Is Life Really About Lessons?

Do you believe that hardships are lessons that we have to learn to get it right?
Do you believe that pain is the only way we grow?
If you think life is teaching you lessons,
You may need to take a look at your alignment.
Struggle is optional.
Gain does not require pain.
Our purpose is not to learn lessons,
But to align with who we really are.
Before you get all wigged out and scream at your podcast app,
Let me say that I certainly do believe we learn things.
That's not what this post is about.
I acknowledge that we learn lessons every day,
But that's not the primary purpose of our lives.
Our primary purpose is to be in joy and live an aligned life with our inner being in wholeness.
When that gets out of whack,
We will definitely feel we have more painful lessons to learn.
So keep reading,
Keep listening,
And I'll explain it further.
We have free will to choose what we want in this life.
I like to refer to it as free will when we decide to follow our highest good through alignment.
Then,
I like to refer to it as free won't as when we choose bondage and deny ourselves from following our highest good through misalignment.
Of course,
It's all free will,
But that helps me distinguish which direction I'm choosing.
So many teachers and gurus believe life is all about the lessons we learn.
I don't believe that anymore,
And here's why.
I do believe that we are here to grow and expand by experiencing the contrast that life offers us,
But that doesn't require a lesson for every piece of contrast.
That would be exhausting.
Contrast is always about offering us a choice.
I acknowledge that contrast doesn't feel good when we initially encounter it,
But that's simply because it is a step one moment of seeing what we don't want so that we know what we would prefer.
If we look at what we prefer immediately after seeing the contrast,
That bad feeling will subside.
There was not necessarily a lesson to learn from the contrast.
It was simply an opportunity to make a choice,
A preference.
When we experience the same type of contrast or problem over and over,
It's not because we haven't learned our lesson.
It's because we have not aligned yet to clean up our energetic environment.
So we're still focusing on and wallowing around in the same vibrational field of what we don't want.
If you want to clean up your repeat mode of the same type of problems,
You can choose to as soon as today.
I'll explain that in a moment.
It seems that people are really good at making up stories about things they don't understand.
Look at all the years that people believed the earth was flat until they had a better understanding of our solar system.
That's when they stopped telling the flat earth story and started telling the round earth story,
Barring those who still insist on a flat earth theory.
People have made up the story that we must be here on earth to learn lessons because they continue to experience the same type of problems over and over and didn't really know how to explain them.
They decided they must be lessons and we just haven't learned them yet.
So now they are on rinse and repeat cycles and spew their wisdom throughout the land.
You must learn your lessons or you'll come back and repeat them until you get it right.

Yes,
That theory may make you feel better about why you're agonizing over the same problem,
But it's not the reason you keep seeing the problems repeating.
That theory eases the frustration,
But it's not really getting you to the freedom you seek.
But what if,
Just what if,
We experienced the contrast,
Recognized what we didn't like about it,
Immediately made our preference of what we do want,
And then just focused on what we wanted?
What if we ignored the unwanted part after the initial experience and solely focused on what we wanted and felt really good about it?
That good feeling would indicate that we are in alignment because we would feel good,
Just like our inner beings are feeling every day,
All day.
Our inner beings are never looking at our problems,
So they wouldn't even know to teach us anything.
They don't focus on how badly we're doing because that same problem is on repeat.
Still,
There's nothing to learn.
There's only alignment or not,
Harmony or not,
Agreement or not.
Our inner beings are solely focusing 100% of their attention on what we just asked for when we made our preference about what we really wanted.
They instantly became that newest,
Biggest,
Badass version of our expanded selves.
We took the growth hit right then and there.
No lesson required.
It would behoove us to stop looking for the lesson and start looking for the alignment.
Repeating things that appear like lessons would subside if we would simply align with who we really are as Source embodied.
Our inner Source is always living the high life of what we created by making our preferences.
We're the ones that don't align with what we've already created and what our inner being has become.
We're the ones missing the mark by not aligning with our newest version.
So we see the contrast or problems repeated because of our lack of alignment.
If you're tired of the same type of contrast or problems on repeat and are tired of the so-called lessons,
Then jump from there into alignment with who you really are.
Sure,
You'll have more contrast come along.
And that's what keeps the eternalness in eternity.
Because without contrast,
There would be no asking for more from life,
No more things to create.
It would be game over for all of us.
Of course,
That can't happen.
But when you're in alignment,
That contrast doesn't bother you as badly.
You see it for what it's value in your life,
Not as a friggin' lesson again.
You welcome the contrast because you know it's your opportunity to ask for something more and to create something new with growth and joy.
Let's talk about this alignment thing that I promised earlier.
Alignment is simply agreeing with our inner beings about who we are as our most evolved being.
So everything we've asked for,
Every preference,
Every improvement,
Our inner being has taken on and become.
Our inner beings are living our magnificent life.
But where are we?
Many times we are still wallowing around in looking at that pesky problem and not looking in the direction of what we've just asked for.
The direction of our inner beings that our inner beings are looking.
We are looking in the opposite direction.
We are so focused on the problem that more problems that feel like the first ones show up.
Over and over,
We see the same type of problems.
That's when we remember that someone,
Somewhere,
Told us we had to learn lessons when we see this pattern.
Now we've got the added pressure of trying to figure out the lesson.
Slow down Skippy,
There's an easier way to get out of the problem,
Repeat cycle,
Which has nothing to do with lessons.
So how do we shift our perspective?
First,
Take a deep breath right now and relax.
And then two more deep breaths.
Okay,
Now you're ready to hear.
Here's the entire secret to releasing your problems.
I'm going to list them for easy reference.
Number one,
Look in the direction of what you want.
You may have to remind yourself what you asked for and that's okay.
How would you want to feel?
If you had it right now,
How do you think you'd be feeling?
Practice that feeling over and over and over and you get the idea.
If you point in the direction you want to go,
You're looking in that direction and you'll begin to move in that direction.
Number two,
Talk about what you want.
Talk about it with excitement and exhilaration and all the good feeling emotions you can conjure.
Talk about it to yourself and anyone who would be willing and excited to listen to your dreams without projecting their fears into your story.
Only talk about what you want.
Find your best cheerleader.
Number three,
Write about this delicious thing you want.
Write it like a letter to a friend and you're telling them about your magical life.
Writing by hand makes the neural pathways in your brain stronger and deeper,
Especially if what you're writing evokes good feeling emotions in you.
As you focus on the good stuff and build those pathways,
The yucky problem pathways that you used to think about will start to disconnect from disuse.
Cool,
Huh?
Number four,
Revel in the joy that you will feel when you get what you want.
The only reason we ask for anything is that we think it will help us feel good.
That's it.
There's no other reason.
We want to feel good,
Just like our inner being.
Make sure your joy and happiness have a strong foundation of appreciation every single day.
A gratitude journal,
Write Yourself a Life of Happiness,

Number five,
Imagine a life living with what you want.
Yep,
Use your imagination to daydream.
Remember daydreaming when you were a kid?
Do that a lot.
It's more energetically valuable than any action you could take to make something happen.
Energy first,
Alignment first.
Number six,
Eat,
Sleep and breathe the good feelings of what you want even before what you want shows up.
Keep your reason for feeling good clear of conditions that could turn your energy resistant.
You're not trying to feel good to make that problem go away.
You want stuff so you'll feel good.
But the trick is to feel good for no friggin' reason.
Feel good because you want to feel good.
That's alignment with your inner being.
Make feeling good your number one priority.
Bam,
Alignment.
And number seven,
If you notice fear and doubt creeping in,
Go back to the first step.
Yep,
Even the most seasoned life veterans feel fear and doubt creeping in from time to time when we get out of alignment and have to go back to step one.
Rinse and repeat these steps every time you notice a problem or contrast creeping in.
Remember,
Contrast is necessary for your growth,
But it doesn't have to hurt.
It can simply be noticed and acknowledged and a new choice made for your preferred improvement.
Your inner being becomes it and is calling you in that direction.
Then start looking in the direction of the improvement and bam,
You're back into alignment.
You may even want to view contrast from a new perspective.
You could choose to see due contrast and say,
Oh wow,
Another opportunity to create something new and get excited about what new thing you will create from experiencing this contrast.
So it's more about choices,
Not about lessons.
It's about alignment.
We see things we don't want and we know immediately what we do want.
That vibrational message gets sent to our inner beings and the universe holds it for us until we begin looking in that direction and allow ourselves to receive it because we're in alignment.
We're feeling really good.
Don't stop looking at the problem because the solutions are in the opposite direction.
Turn around.
As soon as your alignment stabilizes and you are more consistently feeling good alongside your inner being,
Those repeating patterns of the same type of problems will dissipate.
