Welcome.

This is your host,

Mary Ann Pack,

Spiritual medium,

Author,

And a joyologist.

This reading is entitled,

Is It Fear or Something Else?

Fear,

That nasty feeling rips through our bodies with painful,

Energetic waves.

We all have fear.

We can't completely get away from fear.

We're human.

But what is fear?

Where does it come from?

And how the hell do we make it go away?

You know as well as I do that fear strikes at the most inopportune time.

We're clipping along and feeling pretty good,

And then we're reminded of a thought.

We think the thought,

And bam,

Fear rips through us again.

Maybe we start to think we've done something wrong again.

Why does this keep happening?

We're doing the work of transformation and healing.

We're feeling better emotionally every day.

We're doing really well at releasing resistance,

But then fear jumps on us like a rabid dog and won't let go.

We know about our emotional guidance system.

We know that when we think some thoughts,

They feel really good.

And the opposite is also true.

When we think other thoughts,

They feel really bad.

We know our emotions tell on our thoughts every single time.

We've got all that.

But we also may think that the better we're doing,

We shouldn't ever fear feel fearful again.

Then we start accusing ourselves of doing something wrong.

We're not really doing as good as we thought we were.

We criticize and blame ourselves.

I understand all of this.

I am always working through this.

That's why I write these blogs,

Hoping that working through my mess openly will help you.

So,

I am doing great.

I'm getting better and better at this game of joyful living.

I'm happier than I have ever been.

I'm more at peace and life is flowing with more ease.

I relax and breathe deeply throughout the day.

I know I am improving when I drop down the emotional scale with doubt and worry.

I notice it and I climb back up much faster than in years past.

So,

I do acknowledge my transformation is happening.

I am growing and evolving into more of who I really am as love and joy embodied.

I am better at noticing when I'm out of alignment and respond much more quickly now.

I notice when I don't feel good and realize it's time to shift my thoughts to find relief.

More and more,

I'm getting back into the vortex in short order and feeling good again.

So,

Let me ask you some questions.

What if fear could be perceived differently?

What if we could put a positive spin on fear?

What if we could replace the word fear with the word guidance?

What if we viewed the feeling of fear as our guidance system working really well?

What would this new perspective offer you?

What would change if you decided to see fear as guidance?

Would you be easier on yourself?

Would you not beat up on yourself and no longer make yourself wrong?

Would life be better?

I think so.

We know our emotions are guidance.

Since they do tell on our thoughts every single time,

We can rest assured that all of our emotions are indicators of what we have been thinking.

We can trust our emotions to tell us when we're in alignment and when we're not by how we feel.

That feeling of fear is just another emotion that stems from thoughts that are in opposition to what our inner beings know,

Think,

And feel about us and anything important to us.

It's just an emotion.

It's not going to kill us.

It's just an indicator.

So,

Take it for what it really is.

Fear is guidance.

Fear is guidance.

Feel into that.

Wow!

What a relief!

With relief,

We regain our power.

We are back in control.

We have the power to choose our thoughts.

So,

If we feel fear,

We don't plow through it and push through it as some teach.

If we're really in fear,

That's definitely not the time to push through anything.

No,

We recognize it for what it is.

Guidance.

And shift our thoughts to regain our alignment.

We think thoughts that are in agreement,

In harmony with our inner beings.

And we'll know when we're there by the improved feelings.

Once we're back in alignment,

Then we can move forward with ease and flow.

Fear dissipates and we have the green light to go forth joyfully.

I have another question for you.

What if it's not really fear you're feeling when you want to move forward?

If you're feeling what you think is fear when you want to take the next step,

It may not really be fear.

It may be excitement or exhilaration with a touch of doubt.

Well,

That's not fear.

So,

Maybe it's time to recognize the difference between fear and excitement when moving into the unknown.

And,

Of course,

Nothing is unknown to our inner beings.

So,

Even if you don't know what will happen next when you take this exciting step,

Your inner being does.

It's a sure thing.

If you line up with the energy of it,

It's a done deal.

So,

If someone tells you to feel the fear and do it anyway,

Stop in your tracks and evaluate your feelings.

You may not be feeling fear.

If you examine the feeling a little deeper,

You may realize it really is excitement mixed with a dash of doubt or uncertainty.

That's different from fear.

It is still giving you guidance.

It's still telling you to release any doubt and move fully into the excitement.

Once you recognize it as excitement and focus there,

The doubt will fade away and then it's showtime.

Let the excitement about it carry the energy forward and build momentum.

It will plow right over any particle of doubt.

But never,

Ever move forward in true fear.

That fear is your guidance and wisdom indicating you are not yet in a steady alignment.

So,

You're not yet ready to move forward.

Moving forward in fear and struggle is a sure way for it to backfire on you.

Your work first is to get into alignment.

Find your relief,

Move up into feeling good,

And then do whatever inspires you.

From this place of alignment,

You are unstoppable in whatever you choose to pursue.

Here are a few ideas to help shift your perspective into shift fear into guidance.

1.

Notice how you feel and what thoughts you were just thinking.

Did it feel like fear?

2.

Declare to yourself that this is not fear,

It is guidance.

So,

This reassures you that your emotional guidance system is working perfectly.

3.

What is the guidance indicating?

This is where you listen to your inner wisdom.

Your thoughts were in opposition to that of your inner being.

Were you contradicting what your inner being knows,

Thinks,

And feels about you and the situation you're considering?

4.

Reach for thoughts that bring relief and feel so much better.

You may want to repeat some mantras or affirmations that uplift and encourage your mood.

Relax and chill for a bit.

Take a few deep breaths to summon life force through you.

5.

Always include some form of appreciation practice.

Appreciation banishes all fear,

Anxiety,

Or doubt.

Appreciation is in perfect alignment with who you really are as an extension of Source Energy.

Well,

I hope you received a new perspective about fear actually being your guidance.

What a relief to know we don't need to fear fear.

It's simply guidance indicating that we need to work on our thoughts to align with what our inner being knows,

Thinks,

And feels about us and what we're fixing to do.
