This meditation allows you to reflect on what love means to you, what makes it unconditional or conditional by tuning into your body and exploring your own level of self-love and your love for others and any conditions there such as a need to change anything about yourself or others. In each case notice what space you're coming from and whether it's from the purity of your heart and soul, or whether it's coming from a space of need, fear, or obligations, or with expectations attached to it (ego-derived). The invitation is to consider does the day or time of year makes a difference to the love you feel for yourself or for others, whether it be Valentine's Day or a birthday, Christmas Day, Mother's Day, or Father's Day. What if you could feel an abundance of love in every single moment of every day? Feel into what that would be like and enjoy.

Welcome to this meditation on unconditional love for yourself and for others.

My name is Maria Lambie and I'll be guiding you through this meditation inviting you to reflect deep within yourself finding the love within yourself for yourself and for others.

So starting to get yourself into a comfortable position.

Feeling your feet against the ground.

Feeling the connection to the earth.

Starting to relax your mind,

Relax your body.

Feeling the different body parts slowly starting to relax and unwind.

Opening your mind to perhaps a new perspective,

A new way of looking at love.

Focusing your attention on your breath.

Noticing with every breath in breathing in love and with every breath out breathing out love.

And really feeling the love flowing in and out of your body through your breath.

So when you hear the word love,

That four letter word that's so commonly used,

Love.

What does that mean to you?

How does it feel in your body when you hear the word love?

And noticing the thoughts coming through.

Noticing the feelings,

Any sensations in your body.

When you hear the words unconditional love,

What does that mean to you?

Noticing what arises through your body.

Noticing any thoughts,

Any feelings,

Any sensations.

When you hear the words unconditional love,

What does that mean?

A love without conditions.

What conditions might there be placed on love?

So feeling into your body,

Noticing what's arising for you without needing to analyze or intellectualize the words that you're hearing.

Simply noticing how it feels in your body.

So when it comes to unconditional love,

Whether it's for yourself or for others,

It's important to be aware of where the love is coming from.

What space is the love coming from?

What's the intention for the love?

It's worth asking yourself,

Is the love coming from your heart,

From the purity of your heart,

Of your soul?

Or is the love coming from somewhere else?

Perhaps from the ego?

Is there a need or a fear or some kind of obligation or expectations attached to the love?

And feeling into what you can relate to with your own experiences of love without judgment,

Simply noticing and observing what's arising for you.

Perhaps there might be a need to feel safe,

To feel secure.

There might be a fear of being alone,

A fear of being lonely.

There might be some guilt or shame that's attached to the love.

And there may be a whole lot of different expectations based on any needs or any fears,

Which may be perfectly valid and justifiable without needing to be validated or justified.

Simply tuning into what's coming up for you,

What you can relate to when it comes to love,

And how the giving and receiving of love with or without conditions,

How that makes you feel.

So starting to turn to yourself,

Looking into the love within yourself that's contained within yourself,

Within your heart,

Within your soul.

You may like to place one or two hands on your heart and really breathe into your heart,

Focusing on your heart and the love that's in your heart,

That you can feel through the pumping of your heart,

Through your breaths,

Through the heart.

And inviting you to imagine looking in the mirror and seeing your reflection in the mirror.

Taking a good look at yourself in the mirror and noticing what you see.

Noticing how it feels to be looking at yourself in the mirror and noticing what arises for you.

The sensations in your body,

The thoughts,

The feelings,

And acknowledging what's there.

Being honest and gentle with yourself as you look at your own reflection in the mirror.

Can you feel the love?

With hands on your heart,

Asking yourself,

Can you feel the love for yourself?

Can you feel the purity of love for yourself?

Does it feel complete or is there perhaps a void?

Is there some resistance?

And being honest and truthful with yourself,

Feeling into what's arising for you right now,

With this vision,

Looking at your own reflection in the mirror and asking yourself,

Do you feel a need for something to change about yourself or within yourself?

If there's something that you could change about yourself,

Would that allow you to feel more love for yourself?

And knowing there's no right or wrong answer,

Simply the truth of what lies within you.

And noticing what's coming up for you without judgment.

Noticing what that is.

Would it make a difference if you could change anything without needing to focus so much on what that change might be,

But how it might make you feel differently about yourself.

And noticing what's arising for you right now.

And inviting yourself to now consider the possibility,

What if there was absolutely no need for anything to change about yourself,

About what you see,

About what's within yourself and what's outside of yourself,

Your physical attributes,

Your internal attributes.

If there was nothing that you needed to change about yourself and you could look at yourself and accept exactly what you see,

Accept any impurities,

Any imperfections that you may be perceiving about yourself.

What if you could accept it all?

Accept yourself exactly as you are right now,

In this moment.

What if you could even go further and acknowledge everything that you've been through,

To get to where you are now.

Acknowledging the person that you are today.

Acknowledging how far you've come to be where you are right now,

In this moment and all that you've been through.

All the steps you've taken,

The backward steps,

The forward steps,

The stumbles,

The falls,

The picking yourself up,

All of it.

What if you could accept it all,

In one bundle,

For who you are right now and accept it through the love that's contained in your heart.

If you could feel into the purity of the heart that lies within,

Within your heart,

Within your soul and offer that back to yourself.

Imagine that possibility,

Imagine what that would be like,

Imagine what that would feel like,

Regardless of any of life's circumstances,

The current circumstances,

The past circumstances,

Any future circumstances,

Regardless of what's going on in your outside world,

In the exterior world.

What if you could simply accept and love yourself for who you are,

Right now,

Right here,

Right now,

In this moment and just feel into that.

Feel into the love,

Feel into the acceptance,

If it's not fully there,

Feel into that as well.

Feel into the truth within you,

The truth that lies within your heart,

Within your soul and breathe into that.

Feel the flow of your breath in and out of your body,

The flow of love in and out of your body through your breath and now turning to the love that you have for others.

If you can tap into the purity of the love that you have within yourself,

For yourself,

Imagine projecting and offering from the purity of your heart and soul,

Offering love outside of you to others.

Can you imagine what you might receive without any expectation,

But simply imagining what might you receive back and imagine others reciprocating after receiving the purity of your love from your heart,

From all your heart and your soul.

Imagine what they would be wanting to reciprocate back to you and breathing into that,

Feeling into that and now asking yourself,

If you can look deep within yourself and accept yourself without needing to change anything,

Including whatever circumstances you might be facing or have faced in the past or yet to face,

What if you could apply that approach to others around you?

What if you could offer them the purity of your love,

Your unconditional love,

Without needing to change anything about them,

Even the things that that you really wish you could change?

What if you could simply accept others as they are and still wish for any changes you may wish for,

But what if you could simply accept others as they are without needing to change them,

Without needing to to change anything,

Certainly asking for any changes that you you would love,

But without being attached to any particular outcome?

And imagine,

Imagine what that would be like,

Imagine the weight being lifted off your shoulders,

The relief of not feeling the pressure,

The tension or any stress of feeling any need to change anything about yourself or about others in order for you to love yourself or to love others and just noticing what that feels like in your body,

Imagining and really feeling what would that feel like and it's worth asking yourself,

Does it matter what day or time of the year when it comes to the love you have inside to offer yourself and to offer others,

Whether it be Valentine's Day or a birthday,

Christmas Day,

Mother's Day or Father's Day or an anniversary,

Any special occasion,

Does that make a difference to the love,

The abundance of love that's already contained within the purity of your heart,

Of your soul,

The love that's there for you to offer back to yourself as self-love and the love that's there for you to offer to others outside of yourself and imagine what would it be like if you could feel the abundance of the love that's already existing within your heart,

Within your soul,

If you could feel that love in every single moment of every day of your life,

Can you imagine not only having but feeling and accessing the abundance of unconditional love that is contained within the purity of your heart,

Of your soul,

That's waiting to be accessed by you,

For yourself and for others,

Can you imagine what that would be like and can you imagine through the abundance of love,

The purity of it that you're offering to the world,

Imagine the love that you will also be receiving back,

Pure unconditional love for yourself and for others.

So starting to come back into the space,

Gently wiggling your fingers,

Wiggling your toes and opening your eyes when you're ready.
