
Don't Give Up Meditation

We all go through times when we want to give up. We all go through times when it all just too much and we may even want to quit. It is in those times that we need to recover or discover our own capacity for resilience. This meditation will help you to get back in touch with that part of you that is resilient in order to gain your sense of empowerment.
Transcript
There is a time in the world,
In duality,
Where you need a boost,
Where you need to say,
Hmm,
I gotta get back on the horse.
Because something in you says this kind of sitting back might be a form of denial.
And you might be afraid of something and that's why you're pulling back.
That's why you're giving up.
That's why you're hopeless,
Right?
So today I want to take you through this short meditation to get you in touch with your resilience.
To get you in touch with your get up and go.
To get you in touch with your consistency.
Because consistency is key.
Consistency is always key.
So this is what this whole meditation is going to be about.
Alright everybody,
So let's close our eyes.
Find a place that you can sit up straight.
Take a few deep breaths.
Very good.
Allow yourself to be right here,
Right now.
Good.
And as we go into this meditation,
Let's start by taking three intentional breaths in through your nose and out through your mouth.
Here we go.
Inhale.
And exhale.
Inhale.
And exhale.
One more.
Inhale.
And exhale.
Good.
And do your best to let go of anything that came before this moment.
And do your best to let go of anything that's going to come after this moment.
So you can just be right here,
Right now,
Following my voice.
And getting in touch.
And now,
Because it's so important when we go into a meditation that we relax our body.
I'd like you to imagine,
Sense or feel a beautiful white light like a spotlight above your head.
And it's shining down on you.
This white light is pure.
It's safe.
And it feels very good.
So imagine,
Sense or feel this white light just starting to go over your head and over your shoulders and neck.
If you can't see it,
That's okay.
Just sense it.
Sense this feeling of safety,
Of relaxation.
Good.
And it starts to go down your arms.
Down your back.
Your arms become enveloped in this beautiful white light.
And now it travels down your chest and your upper back.
Take a deep breath into your lungs.
And now it just keeps going down your back over your torso.
This white,
Crystalline light of safety,
Of comfort.
And your organs in your torso begin to relax.
All your muscles start to let go.
Really feel how your organs are just saying,
Ah.
Now the white light goes over your lower back,
Your buttocks and your reproductive organs.
And all of those organs and muscles begin to relax themselves.
As it goes over the tops of your thighs and down your knees,
This white,
Beautiful light just feels comforting,
Feels easy,
Feels good.
And now finally it just goes all the way down over your knees and under your feet.
Really feel it under your feet so that you're just enveloped in this beautiful white light of relaxation,
Of safety and of peace.
Very good.
Take a couple deep breaths.
And allow yourself to just let these words penetrate you.
Let these phrases and words and guidance just begin to shift yourself.
Whenever we feel hopeless,
Fearful,
Weak,
Like we're going to give up,
It can be in any situation where you've had enough.
Everything in you says that you want to just stop.
And this kind of stop is a little different than allowing your spirit to take a break.
This kind of stopping,
This kind of giving up is the kind that doesn't help us.
It's the form of stopping or giving up that keeps us stuck,
That creates more anxiety.
It is interesting how stopping can create anxiety.
Think about that for a moment.
Because if there's something you know needs to be done or something that needs to be said or a project that you've dedicated yourself to that really needs to be followed through on and you want to give up,
It will create anxiety for you.
Because you know at the deepest level that this relationship,
This project,
This idea of yourself that you want to give up and being hopeless about really is stopping the flow of energy,
Stopping the flow of allowing things to manifest and to grow in the world,
In your life here on this planet.
So what's called for in these times is the idea that we can be in touch with the bigger purpose.
We can be in touch with the truer purpose.
And when we're in touch with that truer purpose,
Then we can begin to feel resilient.
We can begin to get back on the horse.
We can begin to move forward with grace,
With ease,
With joy.
If this is in alignment with ourselves,
We will get up,
We will be resilient,
We will keep moving forward and allowing ourselves to step into another version of ourselves.
Because the version of ourselves that wants to give up,
That is hopeless,
That is ready to give up the game,
That version of ourselves is the old version.
And today,
I want us to get in touch with the version of ourselves that really is there for ourselves,
That stands by ourselves,
That does not forsake ourselves.
So we stand by ourselves.
We do what we say,
We say what we do.
We allow ourselves,
Even if it seems difficult,
To live in integrity,
To live in alignment with our words and our deeds and our actions.
This creates resilience,
This creates consistency,
And this creates real connection with your purpose.
And it doesn't matter what the situation is,
That we are do what you say,
Say what you do.
Take a deep breath.
Now,
I'd like you to just get in touch with that feeling of resiliency,
The feeling that no matter what happens,
You will keep moving.
The feeling that it doesn't matter if you are knocked down a million times,
If it's the truth of you that needs to be expressed through word action and deed,
You will be resilient,
You will get up and you will align with yourself.
Feel the energy of the word resilient.
Resilient.
Resilient.
Notice what it does to you when you connect with the word and the feeling of resilience.
Good.
Remember that feeling of resilience.
If you're really getting in touch with that feeling of resiliency,
It probably feels good.
It probably feels strong.
It probably feels more in alignment with integrity and grace.
Really get in touch with this feeling of resiliency and remember it.
Remember that feeling.
Remember what it's doing to you.
Memorize that vibration of getting back up and making sure you stand by yourself and you don't forsake yourself.
Take a deep breath.
Good.
Going through this and recognizing this vibrational field of resiliency is very powerful.
Now that you've taken the time to really dip into this vibrational frequency of resiliency,
You can bring it back to your conscious life.
So in times when you feel hopeless,
Giving up and failure or in fear,
You can tap into that resiliency.
It's almost like a long distance runner when they get to that point where they're going to just fall,
They pull that courage up,
That resiliency and they keep going.
And when they do that,
They break barriers just like you will break barriers of what you believe you are into something brand new and something beautiful that you don't even know.
And that's all because you're being resilient.
Remember this feeling as I said,
It is in your heart,
It's in your gut,
It is in your mind right now.
Good.
Take a deep breath and we're going to start coming back.
Allow yourself to start to begin to feel your feet.
Start to feel your legs,
You can start to move your legs around,
Moving up your body slowly and easily and gently.
Feeling how your body feels different because of the sense of resiliency.
Now your back,
Your torso,
Your shoulders.
Feel that strength of I never abandoned myself,
I never forsake myself,
I am resilient.
You can move your arms,
Your shoulders,
Your head and your neck.
Begin to really come back now.
Take a deep breath.
You can stretch and we're going to come back as we count backwards from five.
Five you're really starting to wake up now.
Four you're aware of the room you're in.
Three you're really in touch with that resilience feeling.
Two you're almost wide awake.
One you're here and zero you can open your eyes.
Take a moment.
