Welcome to Day 3 of the 21 Day Rising Voice Course,
An online guided journey to become an instrument of the divine through vocal liberation,
Channeling,
Accessing earth wisdom and becoming a conduit of source energy for healing and creation.
Remember to access the daily warm-up audio practice to warm up your vessel,
Your vocal cords,
Your inner flute.
Once you're all warmed up,
Then join me here for this practice of Day 3,
Vocalizing your sacred feminine,
Exploring your head voice and mask through the vowel glory.
This practice is dedicated to the three upper chakras,
Throat,
Third eye and crown.
Create a safe space for you to do this practice and find a comfortable seated position to start our practice for today.
We enter this temple together now and we pray for love,
For joy,
For oneness and unity,
For health and beauty,
For wisdom and abundance for all sentient beings,
Giving full freedom to this moment,
Creating sacred union within us and with nature,
Ready to remember that you are limitless,
You are infinite,
You are a luminous energy field,
You are unique.
Every inhale is a temple of love.
Every exhale is a waterfall of trust.
So let's start with a few gentle slides going upwards,
Like so.
Copy me as it feels comfortable to you right now.
So it sounds like this.
So come together.
Well done.
And down like a waterfall.
Again,
As it feels comfortable to your vocal range right now.
Play around a little bit.
And now let's make the transitions in between slow,
As slow as possible.
On the waterfall one,
It sounds like this.
You can just hold it for as long as your breath holds.
And here we go a couple of more times.
Beautiful.
There might be a certain transition for you,
Which feels a little bit more challenging.
That could be your break.
The break is the bridge between your head voice and your chest voice.
And of course,
By practicing more often,
We can smooth out these breaks until the transition is nice and clear.
For example,
My break in this moment,
I will make it audible this time.
It sounds like this.
It's somewhere there.
Some transition which goes a little bit like.
.
.
And by practicing going from up to down again and again,
I can smooth that break.
So that I can come from my head voice into my chest voice more smoothly.
Like it doesn't really show.
Like this.
Right?
It was exactly where my voice came down from volume a little bit.
Now,
Bring your awareness to how your lips are moving when you sing the sound.
And once more,
You are making the transition between the sound to the sound.
Ever so slow.
So it sounds like this.
Perhaps you are exaggerating a little bit with the shape of your mouth.
Try one more time.
Good one.
Focus on your third eye chakra.
Closing the eyes and lifting your inner gaze in between the eyebrows.
And try this again.
That's great.
Notice how the vibration of your sound comes from this area around the mouth.
Which is called the mask.
Introducing the ya sound on a different tone.
Again,
The transition is made ever so slowly.
And really use the lips to help produce that ya sound.
Forming a ya in the beginning and an ah towards the end.
Relaxing the jaw.
Especially on the ah sound.
Try it this time.
We'll go further up.
One more time.
Deep breath in.
Focusing on your crown chakra.
And allowing for your sound this time to vibrate all the way from the top of your head.
Let's try one more time.
Deep breath in.
Introducing the wow sound.
One of my all-time favorites.
See your breath as a three-part vehicle.
First part is an ooh sound.
Second part is an ah sound.
And third part is an ooh sound.
Again.
So I'm breathing in and it sounds like this.
Again,
Making sure there is a very slow transition between the vowels.
Deep breath in and try it out yourself.
Let's try one here.
Beautiful.
And one here.
Make sure you're maintaining a single tone.
And only changing for the production of these sounds.
The ooh,
The ah and the ooh.
This time we're adding a bunch of wow-wows in the same breath.
And we descend in tone.
So it would sound like this.
And focus first on your crown chakra.
Then on your third eye.
Then on your throat chakra.
And lastly on your heart.
So within the same breath,
I shift my focus from top of the head towards the heart.
Each time vocalizing one wow.
So let's try it.
Deep breath in.
One more time.
Deep breath in.
Beautiful.
Beautiful.
And now copy me in this series of wah-wahs,
Ya-yas and wow-wows.
Here we go for our first call and response round of today's practice.
Imitate me at the best of your ability right now.
Here we go.
Don't worry if you don't copy all the phrases spot on.
With a bit of practice they will become available to you.
Of course if you feel my feedback or a one-on-one session with me might serve you in improving and identifying a challenge you might be experiencing.
The vowels are such a powerful tool in helping us appropriately shape the mouth for our singing voice.
Improving our placement,
Our intonation and the use of syllables.
So let's play around together with different variations and vowel combos.
Focusing mainly on your throat chakra.
Immersing yourself in the sapphire blue light of this chakra beneath your closed eyes.
Second round of call and response practice for today.
As soon as I vocalize it's your turn and then I go again and then you go again.
Here we go.
Repeat after me.
And as we have so beautifully warmed up these higher frequency spaces of sound within our bodies.
Connecting to our sacred feminine aspect of our soul.
Empowering our head voice to keep on rising smoothly and effortlessly.
Allowing our mask voice to bring in some vocal colors to create our own unique characteristic voice.
And of course appraising our chest voice for always connecting us to Mother Earth.
Let's dedicate our last call and response round to the energetic healing through the voice.
Healing for ourselves to align and center whenever we need this.
Healing for our beloved ones whenever they may need it.
And healing for Mother Earth.
Yes,
Singing back to Mother Earth.
Tone for her,
Sing for her whenever you are out in nature for a walk.
Dedicate your song to her as a gift for her everlasting support and nourishment.
So here we go.
Repeat after me.
Deep breath in.
Take a deep breath in.
And let any sound to be released through your exhalation.
You've done so well.
Two more times.
Taking a deep breath in.
Letting go with a funny sound through your exhalation.
Last time.
Adding a gentle shake in the chest or the hips.
Inhaling deeply.
And letting it out with a.
.
.
Thank you for practicing with me today.
The human voice needs no training.
It's already there.
Finished and perfect as an entity sounding in the ideal world.
What it is waiting for is liberation.
See you tomorrow for day four.
Vocalizing your sacred masculine.
Take good care of yourself,
Your beloved ones and Mother Earth.
