Begin by finding a comfortable position.

You can be seated or standing or moving around,

Just allowing yourself to be where you are in this moment.

Feeling the bottom of your feet,

Just taking a breath in and out.

Rhythm is a very important part of our bodies,

Of our lives,

Our relationships,

And so often we don't notice it or we push past it or we get used to a rhythm that is not our ideal,

That is not comfortable.

So this meditation track is about helping you just to reconnect with your internal rhythms,

Which are always with you.

Our bodies are made up of rhythms.

So in this moment beginning to allow yourself to notice the rhythm of your breath as it moves in and out.

You don't have to do anything fancy to your breath,

You don't have to extend it or hold it or count it,

But just noticing your breath.

There's always an inhale followed by an exhale followed by an inhale and your body knows what to do,

Just need to allow it to do it.

And then tuning into the rhythm of your heartbeat,

You can put a hand on your chest if you like or find your pulse and just noticing the sensation of that rhythm.

And if you're noticing that it's fast or a little anxious or tight,

That's okay.

This is just about reconnecting to your internal rhythms.

It's just about slowing down just a little bit so that you can notice.

There are so many rhythms that come into play in our bodies.

And so there is a rhythm to how we move to how we talk.

But let's just focus on the breath,

On the heartbeat,

And then on spending a moment on the rhythms of your thoughts.

So in this moment,

If your mind is not empty,

That's perfectly okay.

Noticing the thoughts that are moving across your mind.

Is there a rhythm to them?

Is it a comfortable rhythm?

Are the thoughts coming one at a time?

Or is there a flood of thoughts coming?

What is the rhythm of your thoughts?

Is it slow?

Is it fast?

Is it chaotic?

Is it clear?

Whatever it is,

Just noticing it with as much gentleness,

As much ease as possible.

And then spending another moment noticing any other internal rhythms that may be popping up for you without trying too hard,

Without thinking too much.

The rhythm of your digestion,

The rhythm of your eyes blinking,

The rhythm of any movements of your hands or your feet.

Noticing anything that's there to notice.

And then just taking another moment with the rhythm of your breath.

The breath is really one of our core internal rhythms.

And so just allowing yourself to notice again the sensation of your inhale and your exhale.

Just hanging out with that internal rhythm,

Really noticing it.

So often we don't notice our breath when our lives get busy,

Or we hold our breath,

Or it becomes tight or tense.

And so just taking a moment to let your breath and the rhythm of it take up some space inside your body.

Take up some space inside your mind as you notice it,

As you pay attention to it.

One more gentle inhale and exhale.

And if your eyes are closed,

You can gently open them and come back into the space that you're in.

Thank you for joining me.
