Meditation for Same Gender Parents Find a comfortable seat and a safe space.

Just close your eyes and take a few deep breaths.

Focus on you,

Your emotions,

Your sensations,

Your body.

And behind you,

On your left and right side,

You are going to invite your parents,

Your two fathers,

Or your two mothers.

You can adjust the distance between you and them,

But they have to stay behind you where they belong.

You will also invite the woman that helped your fathers to become your fathers.

She will be standing on their side.

You can also just imagine an egg donor,

But please give her a place.

And invite for your two mothers the men that helped them to become your mothers.

It can also be seen as a sperm donor.

He will be standing on the side of your mothers as he belongs to.

Your fathers or your mothers are here to support you,

Guide you,

And love you for who you are.

And behind your father or your mother,

Your grandparents.

And behind your other father or mother,

Your other grandparents.

Again,

This is where they belong.

Behind their son or behind their daughter,

Doing their best to support them,

Guide them,

And love them for who they are.

And then behind your grandparents,

Imagine your entire family,

All of the countries that your family is from,

All of the men,

All of the women,

Part of your family system,

All being seen,

Acknowledged,

And recognized by each other.

All of them belong,

As you too belong,

As you too have a place.

And try to connect with the little girl or the little boy that you used to be.

Where is she?

What is he doing?

How old is she?

Is he happy?

Lonely?

If you are with your inner child,

Right now ask him,

Ask her silently or out loud,

Ask,

What can I do for you?

How can I help you?

And then if you are still with your little boy or little girl,

You are going to grab one of his little hands and go back to your place,

A place in front of your parents,

Your mothers or fathers,

And tell your little girl or your little boy,

This is your place.

You are not here to take care of mom or dad.

You are here to take care of yourself.

And as for now,

I will be the one taking care of you.

You can lean on me,

You can trust me.

I'm not going anywhere without you anymore.

You are safe.

I love you.

And then if you have older siblings,

You can invite them on your right side.

And if you have younger siblings,

You can invite them on your left side.

If you are also aware of any miscarriages,

Abortions or stillborns,

Please invite them as well,

As everyone belongs.

And then finally,

You can take a few steps forward.

Your inner child will still be on your side.

And in front of you,

There is a beautiful light,

The color of your choice.

It's a light full of love and compassion.

It is your life.

It is your own destiny.

And knowing and acknowledging that your family is right behind you,

You can actually embrace that light,

Merge with it and make it yours.

It belongs to you.

You are loved.

Take your time to open your eyes,

Get some water or tea,

And of course you can journal your emotions or feelings.
