Welcome to this meditation on self-love.

Reconnecting with your purest self.

During this meditation you will revisit a very old part of yourself.

One that you might not have met for a very very long time.

Maybe the last time you connected was when you were a very young child.

That's when we are at our most pure,

Most innocent,

Free from other people's influences,

Their projections,

Everyday worries,

People's judgments.

We still have a child's naivety and innocence.

But we are free from things we hear in the media,

Free from cultural and societal constructs that we grew up in,

Free from certain religious concepts we don't believe in.

Back to a time when we all had pure curiosity,

Real spontaneity,

Playfulness.

When our senses were still sharp and you were listening to your intuition naturally.

Still connected to your instincts and living right in the moment.

This is the free child within you that we all have.

But often this child is hiding away.

Let's reconnect,

Let's do a little bit of healing,

Let's revisit.

So make yourself comfortable.

You might be sitting or lying,

Wherever you are,

Try to get yourself a little bit more comfortable.

And now take three deep breaths.

Deep breath in and out.

Deep breath in and deep breath out.

And again,

Deep breath in and out.

If you notice any tension in your body,

Just imagine this tension leaving your body every time you breathe out.

Now slowly get back to your natural rhythm of breathing.

Imagine yourself in a beautiful place.

It could be an actual place or a fictional place.

But it is a beautiful place.

A very peaceful place.

Very welcoming.

Everything is just right.

Look around you.

What do you notice?

Do you notice any sounds?

Can you feel the sun on your skin?

Or maybe there is a little breeze?

Breathe in that fresh air.

Relax into this place.

You love being here with all your being.

And as you are there,

You notice not far from you there is a little child playing.

This child is exploring its surroundings.

Exploring things with curiosity.

With playfulness.

Joyfully.

Discovering new things.

Touching them.

Using all senses.

Everything is new.

Everything is fascinating.

Get a little closer.

Embrace the child's curiosity.

Do you remember how it was?

When everything was new?

Did you like to explore new things?

As you get closer,

You notice that this child is your younger self.

What else do you notice about your younger self?

What do you feel in this very moment?

Can you reach out?

Maybe your fingertips can touch.

Maybe you can sit together.

Allow your younger self to tell you a story about their dreams.

Their wishes.

And their hopes.

What are those dreams?

What are those wishes?

What are those dreams?

Meet them with an unconditional voice of acceptance and optimism.

What were you hoping for?

Who did you want to become?

Tell yourself that it is okay to be you.

What happens in this moment?

Explain that it is okay to have fun.

It is okay to experiment and to make mistakes.

You are important.

And your needs and wants are important too.

You are living life fully.

Embracing life's opportunities and challenges.

And growing through them.

And your wisdom.

And your own thoughts matter.

You have a voice.

And you use it.

It is okay to be emotionally close to others.

It is okay to protect yourself.

And wherever you are in your life,

It is okay for you to be here.

There is a space here for you on this planet.

And you claim it.

Your presence is wanted.

You contribute to others.

With your smile.

With your kindness.

With your laughter.

With your wisdom.

And as you are saying these permissions and affirmations to yourself,

Give yourself that promise to be that nurturing parent that every child deserves.

You are here together.

An unbreakable loving bond.

Unconditional love for yourself.

This is your promise to yourself.

And as you are there holding hands,

You are embarking on a new journey together.

It is exciting.

From now on,

Neither you nor your younger self will be alone.

Return to this safe place together whenever you want.

And when you are ready,

Open your eyes.

And when you are ready,

Your voice and your gentleness gave me the safety and the space to imagine my little child and a beautiful beach where we met and I remembered who I was meant to be.
