Who am I?
Such a simple and yet terrifying question.
Who are you?
Who are you behind your medical condition?
Who are you behind the personality type that was projected for you in one of those online quizzes?
Who are you behind your zodiac sign,
Behind your horoscope?
Who are you behind that feature that someone so important to you once told you that you had?
Who are you?
Why do you fit into these boxes?
Why do you use these tags as flags?
How do they serve you?
Do they keep you organized or do they actually take you out of yourself?
What are all these labels and boxes for?
So many roles,
So many personality profiles,
Signs,
Ascendants,
Stars,
All the celestial bodies,
The manual of diseases,
So many pathologies.
Your history.
What does that tell you about yourself?
Who are you behind all of this?
All these boxes and labels,
It's so dangerous when you get trapped in them.
You stop questioning,
You stop searching for who you are.
Do you know who you are behind all this?
Don't be a prisoner.
Don't put yourself in a box.
Investigate yourself.
Feel your true self.
Connect,
Observe,
Understand yourself and embrace yourself.
But not to solve anything,
Not to put yourself in a box.
Like,
Oh,
Okay,
That's it,
I figured it out,
Now I can rest.
That's a trap to keep you away from your investigation.
To keep you from being present,
To keep you from understanding who you are every day.
Because every new day,
You are.
We live in this impermanence.
So if you lock yourself in a box today,
How will you know who you are tomorrow?
Fuck that,
How do you know who you are now?
What about now?
And now?
How can you be conscious at this moment?
With yourself at this moment?
If you are no longer here?
Let these labels,
Names,
Boxes,
Help you to understand certain moments,
Specific issues,
Which are only parts,
And understand that they are not who you are.
Surrender to the impermanence and ask again,
Who am I?
Who am I now?
