Just for these 25 minutes,
Let go of that,
Let go of your designation,
Let go of that and be completely one with your natural sense of being,
Yourself,
Your being,
Just the very natural,
Irreducible sense of your being,
What you essentially are,
Nothing else,
No roles,
Not even relationship with anyone,
Just you and yourself and relationship to yourself,
Very effortlessly.
Let go of even your gender,
You're not even that,
You're just trying to rest here as your natural sense of your own being,
Supremely lazy.
Right now,
Even opening your eyes is an effort,
Even regulating breathing or anything is an effort and you recognize that you are just here for rest,
Allow that natural smile to continue on your face and be one with the effect of your smile,
Not the action of your smile but the effect of your smile.
There is no effort,
The smile is effortless and you are one with the peace,
The sense of happiness that this smile is indicating.
You are that,
That sense of happiness,
The sense of satisfaction,
Contentment.
So your being is content,
There is nothing it needs,
Just happy resting here,
Just like this.
Should any thought or feeling or image appear,
Let it be,
There is nothing to keep or to hold on to,
Let mind create,
Bring up all sorts of perturbation but see that your natural sense of being is broader,
Bigger than this mind that is bringing up objects.
So see these thoughts and emotions as rising objects,
Like in a boiling pot of water,
How bubbles rise,
See thoughts like that and they self-liberate,
They come and they go on their own accord and your being that is watching stays.
See how your being is not passing but all those thoughts,
They have passed,
The thought you had three seconds ago has passed,
Let alone thought and emotion you had ten minutes ago,
None of them have stayed but this natural sense of your being,
You yourself,
The essential abstract canvas on which everything is painted upon,
That self,
That self is resting,
That self is visited right now,
By you,
In you,
As you,
Stay as that.
All the roles are gone,
All the gender,
Relationships,
Memories are put on side,
You are just your essential self,
Resting in yourself,
As yourself,
With no effort,
Hence this natural sense of being.
Be aware of this space,
Be aware of this sense of being and you are naturally aware of this,
You don't have to do any effort to be aware of this.
Know that there is nothing to reach,
Nothing to create either,
There is nothing to change,
Nothing to control either,
Nothing to attain,
Just notice,
Just be.
The word awareness is a very compact word but it has a lot of meaning to it,
Aware means to know and ness,
The suffix ness,
N-e-s-s,
Suggests being of something,
So awareness means knowing and being,
Awareness,
Knowing,
Being and in this exploration,
As you let go of all your roles,
Responsibility,
Gender,
Memory,
Thoughts on side,
All you are left with is this natural sense of being which knows,
Which knows itself and knows everything that arises in itself,
Hence the word awareness is represented in this,
In you being like this is awareness,
It is a very compact word but there is a lot in it,
So if you can just remain rooted in this definition of word awareness,
That is the best meditation you could do,
Be aware,
Stay as awareness in awareness and see how effortless it is,
You didn't have to practice for 20 years to get to this,
You didn't have to cultivate this and yet it is so intimate,
So close,
It is so close because it is you,
It is always been you and you have always been just this,
All you have done is you have come to your own home,
You have let go of all the external life and responsibilities and for a moment you have just come home,
That's what it is,
Very simple,
Very intimate,
Very natural,
Very effortless sense of your own being and just like this you have become the fragrance,
Fragrance of awareness which is often represented as peacefulness,
Happiness,
These two words are synonymously used to express this fragrance of being home,
Peacefulness because there is no perturbation here,
There is no distraction here and even if there is a thought that tries to convince you that there is a distraction here,
You will instantaneously know that it is just a thought,
A cloud passing but you this home is not passing,
So that thought is known in its insignificant nature and as soon as you know that it is gone,
Have you noticed that as soon as you stop a thought,
It goes,
As soon as you question a thought or even observe a thought,
It's gone,
You can never hold on to a thought,
In your language we say we are holding on to thought but in your experience if you ever try to catch a thought,
It is gone and that's its nature,
It's transient,
It is never permanent,
What is permanent is this home of your own,
The awareness,
Knowing and being that knows all your thoughts,
Gives space to all your thoughts and stories and emotions so again reminding yourself of the word awareness and the meaning of awareness,
Knowing and being in many cultures across the world awareness is seen,
Accepted as irreducible quality of our existence,
You can't go further back than this you can't go behind awareness you can't go above awareness so it's referred to often as the canvas on which the life is painted on so stay here be that extremely lazy person extremely lazy person who's just listening to this and the awareness is finding meaning to these words without any effort and notice that you are not waiting not expecting notice that you are not even striving there is no next for you there is no past,
It is just this this very moment which has stretched and has become now notice that there is no moment in now that moment signifies that it starts and it ends but you will not be able to mark a start or end point of anything like moment in this now see for yourself is this moment starting or ending or isn't just a continuation of now continuation of your own presence so the word present moment is experientially not true,
There is no present moment experientially is only just presence and how wonderful that is when was the last time you realized that our tendency to divide time in three is just a concept experientially you don't find time you have not known that 20 minutes have passed already that is also another thing that always happens when you're rooted in your home when you are at your home in this awareness time loses its meaning sometimes hours can pass and you may feel that probably only 10-20 minutes have passed such is the nature of this nowness,
This presence,
This laziness,
This coming to home this being yourself this being yourself this awareness always simple,
Always intimate always here and always now and the power of realizing this awareness is always in experiential realization because when you start talking about it,
You can feel books and books as people have without even touching even briefly this fragrance this fragrance,
This experiential knowing of your peaceful and happy nature continue to breathe naturally continue to be your natural effortless self and here like this you are in the height of your being this is your true place,
True home,
The self peace is your fragrance and silence,
The unbound silence,
Stillness the unbound silence,
Stillness is your nature and look how simple,
How natural,
How intimate this is and also see that awareness never comes and go what comes and go are the mind objects but your ability to know and be never goes,
Never passes there was not a single moment in last 25 minutes of this exploration 25 minutes of this exploration where you had a gap in knowing and being the same is true for your entire life,
You never get this is your continuous self and visiting this self without any stuff from outside is the essence of all mindfulness,
All meditative contemplative practices so continue to be here like this and let go of any sense of boundary you may have let go of any sense of the boundary of body let go of the sense of boundary of the room that you are in and allow yourself experientially to expand and take the space take the space as wide as the room and beyond and beyond and see,
Assess that experientially you have no experience of boundary so be one with this experience of expansion,
Spaciousness in quantum physics there is a very famous quote that the boundary of boundary is boundaryless which refers to when quantum physicists try to find boundary of an atom as it was represented in our science book like a round solid ball they find that the boundary of boundary of an atom is boundaryless so in the same spirit allow yourself to be boundaryless just for this exploration be open to the possibility that there is no boundary and you are one with the space and the space is one with you and there is no you just the space vast,
Open,
Knowing space and see there is no effort needed,
No focusing you do not need to hold on to any thought,
Thought of expansion,
Of thought of awareness let all effort go let all effort go and just be this wide,
Open,
Spacious awareness just for a few more moments on your own know intimately that this is your own experience and you can come back to this again and again on your own or with us here and as you visit this space,
This home more often you will know you'll be able to visit this in your active life so allow space for this natural being to pervade your active life to pervade your roles and responsibilities and relationships it doesn't have to be exclusive that it is this or that it can both coexist so let that be one of your goals
