Good morning beautiful human.
It's a new day,
A new beginning,
And you're here.
You've made the wise decision to take care of yourself before becoming swept up into what the day may bring.
The connection that you are making with yourself right now may seem like a small thing,
But it is monumental.
Allowing yourself this connection sets the tone for the remainder of your day.
It will assist you in continuing to make healthy decisions for yourself throughout the day ahead.
We will begin by finding a bit of movement to help browse our senses and ready ourselves to find a position that will be comfortable to our bodies for the remainder of the session.
As you listen to the prompts today,
Trust your intuition and allow yourself to experience what feels right for you on this morning.
Perhaps you find yourself taking a deep breath and as you exhale you find your shoulders easing down away from your ears.
Perhaps you find yourself alleviating tension in your neck,
Rolling your head or turning it side to side,
Finding whatever movement feels good to you at this moment in time.
Continuing to listen to your body and intuit where and how it wishes to be moved.
Move without judgment,
Honoring your body and offering yourself what you need.
Take your time.
When you're ready,
Coming into stillness,
Find a comfortable position,
Any position that feels right to you.
I invite you to take a moment to connect to the space around you.
Settle in here.
Allow your eyes to close if that feels comfortable to you.
Notice the temperature of the air around you.
Feel the support of the surface beneath you.
Sense the quality of the space enveloping you,
Holding you and opening you to yourself.
As you're ready,
Bring your awareness to your breath.
Notice the sensation of the breath as it enters your nostrils,
As it travels into your chest and all the way into your belly.
Rest here for a brief moment before following the breath as it makes its way from your abdomen through your chest and exits your nose.
Observe the breath in the same manner two more times.
Beautiful.
Now listen to the sound the breath makes on its journey inward and out again.
Twice more.
Good.
I invite you to take a moment to bring your awareness to thoughts or feelings that you feel are not serving you or that you are ready to let go of.
These could be bits of negative self-talk,
Limiting language,
Negativity,
Resentment,
Anything that you feel you're ready to let go of.
Using the breath we will work to release these thoughts and feelings.
You may find that returning to this practice throughout your day will help you to become less and less burdened by these thoughts and feelings.
I invite you to select one such thought or feeling.
Think about what you stand to gain from this being removed and what you may need to bring in to loosen or lighten it.
As you inhale bring in what you need and as you exhale let the thought or feeling that is no longer serving you go.
If you are someone who benefits from an example I offer that as I do this practice with you today I am inhaling the energy I share with all living things and I am exhaling the idea that I'm not good enough.
I invite you to select that which you need and that which you are ready to let go of and allow the breath to move these through you bringing what is needed on the inhale and letting go what is not on the exhale.
If it feels right to you you may continue in this manner for ten cycles of breath.
I encourage you to pause the session if you feel that you would benefit from more time.
As we draw our ten breaths to a close I invite you to begin to become present in the room around you.
Feel the points of contact with the surface below you.
Listen for the sounds around you.
As you're ready gently blinking your eyes open and allowing yourself to orient you may wish to place your hands over your heart and set an intention for your day.
You've gotten off to a great start.
I appreciate your willingness to adjoin me in this practice today and for taking the time to honor and nurture yourself.
Remember that you can return to this practice by bringing your awareness to the breath at any time you choose throughout your day.
May you have a beautiful day.
