Dr. Marie Holowaychuk is a passionate advocate for mental health and wellbeing in the veterinary profession. A board-certified emergency and critical care specialist with over 20 years of experience, Marie combines her veterinary expertise with a deep commitment to fostering resilience and preventing burnout. After completing her veterinary degree and advanced training in the USA, she spent five years teaching and conducting research at the Ontario Veterinary College before transitioning to consulting. Witnessing the unique challenges of veterinary professionals, Marie founded Reviving Vet Med, a platform offering evidence-based resources and programs like From Burnout to Balance and Building Better Boundaries. As a certified yoga and meditation teacher, Marie incorporates mindfulness into her work, equipping veterinary teams with tools for self-care, effective communication, and healthy boundaries. A dynamic speaker and writer, she delivers keynotes and workshops globally, blending personal stories with practical strategies to inspire lasting change. Marie also hosts the Reviving Vet Med Podcast and has authored over 30 peer-reviewed articles on veterinary medicine and wellbeing. Her contributions have earned her awards such as the Alberta Veterinary Medical Association Communication Award and the Alberta Blue Cross Face of Wellness Award.
