This is your host,

This reading is entitled,

Is Learning to Trust the Real Issue?

What do you trust?

Why does it feel that we need to learn to trust more?

Why do we seem to struggle with the issue of trust?

Why are we dissatisfied with our trust?

Trust has always been a struggle for me.

I want to trust in source more.

I want to trust myself more.

I want to trust others more.

I want to trust the process of life more.

But sometimes it just feels that I fail at trusting.

It seems that I'm actually trusting more in the bad stuff that happens.

Whatever happens that I don't want gets my attention.

It seems to be true because it's happening,

Right?

I want to let that go.

Recently,

I came across a quote from Bashar that felt like a light bulb in the soul moment for me.

Here's the quote.

You are never,

Ever,

Ever,

Ever,

Ever,

Not for a moment,

Not trusting something to be true.

The question,

Therefore,

Is not how do I learn to trust.

The question is how do I allow myself to trust what I want to trust in instead of trusting what I don't prefer.

That's the issue.

You don't have to learn how to trust.

You don't have to learn how to change.

You don't have to learn how to shift.

You do it automatically.

Boom!

I never thought of it this way.

We're always trusting something to be true.

The trust issue is not that we need to learn how to trust more.

The issue is that we need to allow ourselves to trust in what we want,

Not what we don't want.

If we would practice looking forward what we want more often,

We would begin to see less of what we don't want.

As Einstein said,

This is not philosophy.

This is physics.

We vibrate when we focus on anything.

We're focusing energy that is attractive in nature.

That vibration signals the universe to match us with more experiences that feel like our vibration.

So,

If we're busy looking for good things to trust,

We will attract more of the same and the things we don't want will diminish from lack of attention.

Our brains alter physiologically when we train ourselves to look at something differently.

Neural pathways are only created and maintained by repetitive use.

Once our attention is redirected,

Old pathways disconnect from disuse.

The new pathways become dominant with attention repetition.

Where are you putting your attention?

Wherever you put your attention will indicate what you are trusting.

As Bashar instructed us to ask ourselves,

How do I allow myself to trust what I want to trust instead of trusting what I don't prefer?

Here are a few suggestions to improve the direction of your trust.

Number one,

Notice how you feel throughout the day.

When you take a reading on how you feel,

You will feel the emotions of the moment.

What you're feeling,

Negative or positive emotions,

Indicate where your attention has been.

That emotion is an indication of what you're trusting in that moment.

How does that feel?

Number two,

Shift your attention if necessary.

If you notice that you don't feel your best,

You can reflect on what you were just thinking.

What were those thoughts?

That's what you were trusting in.

Do you need to shift your attention to something more pleasing?

So you shift your attention a pattern of trust?

Give more air time to what you want to increase your trust in that direction.

Number three,

Stay on the same pattern of thought.

If you notice that you are feeling really good,

Yay for you!

That means that at that moment your trust was in something that supports your expansion in becoming more true to who you are as love and joy embodied.

Hold the course.

Stay with that pattern of trust and revel in the good feelings that are vibrational requests of more from the universe.

Number four,

Trusting affirmations.

When you feel good,

Take a few minutes to write some affirmations about the good things you trust.

Here are a few examples of what I would write.

I trust that Source loves me at all times.

I trust that everything always works out for me.

I trust that my inner being knows how to guide me by how I feel.

I trust myself to hear and follow through with impulses to act.

See how easy that is?

As I can feel how true those beliefs are in my spirit,

Deep down I know these to be true and that I can trust their truth.

Just because something happens doesn't mean it must be true for us.

We are the ones who assign the meaning to everything we experience.

And even if something is true because it happened,

Does that mean we want to invite it in with our attention into our futures?

No!

Our purpose in life is to experience as much joy as possible.

So how does focusing on what we don't want improve our trust?

It doesn't!

That's why it's imperative that we focus more on what we do want and place our trust there.

It's all about focus,

Baby.

And the more we choose to look for things that please us,

Things we love,

People we love,

Activities we enjoy,

And feelings of satisfaction,

We place our trust in things we want.

We expand the good feelings,

The good things we manifest,

And our trust explodes in wonderful ways.

Focus on wonderful things and your trust will follow along.
