Deep relaxation will bring you the calmness to start to release stress. Your breath will help you to let go. Acceptance will release you from the cycle of triggering stress over and over. Self compassion then assists us to soothe and calm ourselves more deeply. You will be feeling peaceful, calm, centred and aware that you are not your stress. Thank you for joining me tonight.

Sit comfortably,

Put your feet flat on the floor or sitting cross legs.

May your palms be upright in a receptive posture and your eyes closed.

And now take your focus to your breathing,

Watching the breath come in and out.

Just allow your breath to breathe you and with each exhalation allow yourself to drop more deeply into your physical body.

And now taking a big breath,

Inhale filling your lungs and then slowly and completely exhale,

Letting go and emptying all the air and sluggish energy in your lungs.

When it's completely empty,

Take another big breath in,

Filling your upper lungs,

Your back of lungs,

Sides of lungs and then exhale slowly and completely,

Emptying all that stale air out of your lungs.

When you're completely empty,

One more big breath in,

Filling your lungs and then holding in full,

Enjoying that sensation of fullness and then emptying,

Squeezing the lungs,

Emptying all the air out of your lungs.

So when you're completely empty,

Just return to natural breathing,

Noticing your breath as we let go of all that we've been doing today.

All the people we've been speaking with and the places we've been,

Just closing these now as if we're clicking windows on our computer screen,

Just clicking them closed,

Clicking,

Clicking and clicking,

Everything that's been happening today,

Just closing it off.

Coming into the present moment,

Taking a breath in and exhale,

Being here and now,

Aware in our breath and now calling ourselves back from the future,

Back from anything that hasn't yet happened,

Any worry or concern,

Any anticipation or planning,

Just calling ourselves in,

Once again,

Clicking these screens closed and coming back to self,

Coming back to your breath,

Calling yourself in,

Calling yourself into here and now,

Coming back to self,

Coming back to self.

And now feel that,

How do you feel right now?

And just have awareness for your physical body firstly.

What's going on in your physical body?

Just notice,

Acknowledge this and just accept whatever is there.

Of course,

Move to be more comfortable if you need to.

Now let's look at our emotions.

How are we feeling right now?

Just allow yourself to take just a little look at how we're feeling.

What comes up for you firstly?

And just notice this and accept whatever is there at the moment.

Taking a breath in and release,

Release into that acceptance.

And now coming to our mind,

What's happening there at the moment,

Just observing our mind,

Observing the thoughts that are coming through,

The thoughts that are coming through,

Observing the thoughts that are coming through,

The thoughts that are wanting to distract us.

Just notice and acknowledge what this is.

And as the observer,

Just accepting what is there.

As we accept that,

We're not trying to struggle with the mind.

We're just working together with our mind.

And at the moment,

Just let our minds know that where we're going to focus is on our breathing and wherever this meditation takes us to.

So this is our intention.

Let's let our mind know this.

And now being aware of our head,

Our hairline over the back of our head,

And we're going to relax all the muscles here.

Relaxing all the muscles,

Our hairline,

Scalp,

Back of head,

Consciously relaxing all of these muscles.

Relax.

Relaxing the muscles in our forehead.

If you'd like to visualize,

This can be really helpful.

See the muscles like elastic bands returning to a naturally relaxed position.

Relaxing your temples.

Relaxing your temples,

An area that quite often we clench,

We grasp,

We hold tight in.

Just inhale,

And ever so gently breathing out of our temples.

Nice.

Relaxing our eyebrows and our eye sockets.

All around our eyes,

Relax.

Let that stress drop away.

Relaxing behind our eyes.

Behind our eyes.

Relaxing around our mouth,

Lips,

Gums,

Teeth,

Tongue.

Relax.

Relaxing your jaw from your ears to your chin.

Wriggle your chin to break any tension there.

Now take a breath in and breathing out of all the places in our head,

All over our head.

Letting go.

Once more,

Inhale and breathing out,

Releasing all over our head.

Now coming to the throat and the neck.

Relax.

Throat and neck.

Now inhale and breathe out of throat and neck,

Letting go.

More tension and tightness.

Tightness in our throat and neck.

Once more,

Inhale and releasing out of throat and neck,

Particularly the back of the neck.

Let your shoulders drop.

Relax your upper back.

And now notice your chest.

How are you feeling in your chest area?

Just notice first of all,

Is it tight?

Tired?

Relax your chest.

All over your chest.

Upper chest,

Back of chest,

Front of chest.

Relax.

Notice your stomach area.

Let the information come to you first.

How are you feeling in your stomach area?

Let yourself feel that.

Now relax.

Asking your body to relax.

Using your mind to help your body relax.

See it relaxing.

See the muscles relaxing in your stomach area.

All over and around this part of mid region,

Including your gut and intestine.

Relax.

Relax.

Relax.

And breathing in and breathing out the stomach area,

Front and back,

Relaxing,

Letting go.

Relax.

Now let's focus on our hips and our pelvic area.

What's happening there?

Relax.

Relax.

Relax the legs and feet,

Arms and hands.

Relax.

Now breathing in through the top of your head,

We're going to flush this all the way through our body and out the base of our spine,

And our hands,

And our feet,

All those exit points.

And again,

Breathing in through the top of your head,

Down through the body and out.

And once more,

Breathing in from above your head,

Down through your body,

Very consciously washing out all this tension,

Tightness and tightness.

Let it go.

And now relaxing again,

Just being in your heart space this time.

The middle of your head,

The middle of your chest,

Heart chakra.

Let's center ourselves here.

Being with your breath,

Noticing the inhalation and the exhalation.

Notice how different you feel now to when we started.

Now we're going to do a little bit more releasing from different parts of our body and our emotions,

Maybe our mind as well.

So just breathing in from above.

Let that fill your whole being.

And now relax.

So I want us to come up to our top of our head,

We may call that the crown chakra,

And sending our focus up above us,

Straight up,

Up and up,

As far as you can imagine to the light above.

So we're going to consciously call on a beautiful white light,

A cleansing and healing light,

Asking that light to pour down through the top of our head,

Being open and receptive to it.

And let it pour into your body.

Let it pour into your emotional body.

Let it pour into your mental body.

And let it pour into your energy body.

And then as your body fills with this,

All those dimensions of our body,

We let it flow out of our body and from the base of our spine and the soles of our feet down into the earth.

Let the light flow through,

Down into the earth.

That's it.

Now we're going to call it back up again.

So inhale and bring that light back up from the earth.

Coming back up through all the dimensions of our being back up out of the top of our head and sending it back to the light above.

Calling on that light again,

Inhale,

Down through our bodies into the earth.

Gifting it up from the earth,

Back up,

Use your inhalation,

Always with the breath,

Breathing in and sending it back up all the way out.

This is a very easy way for us to get assistance with this universal energy or light to help release stress.

It's coming down through our body and into the earth,

The same pathway,

And calling it up from the earth and sending it back up again.

And now you'll see that we've been building this pillar of light that goes through our body and out either side,

Above and below.

The last time we'll breathe in this light and bring it just to the level of our heart.

Sitting in our heart,

Feeling that,

Feeling all that light within our being now.

It's going to be here to assist us with the next little part of our meditation tonight,

Which is to do some more releasing.

So just being comfortable,

Knowing that you are safe,

Knowing that you have support.

So just feeling into your emotional body and what's happening here for you just at the moment.

And this time we're going to allow ourselves to feel more deeply.

If you come to uncomfortable feelings,

That is what we're after.

Just allow yourself to feel these.

We are human beings with feeling bodies.

We are supposed to feel our emotions.

And in feeling our emotions,

We process them and can free ourselves from any uncomfortable ones.

But first of all,

We do need to feel them deeply.

And quite often,

This is the hard part.

We don't want to feel them.

We don't like them and we push them away.

We bury them and suppress them.

However,

They sit there and they keep triggering a similar experience in our life.

So in this way,

We can release the stress,

Release the tension,

Release these uncomfortable feelings.

So just allow yourself to notice how are you feeling.

If you can put a name on this,

Good.

If you can't,

It doesn't matter.

Important to allow yourself to go as deep as you can tonight,

Acknowledging these feelings.

These are here.

These are real.

We have already experienced the experience from which these came.

We've already done the hard work.

What is left is just a residue.

So just breathing in and breathing out and releasing all over your body.

Wherever it wants to come out,

Letting go,

Letting go of that emotion,

Just letting it go.

With your breath,

Inhale again and releasing all over your body everywhere.

Now,

Particularly our solar plexus,

All that stomach area front and back behind us as well.

Inhale and release,

Letting go.

Now,

If some of those emotions were to do with being unfairly treated,

With betrayal,

With guilt,

With shame,

Just breathing in and breathe out of your heart and solar plexus.

Solar plexus,

That soft area between the rib cage.

But if it wants to come out somewhere else,

That's good too.

Let's inhale and release any of those difficult emotions.

Let them go.

There may be others here that I haven't named,

But you can name.

Just inhale and breathe out and release these.

So just accepting what was,

Has happened.

We cannot change this,

But we can accept what has been,

What we have experienced.

It may have been unfair,

We may have made mistakes,

We may have made the wrong decision,

We may have done the wrong thing,

But it is done.

Let's accept that.

Accept whatever happened.

Just breathing in now,

Breathing that light in again from above.

Breathing it into your heart and your solar plexus in particular.

Filling up those spaces and places that we just released from with the white healing light.

Just let that come in and fill us again with a much more high vibrational energy and relax.

And we're also going to call on compassion for ourselves because life is tough.

There's all sorts of things that we have to go through and that's the way it is.

That's the way of being a human being on this earth,

The way it's supposed to be.

This is not an accident that these things are happening in your life.

This is the way our path is.

So to have compassion for ourselves,

For all these difficulties,

For all those suffering that we have to go through.

Let's call compassion into our lives,

Into our heart.

So breathing in,

Breathing in through the top of your head's always good.

Bring it down from there to our heart.

Self-compassion,

Breathing it into your heart.

Beautiful,

Soft,

Loving energy.

That generous,

Loving,

Understanding energy for ourselves.

Self-compassion,

Knowing that it's tough,

Knowing that we've suffered,

But we can be compassionate for ourselves.

Keep breathing in that beautiful,

Soft energy.

Some soft pink light coming in as well.

Just let our heart and our mind bring it into our solar plexus too.

Let them relax now.

Let them fill up on this softness,

On this loving energy,

Loving ourselves,

Understanding that life is tough and what our life has been.

Just offering this to yourself and let that stress drop away.

Oh please,

Just thinking I'm releasing all self-doubt and uncertainty,

All stress that I cause myself by doubting myself and just breathing in and release from solar plexus.

And I release all harshness,

The harshness I have for myself,

The self-criticism and the badgering or beating myself up when I've done the wrong thing or made a mistake.

Let's let that harshness go and replace it with self-compassion.

So inhale and release from solar plexus and heart.

Solar plexus and heart,

Just letting go all of that harshness with ourself and breathing in and releasing out the back of our body,

Letting that go.

Beautiful.

And just resting now in your heart again,

Just giving yourself some self-care,

How well you have done with this releasing and renewal.

And I just feel that some of us are feeling that energy of abandonment.

And I'd just like to touch on that before we go.

So just tuning into yourself.

And if you are experiencing or have experienced that sense of abandonment in any way whatsoever,

Let's let's feel it first.

Feel that sense of abandonment.

And if this has brought tears to your eyes,

That is a good thing.

Just acknowledging acknowledging what's here,

Accepting what's here and what has been.

Just accepting this and knowing that these emotions are important.

They're giving you messages.

They want to be felt.

They want to be recognized.

Our emotional body really needs this.

So inhale and now releasing from everywhere and releasing out of the base of your spine this time.

The base of your spine,

Letting go.

That energy of abandonment,

Whatever form it's taken in your life,

Let it go.

Letting it go.

Once more,

Inhale and releasing out of the base of your spine.

That's it.

Well done.

Well done.

Let it go.

Let's bring in that light,

The white light,

Breathe in from above and bring that down to base of your spine.

Feeling this space,

Feeling this chakra,

Feeling this part of self.

It's this white healing light and the pink light of compassion,

Calling in the self-compassion.

Self-compassion is so important for us.

Give ourselves and just think of what action you might like to give yourself.

Do it if you feel like it,

But you can just imagine it as well if you were nurturing or soothing somebody and this somebody is you.

What is it that you want?

Is it a hug?

Is it a stroke?

Is it a cuddle?

Is it being wrapped in a beautiful soft quilt or cloth?

What's nurturing and soothing for your emotional body?

Keep breathing in,

Bringing in that beautiful pink light of love and self-compassion.

Breathing into your heart,

Bring it into your heart.

Just feeling into your heart,

It feels much more open and relaxed now.

Beautiful work through acceptance.

The light pours in and you're thinking to yourself that you're a being,

I am a being of love,

Of compassion.

I have compassion for myself and for all that I've been through and all that causes me stress.

I have compassion for myself.

Breathe that in.

I accept what has been.

I accept that I cannot change what has already happened.

I offer myself acceptance.

I accept the things that have happened in my life,

The things that I have done or said.

Breathing this energy in to support us.

White and pink light,

Pinkish white light,

Beautiful,

Loving and compassionate energy for ourselves.

And just feeling,

Being aware of yourself,

How you're feeling now at the end of this meditation.

Being aware of how relaxed you are and how present you are to yourself.

I accept myself just as I am.

I approve of myself just as I am.

You are a beautiful being,

Unique in your own qualities.

Beautiful.

And just sit in the light and your own presence.

In the light and your own presence.
